Introduction
The Solis S6-EH1P(3-8)K-L-PRO series inverters are engineered for residential hybrid systems. These inverters facilitate the use of low-voltage lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries, optimizing self-consumption and ensuring backup power during grid outages or insufficient PV generation.
The series includes models such as 3kW, 3.6kW, 5kW, 6kW, and 8kW. The 8K model differs in hardware and size from the 3-6K models, featuring 3 max. input strings compared to the 3-6K models' 2.

Key Features
- Highly Flexible: Features 2 MPPTs with 2(3-6K)/3(8K) strings, suitable for rooftop installations with diverse array orientations. Compatible with various battery brands. Includes integrated AFCI for PV array arc fault detection and LED indicators with Bluetooth for local operation.
- Outstanding Performance: Supports high MPPT current input (16A for 3-6K, 32A for 8K) for 182/210mm solar panels. Offers a 1.6 DC:AC ratio for increased PV capacity and up to 8kW backup load support. Features UPS-level switching time (<4ms) for critical loads and high PV charge efficiency. Supports generator connection.
- Intelligent Function: Allows parallel operation of up to 6 units for small to medium commercial energy storage systems. Controllable and upgradable via the SolisCloud APP. Integrates AC coupling with PV grid-connected inverters. Supports customized charge/discharge times and various operating modes (use/feed-in priority, peak-shaving, off-grid). Includes a battery saving mode for reduced night-time consumption.
- Safe & Reliable: Equipped with integrated AFCI for safety. Operations should be performed by licensed electricians. Personal protective equipment is recommended during installation. The AC Backup Port should not be connected to the grid. Always refer to the battery product manual before installation and configuration.
Important Notes & Safety
Important Notes: Product specifications are subject to change. Solis is not liable for damages resulting from failure to comply with installation instructions or from modifications made by the customer. Ensure adequate space, ventilation, and adherence to environmental conditions (temperature, humidity).
Safety Warnings:
- DANGER: Indicates a hazardous situation that will result in death or serious injury if not avoided.
- WARNING: Indicates a hazardous situation that could result in death or serious injury if not avoided.
- CAUTION: Indicates a hazardous situation that could result in minor or moderate injury if not avoided.
- NOTE: Provides tips for optimal product operation.
- Risk of fire: Do not install near flammable materials or in potentially explosive atmospheres. Ensure the mounting structure is fireproof.
- Electrical installations must comply with local and national safety standards.
- Wait 5 minutes after disconnection from the grid, PV array, and battery before touching internal parts.
- Only use devices compliant with SELV (EN 69050) for RS485 and USB interfaces.
- Do not connect PV array positive or negative to ground.
- Inverter surface temperature can reach 75°C (167°F); avoid touching the hot surface.
- PV modules must have an IEC 61730 Class A rating.
- Operations must be performed by a licensed electrician or authorized personnel.
- Wear personal protective equipment during installation.
- The AC Backup Port cannot be connected to the grid.
- Refer to the battery manual before installation and configuration.
Installation Considerations
- Location: Avoid direct sunlight to prevent derating. Ideal location has ambient temperatures not exceeding 40°C (140°F) and is protected from rain and snow, preferably on a north-facing wall under an eave.
- Clearances: Maintain a 12-inch clearance between inverters and other equipment. The bottom of the inverter should be at least 20 inches from the ground. Ensure LED indicators are not blocked and adequate ventilation is provided, especially in confined spaces.
- Load Bearing: The mounting surface must be non-flammable and capable of supporting at least 4 times the inverter's weight.
- Angle of Installation: The inverter must be mounted vertically, with a maximum deviation of 15 degrees backward from vertical.
Disposal
This product should not be disposed of with household waste. It must be segregated and brought to an appropriate disposal facility for proper recycling to avoid negative impacts on the environment and human health. Local waste management rules must be observed.
