Product Overview
This document provides a quick start guide for the HYP SMARTCOM Bluetooth communication system, designed for motorcycle helmets. It covers essential functions such as powering on/off, pairing devices, handling calls, managing music, adjusting volume, and using the intercom feature.

- Boom microphone
- Speakers
- Micro USB charging port
- Plus button (+)
- Minus button (-)
The system utilizes Bluetooth 5.1 technology.
Basic Operations
Power On
To turn the device on:
3 seconds.
the power button forFeedback: Device will emit an audible alert ("Power on") and the LED will blink.
Power Off
To turn the device off:
3 seconds.
the power button forFeedback: Device will emit an audible alert ("Power off") and the LED will blink.
Volume Adjustment
While the device is active (during intercom, calls, or music playback):
- To increase volume: the Plus button (+).
- To decrease volume: the Minus button (-).
Feedback: Audible alerts indicate volume changes, and the LED may show activity.
Language Change
To change the device's voice prompt language:

Pairing Devices
Pairing with a Phone/GPS
When the device is off:
- 7 seconds. the power button for
- The LED will show an alternating blink and the device will announce "Pairing".
- On your phone or GPS, search for Bluetooth devices and select "SMARTCOM".
- If prompted, enter the PIN code 0000.
- The LED will blink 4 times, and the device will announce "Pairing successful" and "Device connected".
Pairing with Another SMARTCOM or Midland Device
When both devices are on:
- On both devices, 7 seconds. the power button for
- The LEDs on both devices will show an alternating blink and announce "Pairing".
- The LEDs on both devices will blink 3 times, and the device will announce "Pairing successful".
Pairing with a Different Brand/Model Device
When both devices are on:
- The LEDs on both devices will show an alternating blink and announce "Pairing".
- Follow the pairing procedure specific to the other device's phone/system.
- The LEDs on both devices will stop blinking once pairing is successful, and the device will announce "Pairing successful".
Reset Pairings
To clear all previously saved pairings:
9 seconds.

Call and Intercom Functions
Voice Call - Voice Assistant
To activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Google Assistant, Siri):

(Answering or Rejecting a Phone Call
When the phone rings:
- To answer: x1) on the power button. (
- To reject: 3 seconds. for
- To end the call: x1) on the power button. (
Auto-Answer Setting
To enable or disable the auto-answer feature (when the device is off):
9 seconds.

Music Playback
When the device is on and connected to the phone:
Select your music app on your phone.
