Battery Installation
Using AA Alkaline Batteries:
- Gently pull at the opening to open the battery compartment.
- The battery compartment shows battery icons. Insert batteries according to the +/- markings.
- Close the battery compartment to prevent water or dust from entering.
Note: Incorrect insertion of any of the 8 AA batteries may cause acid leakage and potential explosion, leading to camera malfunction and damage to the battery compartment.
Power Supply
Using 9-12V Power Sources:
- Remove the rubber cover from the port on the bottom of the camera. Connect the universal 9-12V cable to the port on the bottom of the camera.
- Route the cable along the side of the camera, where a hook is prepared under the door hinge to secure the cable. This secures the power cable and prevents stress at the connection point.
- If the universal 9-12V port on the bottom of the camera is not in use, cover it with the rubber cover.
Memory Card Installation
Inserting Micro SD Card:
- Insert the Micro SD card with the contacts facing away. The Micro SD card should slide in easily with light resistance. Press the Micro SD card inwards until it clicks. This indicates that the Micro SD card is locked in the correct position and ready for use.
- To remove the Micro SD card, push the card inwards, which will release it.

EVOLVEO Config Software
The EVOLVEO Config software allows you to set up camera parameters. It is available for download and is compatible with MS Windows.
You can download EVOLVEO Config from: https://webftp.evolveo.com/ftp/digital_camera/strongvision/strongvision-LTE/SW/
After downloading, extract the EVOLVEO_MMS CONFIG.rar file.
For setup assistance, scan the QR code with your mobile phone to be directed to a video tutorial.
Entering TEST Mode (Setup)
Switch the mode selector from OFF (off) to TEST (setup mode) to turn on the camera. The setup window will appear on the screen.
A SIM card is required for transferring photos via MMS or E-MAIL. Without a SIM card, the trail camera will only save images to the inserted SD card. You can use a SIM card from any operator.
- Verify that your SIM card supports Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), and data transfer.
- If you are using a new SIM card, it needs to be activated (usually by inserting it into a phone and making a call from it). Then, you can insert it into the trail camera. After the SIM card is recognized, the display will show the signal status and operator name.
Warning: The SIM card must have the PIN code deactivated and must be activated by the operator.
Upon opening the camera, you will find a control panel with 8 buttons.
Control Buttons
- MENU (Menu): Press the MENU button to open the Settings menu.
- REPLAY (Playback): Press this button to enter playback mode. Press to play video; press again to stop the video.
- Play video, press again to stop.
- Switches to manual recording mode for video.
- Switches to manual recording mode for photos.
- SHOT (Snapshot): Manually capture video or photos depending on the selected recording mode. Video recording stops by pressing the SHOT button.
Operation Modes
Finding Optimal Position (TEST Mode)
You can find the best position for the camera in TEST mode. It is recommended to place the camera at a height of 1-2 meters from the ground.
Press
to display the IMEI (in TEST mode).Entering ON Mode (Active)
After completing all settings, switch the power button to the ON position to start automatic mode. The motion indicator will flash red for about 5 seconds, and then the camera will start working. When a person or animal enters the PIR sensor's detection area, it will immediately start taking photos or recording video.
Warning: To prevent false triggers caused by temperature or motion interference, do not point the camera at a heat source (e.g., sun, hot stone, or metal), nor place it near branches or reeds. The ideal direction for aiming is north, in an open area without heat sources. Also, remove any reeds from the area in front of the camera.
MMS Setup
Configuration
To set up the trail camera, use the EVOLVEO Config tool, which you can download from the link below. This tool creates a PARAMETER.DAT file that must be saved to the device's SD card. Always insert the SD card with the file into a powered-off device; otherwise, the settings will not load.
The configuration software is for MS Windows only.
EVOLVEO Config can be downloaded here: https://webftp.evolveo.com/ftp/digital_camera/strongvision/strongvision-LTE/SW/
Extract the EVOLVEO_MMS CONFIG.rar file.

MMS Setup
Automatic MMS Mode:
In the MMS tab, select MMS ON, then choose "Auto". The trail camera will then offer default settings for your operator in the subsequent setup.
MMS messages are charged by your operator and in most cases are a more expensive service than sending emails.
- Select Country
- Select Operator
- In the empty field on the right, enter the recipient's phone number.
- Enter the email address for receiving photos. In this setting, sent E-MAILS are charged the same as MMS. If you want to send emails using a data plan, go to the Email tab in EVOLVEO Config.
Manual MMS Mode:
If configuration information is not available for selection, choose Manual MMS mode. Contact your operator and manually enter the parameters required for sending MMS messages: APN, account, password, MMSC, server IP address, and port. Then, enter the phone number, email address, or both, to which MMS messages should be sent.
Email Setup
1) Email Setup
This method of sending images is also called data transfer. Currently, it is a very popular method where an image is sent from email to email and only data is charged.
Recommended settings are shown below the text in the image in the EVOLVEO Config program.
- a) Set SMTP to "ON"
- b) Set SMTP Mode to "AUTO"
- c) Set Country to "Slovakia"
- d) Select your operator
2) GPRS Setup:
If you selected SMTP mode "AUTO", no further setup is needed. If you entered the Email Setup manually, fill in the details provided by your operator.
3) Email Server Setup:
We recommend using the EVOLVEO email server!
- a) TYPE: EVOLVEO
- B) Further settings will be automatic - no changes are needed.
4) Email Recipient:
Enter the email addresses to which you want to send captured images.
WARNING: The camera only sends photos via email. In case of a set series of shots, only the first shot of the series is sent.
The quality of photos sent via email is always lower than the quality of images on the SD card. 2G/GPRS is a slow data transfer, so images are reduced for email. The quality of sent images can be adjusted in the device menu: Menu/Settings/Image Size.
Manual SMTP Mode
If configuration information is not available for selection, choose Manual MMS mode. The user must first contact the SIM card operator to obtain the APN, account, and password, and fill them in; for server and port information, contact the sending email provider.
d. Enter the sender's email address.
e. On the left, enter the password for the sender's email address.
f. On the right, enter the delivery email address.
Save the "Parameter.dat" file to a Micro SD card
FTP Settings
- Open the Evolveo Config application.
- Switch to the FTP tab and navigate to the left side of the window.
- Switch FTP to ON.
- Enter the FTP address of your server.
- Select the port; the default is port 21.
- Select the folder where items should be saved.
- Enter your login credentials.
- In the right part of the window, select the country and your operator.
- If everything is filled in correctly, select the "Save" button at the bottom and save the parameter.dat file to the SD card of the trail camera for photos.

Troubleshooting
Trail Camera Did Not Capture Target Object
- Check PIR sensitivity. In warm environments, set the sensor level to "Low"; in cold weather, set it to "High".
- Try to position the camera so that no heat source is within its field of view.
- Placing the camera near water may sometimes cause it to take photos without any subject present in the images.
- Aim the lens slightly upwards from the ground.
- Position the camera on a stable, non-moving object, e.g., a sturdy tree.
- If the motion sensor detects IR illumination at night, reduce the distance setting by adjusting the sensor sensitivity.
- Rising or setting sun can trigger the sensor.
- Re-aim the camera.
- If a person/animal moves quickly, it may disappear from the camera's field of view before a photo is taken. Move the camera back or reposition it.
Camera Stopped Taking Photos
- Ensure there is enough space on the memory card. If the card is full, the trail camera will stop taking photos.
- Check the batteries to ensure they have enough power for the camera to operate (alkaline, NIMH, or lithium batteries).
- Ensure the switch is in the "ON" mode position and not "OFF" or "Test".
Night Vision Flash Range Not Meeting Expectations
- 4 AA batteries are not a sufficient power source for the camera's night vision; please use 8 AA batteries to ensure longer battery life.
- Ensure the batteries are fully charged or have sufficient energy remaining.
- High-quality 1.5V NIMH or lithium rechargeable AA batteries may offer a better infrared flash range than alkaline batteries.
- To achieve sharp and high-quality images, mount the camera in a dark environment without obvious light sources.
- To achieve sharp and high-quality night images, mount the camera in a dark environment without any obvious light sources.
- Certain surroundings (e.g., trees, walls, landscape, etc.) within the flash range can provide better night shots; do not aim the trail camera into completely open areas where there is nothing within the IR flash range to reflect it. If you shone a flashlight at the sky at night, you would see nothing, and the same applies to the trail camera.
Trail Camera Takes Photos But Does Not Send Them to Phone/Email
- If the MMS/SMTP function is enabled, the camera will take about 1 minute to send a photo before it can take another.
- Format the memory card before first use.
- If you select manual mode, the entered information might be problematic. Contact your SIM card operator to confirm the correctness of all information, such as APN, server, and port.
- If you switch to MMS function, you do not need to enter the international dialing code before the phone number; just enter your phone number.
- If you switch to SMTP function, verify that your email server and port are correct. Some email servers will reject emails as SPAM; you may find your email in the SPAM folder, or contact the seller to send you a test email and try it.
- Do not rename the Parameter.dat file. You can verify your phone number and email in the trail camera's menu. Save Parameter.dat to the root directory of the memory card, otherwise the trail camera will not be able to recognize Parameter.dat.
