JBL Wave Beam Quick Start Guide and User Manual

What's in the Box

The box contains the JBL Wave Beam earbuds, a charging case with the JBL logo, three sizes of silicone ear tips (S, M, L), and a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable.

How to Wear

To ensure a perfect fit and optimal audio performance, try different sizes of ear tips. Insert the earbuds into your ears, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit.

First Time Use

1. Remove the earbuds from the charging case. 2. Remove any protective films from the earbuds.

Power On & Connect

1. Open the charging case to power on the earbuds. 2. On your device (e.g., smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings. Ensure Bluetooth is ON. 3. Select 'JBL WAVE BEAM' from the list of available devices to pair. For Android 6.0+, the device may be tied to your Google Account for easier pairing (Fast Pair).

Dual Connect

Use both earbuds for Stereo Mode for immersive sound, or use a single earbud for Mono Mode.

Controls

Left Earbud: Single tap for volume up, double tap for play/pause, triple tap for next track, hold for voice assistant. Right Earbud: Single tap for volume down, double tap for play/pause, triple tap for previous track, hold for voice assistant. Advanced controls are available via the JBL Headphones App.

VoiceAware

VoiceAware allows you to control how much of your own voice you hear during calls. Adjust the level via the JBL Headphones App.

Power Off

Place both earbuds back into the charging case to power them off.

Manual Setup

To connect to a new Bluetooth device, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and select 'JBL WAVE BEAM'. To perform a factory reset, place earbuds in the case, keep the case open, and press and hold the button on the back of the case for 5 seconds until the LEDs flash.

Do More With The App

The JBL Headphones app offers enhanced control over your earbuds, including customizing gestures, adjusting EQ settings, and managing Ambient Sound Control (Ambient Aware and TalkThru).

Charging

Place the earbuds in the charging case. Connect the USB charging cable to the case. A 10-minute charge provides approximately 2 hours of playback. A full charge takes less than 2 hours.

LED Behaviors

White LED: Charging (pulsing) or Fully Charged (solid).

Blue LED: Bluetooth connecting (pulsing), Bluetooth connected (solid), or Bluetooth not connected (flashing).

Battery Level (Red/Orange/Green): Red indicates low battery, Orange indicates medium, and Green indicates high battery. Charging indicator (Red-Orange-Green) shows charging progress.
