Smart Life App Pairing and Device Control Instructions

Before You Start

• Set your phone/tablet to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network. ?
• Ensure the Smart Life app and the fixture are within the same Wi-Fi network range.
• Make sure the Smart Life app has Wi-Fi network location access permission.
• Check that the phone/tablet has a strong signal.

NOTE: When pairing multiple products controlled by one light switch, each product will need to be paired separately. Once a product is paired, it will need to be disconnected from power before pairing additional products. Similarly, when adding more than one product, all paired products will need to be disconnected from power before more are paired. Disconnecting paired products from power will not cause them to lose their pairing.

App Download

Download the Smart Life app from the App Store® or the Play Store®.

Account Setup

1. Open the app and tap Sign Up.
2. Register: Fill in the region and email address. Tap Next.
3. You will receive an email with a verification code. Enter the verification code in the space provided.
4. Create a password on the next screen.

Add a Device

1. After logging in, go to the Home tab. Click ADD DEVICES or ➕ on the top right corner.
2. Select the Lighting Devices tab. Then select Light Source (Wi-Fi).
3. Select your Wi-Fi Network and enter your password.
4. Your lighting fixture should blink rapidly. If it is not blinking, please follow these steps:
   1. Turn the power on, and let the lighting fixture run for 10 seconds or longer.
   2. Turn power on and off 5 times with the frequency of 1 second on and 1 second off to put the light into pairing mode: OFF ➡️ ON ➡️ OFF ➡️ ON ➡️ OFF ➡️ ON (wait).
5. Once the light blinks, tap "Confirm the light is blinking rapidly". Then click Next.
6. If desired, click on the light, then the pencil icon ✏️, then the light again, then on the name, to edit the default name.

Controlling Your Device

In the Device Control Interface

1. Tap the desired device's name to access the device control interface.
2. Tap the bulb icon ? to switch the fixture on and off.
3. To dim the fixture (control the brightness), move the Bright slider left or right.

Schedule Devices

1. In the Device Control Interface, tap the Schedule clock icon ⏰ to enter the scheduler interface and tap Add Schedule.
2. Set the time.
3. Tap Repeat if you want to program multiple days for the same scheduled time.
4. Tap Switch to select to turn on or turn off the device.
5. Tap Save on the top right corner.

Group Devices

NOTE: You must have more than one Designers Fountain device to create a group.

1. In the Device Control Interface, tap the Pencil Icon ✏️.
2. Select Create Group.
3. Select the devices to group together and tap Save.
4. Enter a Group Name.
5. Tap Confirm. Now you can control your devices as a group.

Share Devices

1. In the Device Control Interface, tap the Pencil Icon ✏️.
2. In the Others section, tap Share Device and tap Add Sharing.
3. Enter the amount of people you will be sharing with in "Share with Others".
4. Tap Message, Email, or Copy to send them a link to your device. You can view and edit your share list in Profile.

Create a Scene

1. Tap the Scene icon in the bottom center of the screen.
2. Tap the Create Scene button.
3. Tap a desired condition and make your selection.
4. Select a desired task for the device, such as switch on/off.
5. Tap Save to create the Scene. You can also edit a scene that was previously created.
