1. Printer Overview
This section provides a visual guide to the printer's main components and connections.
- Power off button: Located on the printer.
- Power on button: Located on the printer.
- USB port: For connecting the printer to a computer.
- Power port: For connecting the power adapter.
- Label exit: Where printed labels emerge.
- Feed button: Used for advancing labels.
- Cover open lever: For opening the printer cover to load labels.
2. Label Setup
Proper label loading is crucial for automatic label identification.
Automatic label identification:
- Load no less than 6 consecutive labels of paper into the printer. Ensure the labels are properly aligned.
- After the paper is stable, press and hold the FEED button until the blue light flashes 2 times.
- The printer will then automatically identify the label type and size.
3. Driver Installation
The printer driver can be installed from the provided USB disk. For the latest driver, it is recommended to search the brand's official website.
After downloading the driver, run it from the download center on the official website and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
3.1 Mac Driver Installation
For macOS users, follow these steps to install the driver:
- Run the installer. A "Label Printer" installation wizard will guide you.
- The installation progress will be displayed.
- Upon successful completion, a message "The installation was successful." will appear. Click "Close" to exit the wizard.
After installation, you can proceed to print a test page.
3.2 Windows Driver Installation
For Windows users, follow these steps to install the driver:
- Run the "Label Printer Driver Setup_Release_vX.X.X Setup Wizard".
- The wizard will guide you through the installation process.
- Upon completion, a message "Setup has finished installing Label Printer Driver..." will appear. Click "Finish" to exit the setup. You may also choose to "Open the control panel".
After installation, you can proceed to print a test page.
4. Print a Sample Label
This section guides you through printing a sample label to verify the printer's functionality.
Print a sample label: Open a desired file (e.g., a PDF) through a document viewer like Preview (macOS) or Adobe Acrobat (Windows).
Example: Right-click on "Labels-Sample.pdf" and choose "Open With" > "Preview" (macOS) or "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" (Windows).
Click "File" and choose "Print". Select "Show Details" if available to access more print options.
For macOS: In the print dialog, ensure "Printer: Label Printer" is selected. The preview will show the label layout, for example, a "PRIORITY MAIL 2-DAY™" label with sender and recipient addresses.
Choose a paper size from "Paper Size".
For macOS: In the print dialog, under "Presets: Last Used Settings", set "Copies: 1". For "Pages", select "All" or specify a range (e.g., "From: 1 to: 1"). Set "Paper Size: 4.00x6.00" (4.00 by 6.00 inches).
For Windows: In the print dialog, select "Printer: Label Printer". Ensure "Microsoft Print to PDF" or similar virtual printers are not selected. The preview will show the label layout, for example, a "PRIORITY MAIL 2-DAY™" label with sender and recipient addresses, and a USPS Tracking #.
After setup, click "Print".
For macOS: In the "Printer Features" section, under "Feature Sets: Printer Settings", you can adjust "Media Tracking: Gap", "Gap or Mark Offset: 0mm", "Gap or Mark Height: 3mm", "Darkness: 8", "Print Speed: 5", and "ColorOption: None". Click "Print" to send the job to the printer.
For Windows: After previewing the print size (e.g., "Scale: 100%", "4 x 6 Inches"), click "Print" to send the job to the printer.
