1. Parts and Components

The Proscenic LDS M7 robot vacuum cleaner consists of several key parts:

Main Body and Sensors

The main body of the robot features the following components:

  • 1. Cover
  • 2. Back home button (also functions as Home)
  • 3. Power button / Automatic cleaning button

Light Indicator Status:

  • Steady blue light: Operating
  • Yellow light blinks slowly: Recharging / Low power
  • Yellow light flashes: Charging
  • Blue light blinks slowly: Network configuration
  • Blue light flashes: Start-up / Firmware update
  • Red light flashes quickly: Error

Main Body and Sensors (Detailed View):

  • 1. Laser radar: For navigation and mapping.
  • 2. Surface cover: The top panel of the robot.
  • 3. Button: The primary control button on the robot.
  • 4. Infrared sensor: For obstacle detection.
  • 5. Collision sensor: Detects physical contact with objects.
  • 6. Omnidirectional wheel: For maneuverability.
  • 7. Charging terminals: Connects to the charging base.
  • 8. Battery: Powers the robot.
  • 9. Side brush: Sweeps debris towards the main brush.
  • 10. Free-fall sensor: Prevents the robot from falling down stairs.
  • 11. Main brush cover: Protects the main brush.
  • 12. Main brush: Agitates and collects dirt from the floor.

Water Tank Components

The water tank assembly includes:

  • 1. Water inlet: For filling the tank with water.
  • 2. Water tank: Holds water for the mopping function.
  • 3. Water tank release button: To detach the water tank.
  • 4. Mop bracelet release button: To attach/detach the mop.
  • 5. Velcro: For securing the mop cloth.
  • 6. Mop bracelet: Holds the mop cloth.
  • 7. Mop: The cloth used for mopping.

2. Safety Instructions

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • This product must be used in accordance with the directions in this instruction manual. Proscenic cannot be held liable or responsible for any damages or injuries caused by improper use.
  • Ensure the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • This product can only be disassembled by qualified personnel.
  • Do not touch wires, power supplies, or power adapters with wet hands.
  • Keep the robot away from clothing, curtains, and any other similar materials.
  • Do not sit or place heavy or sharp objects on top of the appliance.
  • Do not operate the appliance close to heat sources, flammable substances, wet surfaces where it can fall, or push it into water or allow it to come into contact with water or other liquids. Do not operate outdoors.
  • Do not use the charging base if it has a damaged cord or plug or if it is not operating properly. In case of fault or malfunction, contact the official Technical Support Service of Proscenic.
  • Do not operate the device on tables, chairs, or other high surfaces where it could fall.
  • Do not use the laser protection as a handle to move the robot.
  • Do not operate the product in places where the temperature is below 0 °C or above 40 °C.
  • The appliance can only be operated with the provided battery and power adapter. The use of other components or accessories could cause risk of fire, electric shock, or product damage.
  • Do not use the device to vacuum flammable or burning objects such as cigarettes, matches, or ash.
  • Children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision, can use this appliance. This appliance can also be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way.

3. Before Use

Proper setup is crucial before operating the robot.

Charging Base Setup

  1. Place the charging base against the wall, ensuring the indicated safety distances (0.5m from side walls and 0.5m from front obstacles). Connect it to a power supply. Warning: Do not expose the charging base to direct sunlight.
  2. Wind the remaining cable onto the charging base's bottom part.
  3. Press the [power button] on the robot for 3 seconds. When the light indicator remains steady, place the robot on the charging base.

Note: Take the robot to the charging base if the battery is low. The robot might not turn on if the battery is very low. The robot cannot be turned off during charging.

Water Tank Installation (for Mopping)

Note: It is not suggested to use the mopping function for the first-time use.

  1. Open the water tank's rubber lid, fill it up with water, and close it again.
  2. Install the water tank into the robot in the indicated direction, confirming that the clip is properly installed. Tips: Add some cleaning agent if considered necessary.
  3. Attach the mopping cloth to the bottom part of the mop bracelet and push it into its correct position until you hear a click indicating it is properly fixed. Note: Remove the water tank when the robot is charging or not in use.

Warnings:

  • The excess of cleaning agents might cause filter damage.
  • In order to achieve perfect mopping, it is suggested to moisten the mop before using it.
  • If carpets are used in the house, please set virtual walls in the App.

4. Operation

Once the robot is set up, it is ready for operation.

  • Once the robot's light indicator changes from blinking yellow to steady blue, the battery is fully charged and the robot is ready to operate.
  • Once the App is installed, the robot can be operated directly from the mobile phone.
  • The robot cannot operate with low battery.
  • Remove all cables and obstacles from the floor before operating the robot in order to avoid accidents and damage.

4.1 Robot Buttons

The robot has a primary button on its top surface:

  • 1. AUTO mode: Press the [power button] on the robot to start cleaning automatically in a zig-zag pattern, recognizing cleaned and uncleaned areas. The robot plans its cleaning route automatically. If manually directed during auto mode, it may re-plan the route and repeat areas. For efficient cleaning, avoid manual operation during auto mode. If the battery is low, the robot will return to the charging base, and resume cleaning after charging. During cleaning, the robot may briefly stop to evaluate the area and plan its route. Note: Auto mode is suggested for cleaning carpets.
  • 2. Back-home mode: Press the [home button] on the robot to send it back to the charging base. This mode can be activated during any cleaning cycle. The robot uses its map memorization and smart back-home function to find the shortest route. When a cleaning cycle is completed or the battery is low, the robot will also return to the charging base to avoid running out of battery.

Warnings:

  • Remove the water tank during charging.
  • If there are obstacles blocking the path, the robot might not be able to reach the charging base. In such cases, manually place the robot on the charging base.

4.2 Remote Control

The robot can be controlled using the included remote control:

  • 1. Back home: Returns the robot to the charging base.
  • 2. Manual control: Allows direct steering of the robot.
  • 3. On/Pause: Starts or pauses the cleaning process.
  • 4. Power levels (Turbo/Normal/Eco): Adjusts suction power.
  • 5. Edge mode: Cleans along walls and furniture.
  • 6. Mopping mode: Activates the mopping function.
  • 7. Find your robot: Locates the robot with a voice prompt.

Edge Mode: Press the [edge mode button] on the remote control to start cleaning along walls and around furniture.

Suction Power Levels: Press the [power level button] on the remote control to select desired power: Eco (low), Normal (medium), or Turbo (maximum).

Mopping Mode: Press the [mopping mode button] on the remote control to start mopping. Ensure the water tank and mop bracelet are properly installed.

Pause: While the robot is operating, press the [pause button] on the App, remote control, or robot to pause it. Press again to resume cleaning.

Sleeping: The robot enters sleeping mode after 5 minutes of no operation. Press the [power button] on the App, remote control, or robot to wake it up.

Warning: After 12 hours of no operation, the robot will automatically turn off. The robot will not enter sleeping mode during charging.

4.3 App Control

Download the Proscenic Home App for comprehensive control:

  • App advantages: Control your robot easily, activate cleaning from anywhere, set schedules, choose cleaning modes, view the cleaning map, set restricted areas (virtual walls), order spot cleaning, and check cleaning history.
  • Configuration: Download the Proscenic Home App from the App Store or Google Play, create an account, add your robot, and connect to Wi-Fi.

Additional App Functions:

  • Do Not Disturb (DND) mode: The robot will not respond to cleaning commands or voice prompts during the DND period (default 22:00-07:00).
  • User-defined area: Define specific areas for the robot to clean.
  • Clean designated area: Set a target position on the map for the robot to clean a 2x2 square area.
  • Scheduled cleaning: Schedule cleaning times for automatic operation.
  • Virtual walls: Set virtual boundaries to prevent the robot from entering certain areas.
  • Map memorization: The robot saves the map and virtual walls after cleaning and recharging.

Note on App Unbinding: Press and hold the Recharge Button for 5 seconds, release, then press again for 5 seconds to initiate initialization.

Warning: The App does not support 5G networks. Wi-Fi name and password cannot exceed 32 characters. If network configuration fails, check Wi-Fi signal strength, password accuracy, and ensure you are using a 2.4GHz network.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance.

Main Brush

  1. Press the main brush's release button and remove the cover.
  2. Take the main brush out and clean the compartment.
  3. Clean the main brush with the provided tools, using water and soap if necessary.
  4. Place the main brush back in its position and secure it properly.

Dust Tank

  1. Remove the robot's cover and take out the dust tank.
  2. Take out the HEPA filter's cover and empty the dust.
  3. Use the cleaning brush to clean the dustbin and put back the HEPA component.
  4. Place the dust tank back into the robot, fold the handle down, and put the cover back.

HEPA Filter

Remove the HEPA filter and shake it to remove all dust. Note: Clean the filter periodically with a brush. Do not wash the filter with water.

Side Brush

Remove and clean the side brushes regularly. It is suggested to replace the side brushes every 3 months for optimal cleaning performance.

6. Battery Replacement and Charging

  • Do not use any battery, power adapter, or charging base other than the ones provided.
  • Do not dismantle or repair the battery or the charging base.
  • Do not use a wet cloth to wipe any parts of this product.
  • If the robot is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery and store it in a dry, safe place. It is suggested to charge the battery every month to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting

Refer to the following table for common issues and solutions:

Abnormality 2: Free-fall sensor issue.Wipe the free-fall sensor and move the robot to a new position for restart. Consult the Instruction Manual for sensor position.
Abnormality 3: Intense magnetic field detected.Move the robot to a new position and retry.
Abnormality 4: Foreign objects on collision sensor.Press the collision strip, clear foreign objects, and restart.
Abnormality 5: Robot temperature abnormal.The robot temperature is too high or too low. Wait until the temperature becomes normal before reuse.
Abnormality 6: Charging abnormal.Check if the power adapter is the original one. Ensure the charging dock is placed horizontally. Turn off the robot, cut off power to the charging dock, and wipe the metal contacts.

Common Problems

The robot does not work properly.Turn the robot off, switch it off, and turn it on again.
The robot emits a strange noise during cleaning.The main brush, side brush, or omnidirectional wheel may have foreign matters tangled; stop the robot and clear them.
The robot does not clean efficiently or dust leaks.The dust tank is full; empty it and clear the HEPA filter. The main brush may be tangled with foreign matter; clear it.
The robot could not connect to Wi-Fi.Check if the Wi-Fi signal is poor or unstable. Reset the router, check for App updates, and try again. Ensure the network is 2.4GHz.
The robot did not carry out scheduled cleaning.Check if the robot is in Night mode, which disables scheduled cleaning.
The robot does not return to the charging base after spot cleaning or changing starting position.The robot will map and calculate a new route. If the charging base is too far, manually place the robot on the charging base.

9. Disposal of Old Electrical Appliances

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately to optimize recovery and recycling of materials, reducing impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed-out [wheeled bin] symbol ?️ on the product indicates the obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

10. Technical Support Service and Warranty

This product is under warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase, provided proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been used properly as explained in this manual. The warranty does not cover:

  • Product used for purposes other than intended, misuse, damage, exposure to moisture, immersion in liquid or corrosive substances, or faults attributable to the customer.
  • Product disassembled, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.
  • Faults deriving from normal wear and tear of parts due to use.

The warranty service covers manufacturing defects for 12 months, excluding consumable parts. In case of misuse, the warranty will not apply.

11. FCC Statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
