Safety Instructions

Read all safety instructions before using the Laurastar S Pure ironing system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

1. Content of the Box

The box contains the following items:

• Laurastar S Pure Ironing Board
• Steam Generator Unit
• Laurastar Iron
• Steam Hose
• Power Cord
• PURIFY Anti-Limescale Cartridge
• BEAUTIFY Accessory
• Protective Soleplate
• Hook for storing the protective soleplate

2. Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Laurastar S Pure:

1. Unfold the ironing board to its full extent.
2. Position the steam generator base securely on the ironing board.
3. Attach the iron rest to the side of the ironing board, ensuring it is firmly in place.
4. Open the water tank compartment on the steam generator.
5. Insert the PURIFY cartridge into its designated holder and close the holder.
6. Close the water tank compartment.
7. Detach the water tank.
8. Fill the water tank with water up to the MAX line.
9. Reattach the water tank securely; a "BIP" sound confirms it is locked.
10. Connect the power cord to the steam generator.

3. Switching On

1. Press the ON/OFF button on the steam generator to turn the unit on.
2. The system will begin heating up, which typically takes 3-6 minutes. Indicator lights will signal when ready.
3. Once heated, press the iron's steam button 4-5 times to prime the steam system.
4. The iron features an Auto Stop function that automatically turns it off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
5. Adjust the iron's temperature using the dial on the handle, selecting between MIN and MAX settings as needed.

4. Using the Fan

1. Activate the fan function via the control panel on the steam generator. The fan symbol ? will illuminate.
2. The fan can be set to operate in two modes: blowing air upwards to help dry clothes, or suction downwards to hold garments in place.

5. Using the Protective Soleplate

1. Attach the PROTECT protective soleplate to the iron by pressing it firmly onto the iron's soleplate.
2. Ensure the soleplate is securely fitted.
3. Use the protective soleplate when ironing delicate fabrics, typically for 4-5 seconds per section.

6. Refilling the Water Tank

1. Open the water tank compartment.
2. Detach the water tank from the steam generator.
3. Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the MAX line, preferably using a tap ?.
4. Reattach the water tank securely to the steam generator. A "BIP" sound indicates it is properly locked.

7. Draining

Perform draining as part of regular maintenance, typically monthly or as indicated.

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and has cooled down completely (wait at least 120 minutes after the last use).
2. Open the water tank compartment.
3. Detach the water tank and the collection tray.
4. Remove the filter housing.
5. Drain any remaining water from the steam generator into a sink ?.
6. Empty and rinse the collection tray.
7. Reassemble the unit by reinserting the filter housing, reattaching the water tank and collection tray.

8. Changing the Cartridge

Replace the PURIFY anti-limescale cartridge as needed.

1. Open the water tank compartment.
2. Remove the old PURIFY cartridge.
3. Dispose of the used cartridge properly.
4. Rinse the cartridge holder.
5. Prepare the new PURIFY cartridge.
6. Insert the new cartridge into the holder and press down until you hear a "Click".
7. Close the cartridge holder until it "Click"s into place.
8. Refill the water tank up to the MAX line.

9. Descaling

Regular descaling is crucial for maintaining performance. Follow these steps:

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and has cooled down completely (wait at least 120 minutes after the last use).
2. Unfold the ironing board.
3. Open the water tank compartment.
4. Detach the water tank and the collection tray.
5. Remove the filter housing.
6. Pour 500 ml of Laurastar descaling solution into the steam generator.
7. Add 500 ml of water to the steam generator.
8. Close the water tank compartment.
9. Wait for 30 minutes.
10. Open the compartment and detach the water tank.
11. Empty the collection tray.
12. Drain the steam generator into a sink ?.
13. Rinse the collection tray.
14. Rinse the steam generator by filling it with 600 ml of water, closing the compartment, and then draining it into a sink.
15. Repeat the rinsing process (steps 15-17) twice (2x) for thorough cleaning.

10. Maintenance

Perform regular maintenance to keep your Laurastar S Pure in optimal condition.

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and has cooled down completely (wait at least 120 minutes after the last use).
2. Place the iron on the ironing board.
3. Clean the iron's soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
4. Clean the PROTECT protective soleplate if it becomes soiled.
5. After maintenance, press the iron's steam button 4-5 times to ensure steam is flowing correctly.

11. Storage

Proper storage ensures the longevity of your ironing system.

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and has cooled down completely.
2. Fold the iron and place it securely on the iron rest.
3. Fold the ironing board.
4. Secure the folded ironing board.
5. Store the unit in a compact and upright position.

12. Accessories
