VIVOSUN Automatic Chicken Coop Door

INTERFACE

The interface displays the status and modes of the Automatic Chicken Coop Door.

LED 1 & LED 2: Mode Indicators

• Red timer: Indicates timer mode is active.
• Green light sense: Indicates light sensor mode is active.

LED 3: Status Indicator

• Red light flashes when charging
• Light turns off when full

Control buttons:

• [Open Button]: Used for opening the door manually and in anti-pinch functions.
• [Close Button]: Used for closing the door manually and in anti-pinch functions.
• [Mode Button]: Used for switching between light sensor and timer modes.

OPERATION

Power Switch:

• Press the [Open Button] and [Close Button] simultaneously for 3 seconds to turn the unit ON or OFF.

Manual Door Operation:

• Press the [Open Button] once to open the door.

• Press the [Close Button] once to close the door.

Note: Light sensor and timer functions cannot be used simultaneously.

Light Sensor Mode

This mode automatically opens the door with daylight and closes it at dusk.

• To switch to door opening mode (daylight opening): Press and hold the [Mode Button] for 3 seconds. The green light will be on. The door will open in sensor mode every day. (Green light flashes every 5 seconds in light sensor mode).
• To switch to door closing mode (dusk closing): Press and hold the [Mode Button] for 3 seconds. The green light will be on. The door will close in sensor mode every day. (Green light flashes every 5 seconds in light sensor mode).

The system uses a 3-second delay to distinguish between day and night, preventing false triggering of the light sensor.

Timer Mode

This mode allows you to set specific times for the door to open and close.

• To switch to door opening mode (set opening time): Press and hold the [Mode Button] for 3 seconds. The red light will be on, and the door will open during the set time period. (Red light flashes every 5 seconds in timer mode).
• To switch to door closing mode (set closing time): Press and hold the [Mode Button] for 3 seconds. The red light will be on, and the door will close during the set time period. (Red light flashes every 5 seconds in timer mode).

Anti-Pinch Mode

This safety feature prevents the door from closing on a chicken.

• To activate anti-pinch with no rebound: Press the [Open Button] and [Close Button] simultaneously and briefly. LED 3 green light will turn on and flash once. The door will close to prevent pinching without rebounding.
• To activate anti-pinch with rebound: Press the [Open Button] and [Close Button] simultaneously and briefly. LED 3 green light will turn on and flash 3 times. The door will close to prevent pinching with rebound.

Anti-Pinch Scenario:

• If a chicken is accidentally caught while the door is closing, the door will recoil for 3 seconds, then pause for 4 seconds, and then close again after the frightened chick runs away. If the chicken still does not leave when the door is closed, the door will stop moving. In this situation, you will have to close the door manually.
• The door will also operate this way once when closing normally.

Day/Night Transition Delay:

• To avoid false triggering of the light sensor, a 3-second delay is used to switch between day and night.
