ATTENTION! IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Always unplug the adjustable bed frame from the electrical outlet before any cleaning or maintenance. To disconnect safely, ensure all controls are off, then remove the plug. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Keep air openings free of lint, hair, and other objects; never operate with blocked openings. Do not drop or insert objects into any opening. Use only indoors. Cease use and contact the Adjustable Bed base center for repair if the cord/plug is damaged, the unit is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or submerged in water.

GROUNDING SAFETY

This product features a polarized plug for use with a grounded electrical outlet. If the plug does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a properly grounded outlet. Failure to use a grounded outlet compromises this safety feature. Adapters are not recommended unless the outlet's grounding is verified by a qualified electrician. Unauthorized modifications may void the electrical portion of your warranty.

WARRANTY WARNING

This bed requires no user maintenance. Tampering with the control box, motors, or hand controls (except the battery compartment) voids the warranty. Only authorized personnel should conduct repairs or part replacement.

FOR OPTIMAL SAFETY, YOUR ADJUSTABLE BED SHOULD BE PLUGGED INTO A SURGE PROTECTOR (not supplied).

This Adjustable Bed is designed exclusively for in-home use.

HOSPITAL DISCLAIMER: It is NOT designed for hospital use or to meet hospital standards. Do not use with TENT TYPE oxygen therapy equipment or near explosive gases.

IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES

Weight Fail-Safe Feature: If an overload of weight is placed on the head or foot mechanism, the control unit will automatically stop all functions. Functions will resume automatically 30 seconds after excess weight is removed.

CONSUMERS WITH PACEMAKERS

The optional vibrating feature may be misinterpreted by some pacemakers as movement or exercise. Consult your physician with any concerns.

RADIO FREQUENCY

Radio Frequency is 433.92 MHZ. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) it must not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received. Changes to the antenna or device could exceed RF exposure requirements and void the user's right to operate the device.

Input transformer voltage: AC120V 60HZ; Output voltage: DC24V 3A. A fuse (1A-1.5A) protects the electrical equipment in case of a short-circuit. Seek professional assistance for fuse replacement. Call Customer Care at: 1-877-826-8757.

PRODUCT RATINGS

Lift Motor Restrictions: Lift motors are not designed for continuous operation for more than three (3) minutes over a thirty (30) minute period (approx. 10% duty cycle). Exceeding these limits will shorten product life and may void the warranty.

Weight Restrictions:

  • Twin/TXL/Split QN/Split CA King: 575 Pounds
  • Full/FXL: 600 Pounds
  • Queen: 650 Pounds

The bed structure supports the recommended weight when distributed evenly. Head and foot sections are not designed to individually support this weight. For optimal performance, enter and exit the bed in the flat or level position. Exceeding weight restrictions could damage the bed and void the warranty.

SMALL CHILDREN AND PETS WARNING

Immediately dispose of all packing materials as they can pose a suffocation risk. Injury could occur if children or pets play on or under the bed. Do not allow children to operate this bed without adult supervision.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS! Proper operation ensures long life and durability. The manufacturer has tested and inspected this product.

Installation Guide

STEP 1: For safety, this should be performed by 2 people. Carefully lift the bed frame unit out of the shipping carton with the top side facing downward.

STEP 2: Assembling Bed Legs You will need 4 bed legs (C). Turn each leg clockwise into the threaded holes on the frame. Repeat for all 4 legs. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE BED LEGS.

STEP 3: Remove and extend the power cord from the frame. Important: MAKE SURE POWER CORDS DO NOT OBSTRUCT ANY ADJUSTABLE BED MECHANISMS.

STEP 4: Remove plastic wrapping from the base frame.

STEP 5: Carefully rotate the base frame so the top side is facing upward. Be careful not to rest the frame on its side, as weight may damage the legs.

STEP 6: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. (Note: For optimal safety, a surge protector should be used, not supplied).

STEP 7: Install batteries in the hand unit. Test all functions on the hand control to ensure they are operational. If the bed does not work, refer to Troubleshooting on page 14.

STEP 8: Return the bed to a flat or level position.

STEP 9: Attaching the "Quick-Slide" Mattress Retainer Bar Fasten the mattress retainer bar (B) to the foot of the bed base using the "Quick-Slide" method. No tools or screws are required. Position the open ends of the Retainer Bar aligned with the "Loop" Retainer Anchors at the foot of the base surface. Slide the Retainer Bar forward, allowing the open ends to glide into the loop.

If the adjustable frame is to be set up without a headboard, install the mattress on the frame. Installation is now complete. If a headboard is to be installed, proceed to Step 10.

STEP 10: Assemble the Headboard Bracket

  1. Use the hand control to elevate the head of the bed so the frame is reachable.
  2. Slide the inner headboard bracket (D) horizontally with the "C" opening facing down under the Crossbar. Position the Bracket (D) in the guide peg on the bottom of the Crossbar. Insert a headboard bolt (G) fitted with a 5/16 inch washer (I) through the pre-drilled hole in the Crossbar and into the pre-drilled slotted hole in the "C" channel Inner Headboard Bracket. Tighten in place with a 5/16 inch washer (I) and 5/16 inch nut (J). Repeat on the other side.
  3. Place the open side of the outer headboard bracket (E) onto the exposed square tube of the inner headboard bracket (D). Insert a retainer bolt (G) fitted with a 5/16 inch washer (I) into the outer headboard bracket (E) and through the inner headboard bracket (D). Hand tighten using a 5/16 inch washer (I) and a 5/16 inch nut (J). Leave loose enough for adjusting. Repeat on the other side.
  4. When headboard brackets are assembled, ensure there is a space of 1.5 (38.1 mm) to 2 inches (50.8 mm) between the edge of the bed base and the headboard brackets.
  5. Securely fasten the headboard bolts (not included) to the end of the headboard bracket assembly.
  6. Measure the distance from the center of one mounting hole in the headboard to the center of the other.
  7. Measure the distance from the center of one mounting hole in the headboard bracket assembly to the center of the other.
  8. If you need to adjust the headboard brackets, unscrew the bolts holding the outer headboard brackets, move them the necessary distance, reinstall the bolts, and securely tighten.

STEP 11: Place your mattress on the adjustable bed frame surface. Your adjustable bed and headboard installation is now complete. If the bed comes with a programming option, turn to the Wireless Hand Control Operation Guide (page 8) to proceed.

Velcro Leg Straps (Optional: To avoid Base Separation) To help prevent separation when using King Size (2 TXL), California King Size (2 SCK), or Split Queen Size (2 SQ) beds, please use the enclosed Velcro Straps. Simply wrap the legs together (Front & Back) tightly using the straps. Fastening the straps will help prevent movement and maintain stability.

Wireless Emergency Power Down Feature

Your adjustable base is equipped with an emergency lowering feature. Follow these steps in the event of a power outage while the base is raised:

  1. Locate and remove the 9-volt battery cover.
  2. Install two (2) Alkaline 9-volt batteries (not included).
  3. Replace the battery cover.
  4. When the batteries are installed and there is a power failure, the LEARN button on the Power Supply can be used to move the bed to the flat position.

NOTE: The two (2) 9-volt batteries are rated for single use. After emergency lowering, replace with new alkaline batteries.

Wireless Hand Remote Operation

The remote control allows operation of various bed functions:

  • A. Raises the Head of the Bed
  • B. Lowers the Head of the Bed
  • C. Raises the Foot of the Bed
  • D. Lowers the Foot of the Bed
  • E. LED Signal Light: Indicates signal is being sent.
  • F. Bed "Flat" Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to return the bed to the flat position.
  • G. Pre-Programmed Memory Positions: Three function keys allow selection of popular positions with one touch.
  • H. Increases the Intensity of Vibration (Head)
  • I. Decreases the Intensity of Vibration (Head)
  • J. Increases the Intensity of Vibration (Foot)
  • K. Decreases the Intensity of Vibration (Foot)
  • L. Stops Massage
  • M. Full Body Massage: Activates both head and foot massages simultaneously.
  • N. Turns on Massage Wave 1, 2, or 3
  • O. Under Bed Light: Press the button on the back of the Hand Remote to turn on or off.
  • P. Increases Lumbar Support
  • Q. Decreases Lumbar Support

Head and Foot Position Adjustments (A, B, C, D): Use to raise or lower the head and foot sections. The "Wall-Glide" feature automatically synchronizes with these adjustments.

REMOTE FEATURES: The system uses RF (Radio Frequency). Buttons are backlit for visibility in low light. The remote signal is best transmitted within 9 feet (3 meters) of the receiver; it is not necessary to face the receiver.

SAFETY:

  • Weight overload on head/foot mechanism stops all functions; resumes 30 seconds after excess weight is removed.
  • Massage motors shut off automatically after 15 minutes of continuous use. Functions are operational again after 5 minutes.

Wireless Hand Remote Programming

Note: Programming is only needed for replacement remotes.

For 1 Hand Control and 1 Bed:

  1. Insert batteries (2xAA) into the Hand remote control.
  2. Ensure your adjustable bed is plugged into a working grounded outlet or surge protector.
  3. Press and hold the LEARN button on the Power Supply Box for 3 seconds until the LED signal light illuminates.
  4. Press and hold any Function button on the Hand Remote until the LED signal light flashes on the Power Supply Box.
  5. When the receiver light flashes, the RF frequency code learning process is complete.

For 1 Hand Control and 2 Beds:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 5 above for the first bed.
  2. Repeat the steps for the other bed using the same hand control.

Bluetooth Sound System Speaker Activation

Congratulations on experiencing the latest advancement in Adjustable Bed technology. The NEW Bluetooth Sound System offers an advanced bedroom enhancement for sleep and relaxation.

Synchronize your Bluetooth Device with the Sound Speaker System for "Surround-Sound" acoustics. Play music, enhance gaming, set alarm clocks, or enjoy spa-like relaxation with nature sounds from various apps. The audio possibilities are endless.

Follow the instructions below to Activate the Bluetooth Sound System:

  1. Upon plugging the base into a working electrical outlet, an audible chime tone will sound, indicating the Bluetooth Speaker System is powered on.
  2. On your device, navigate to the "SETTINGS" application menu.
  3. Scroll and click on the "BLUETOOTH" menu item.
  4. You will see listings of all local Bluetooth signals and devices.
  5. Click on the listing that says: "BTSpeaker" to pair your device with the sound system.

NOTE: When successfully paired, a verbal prompt stating: "Your Device is Connected." will be heard.

You can now access your music library or game applications for quality sound.

For Pairing TWO (2) Speakers on 2 TXL, SQ Models:

When pairing two speakers for King, Split Queen, or California King beds, add these steps:

  1. Find the double male audio patch cord in your accessory box.
  2. Attach each end of the patch cord to each speaker.
  3. When connecting to Bluetooth, you will see TWO "BTSpeaker" listings appear.
  4. Select EITHER "BTSpeaker" option. This will successfully pair both speakers for your sound system.

Troubleshooting

In the event the adjustable bed fails to operate, investigate the symptoms and possible solutions:

SYMPTOM: Hand Remote LED illuminates and appears Normal, but will not operate bed.

SOLUTION:

  1. Is the power cord plugged into a working & grounded electrical outlet? (A grounded, electrical surge protection device is recommended, not supplied).
  2. Test the outlet by plugging in an appliance you know works properly.

SYMPTOM: None of the Functions on the Adjustable Bed will Operate.

SOLUTION:

  1. Re-Program the hand control (refer to the manual for programming procedures).
  2. Unplug the power cord. After 45 seconds, plug it back into the electrical outlet. This should reset the electronic components.
  3. Check if the Home Electrical circuit breaker has tripped and reset it if necessary.
  4. Check surge protection device or electrical outlet to ensure it is working. Test the outlet by plugging in a known working appliance.

SYMPTOM: Hand Remote Function Keys will not illuminate.

SOLUTION:

  1. Replace batteries in the hand remote.
  2. Check that batteries are installed properly.

SYMPTOM: Head or foot section Function Key will elevate bed, but will not return to the horizontal (Flat) position.

SOLUTION:

  1. Your Bed may be obstructed, preventing smooth operation. Remove obstructions from around and under the bed.
  2. Check that the Head section has clearance from the headboard or wall.
  3. The headboard may be too close to the edge of the mattress. Verify a 1.5" (38.1mm) to 2" (50.8mm) distance between headboard brackets and mattress. Adjust if required.

SYMPTOM: Activating Head or Foot Lift Function causes "pulsing" or "stuttering" when operating feature.

SOLUTION:

  1. Check batteries and installation in the Hand Remote.
  2. Assure that the Function Key is pressed Directly & Firmly.
  3. Radio Frequency Interference from other remotes or electronic devices may be affecting normal operation.

SYMPTOM: Massage Motors seem excessively loud during operation.

SOLUTION:

  1. Hard surface flooring may cause added vibration. To correct, place carpet pieces or rubber Furniture Cups under each leg or caster of the bed.
  2. Elevate the head or foot section a short distance (using the hand control) to realign the lift/lower mechanisms with the bed support platform.
  3. Check that the bed is not in direct contact with a wall, nightstand, or other object that may cause vibration or noise.
  4. If the Adjustable Bed is installed on top of a bed frame, check that the massage motors are not causing the bed frame (or its components) to vibrate or rattle.
  5. Check that the headboard attachment hardware is tightened firmly (if used).

Warranty

20-Year Premium Limited Warranty for Adjustable Beds

CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® warrants this adjustable bed to the original purchaser. The warranty begins on the "warranty commencement date" (purchase date for new beds, or manufacturing date for used/display models). Proof of purchase is required; otherwise, the manufacturing date will be used.

The 20-Year Limited Warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

FULL 3-YEAR WARRANTY (Parts)

This adjustable bed is warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for three years from the warranty commencement date.

YEAR 1: Full Coverage of Parts & Labor

CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® will supply replacement parts at no cost for defective or malfunctioning parts. CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® must authorize the defect before replacement. Costs for pre-authorized labor and transportation associated with repair/replacement are absorbed by CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ®. Defective parts must be returned within 15 days of receiving replacement parts.

YEARS 2 And 3: Full Coverage of Parts Only

CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® will provide replacement parts for defective or malfunctioning parts. The original purchaser is responsible for all service, transportation, labor, and shipping & handling costs. Defective parts must be returned within 15 days of receiving replacement parts.

YEARS 4 Through 20: Prorated Coverage of Non-Electrical Parts Only

CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® will issue replacements for mechanical parts found defective or malfunctioning. This excludes electronics, electrical components, and massage motors. The purchaser will pay 1/17th of the current replacement cost of the part multiplied by the number of years past the third year from the warranty commencement date. CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® covers the remaining cost. Defective parts must be returned within 15 days of receiving replacement parts. Purchaser is responsible for labor and transportation costs up to twenty (20) years. After the twentieth year, the purchaser is responsible for the entire cost of repair and replacement.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This warranty is void if:

  • Damage is caused by the purchaser.
  • Unauthorized repair or replacement of parts has occurred.
  • The bed has been handled incorrectly, subjected to abuse or misuse, or operated contrary to the guidelines in the Owner's Manual.
  • Damage to mattresses, fabric, cables, electrical cords, or items supplied by dealers.
  • Unnecessary service calls have been made, including calls solely for consumer education or power connection issues.
  • Recommended weight restrictions (Twin/TXL/Split QN/Split CA King: 575 lbs, Full/FXL: 600 lbs, Queen: 650 lbs) and weight distribution guidelines are not followed.

Repairs or replacements do not extend the original warranty period. The decision for repair or replacement is at the sole discretion of CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ®. Repair or replacement of parts is the sole remedy. CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® disclaims liability for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

No reimbursement will be made for inconvenience, removal, installation, setup time, lack of use, shipping, or other costs not covered. CUSTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDZ® is not responsible for in-home service; contact your dealer for such terms.

No other warranty, express or implied, is made. Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.

State laws may grant additional rights. This warranty is valid in the contiguous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
