Appliance Overview
The ceramic heating appliance is designed for creating and distributing warm air, e.g., for indoor spaces. The appliance generates heat via a ceramic heating element. The air around the ceramic heating element is heated. The heated air is blown into the room by a fan. The appliance features an integrated thermostat for a constant warm air flow. Fan operation without heating is also possible. The TDS 50 M model also has a fan run-on function after the appliance is switched off.
Appliance Components (Diagram Description)
The appliance features the following components:
- 1. Transport Handle
- 2. Air Outlet
- 3. Room Thermostat Rotary Switch
- 4. Selector Switch for Ventilation and Heating Levels (0: OFF, ⚡: Cold Air / Ventilation, 1: Heating Level 1, 2: Heating Level 2)
- 5. Operating Lamp
- 6. Air Inlet
Safety During Operation
⚠️ Warning: Do not cover the appliance to prevent overheating and fire hazard!
Emergency Procedure
- Switch off the appliance.
- In case of emergency, disconnect the appliance from the mains: Remove the mains plug from the socket by gripping the plug.
- Do not reconnect a defective appliance to the mains.
Overheating Protection
The appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat that activates upon overheating (exceeding the operating temperature). When the safety thermostat engages, heating is switched off, but the fan continues to run. Heating will resume once the appliance has cooled sufficiently. Investigate the cause of overheating. If the safety thermostat fails to switch off during overheating, an overheating protection will activate, completely shutting down the appliance. In this case, contact customer service to have the overheating protection replaced.
Transport and Storage
Transport
Before any transport, follow these instructions:
- Switch off the appliance.
- Unplug the mains cord from the socket by gripping the plug.
- Do not use the power cord as a pulling rope.
- Allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently.
Storage
Before any storage, follow these instructions:
- Unplug the mains cord from the socket by gripping the plug.
- Allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently.
When the appliance is not in use, observe the following storage conditions:
- Store in a dry place, protected from moisture and heat.
- Store upright in a position protected from dust and direct sunlight.
- Optionally, protect with a cover against dust ingress.
- Do not place other appliances or objects on the appliance to prevent damage.

Recycling
The symbol of a crossed-out waste bin on electrical or electronic equipment indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its service life. Collection points for old electrical and electronic equipment are available in your area for free returns. You can find addresses from your municipality. You can find information about further return options offered by us on our website: https://de.trotec.com/shop/.
Separate collection of old electrical and electronic equipment enables recycling, material reuse, and other forms of reuse of old appliances. It also prevents negative consequences for the environment and human health from hazardous substances potentially contained in the appliances during recycling.
