Introduction
Your new Pyle PTA4 Stereo Power Amplifier provides the power and versatility needed for a professional sound system. Its wide frequency response makes it suitable for amplifying music or vocal program material. The front-located 3.5mm jack allows for convenient connection of various MP3 devices, and the MIC PAGER/MIXING function offers flexibility for paging or musical events. It is ideal for meeting halls, homes, restaurants, schools, stores, live bands, or offices.
Important Safety Instructions

Features and Controls
The PTA4 Stereo Power Amplifier offers features and controls designed for versatile audio amplification:
- 1. Blue LED Output Level Display: Visually indicates the output level.
- 2. Power On/Off and LED Indicator: Main power switch; the indicator light illuminates when the amplifier is turned on.
- 3. CD/MP3 3.5mm AUX Input Jack (FRONT): Connects computerized MP3 devices (PC, Laptop, Walkman, iPod, Cell Phone).
- 4. 1/4" PHONE Jack: Accepts headphones with a 1/4" plug.
- 5. MIC Volume Control: Adjusts the volume for connected microphones.
- 6. MASTER Volume Control: Controls the overall system volume; does not affect microphone volume.
- 7. BALANCE Control: Adjusts the sound balance between the left and right amplifier outputs.
- 8. BASS and TREBLE Controls: Allows boosting or attenuating bass and treble frequencies for desired sound.
- 9. AUX1/AUX2/CD/AUX/BT: Selects the desired input music source.
- 10. Switchable MIC PAGER and MIXING Modes:
- PAGER Mode: Attenuates AUX 1/AUX 2/CD signals by -12dB and allows the MIC signal to override for paging (Auto Talkover).
- MIXING Mode: Allows AUX 1/AUX 2/CD and MIC signals to play simultaneously, suitable for karaoke events.
- 11. 1/4" MIC Input Jack: Connects a microphone with a 1/4" plug.
- 12. AUX 1/AUX 2/CD RCA Inputs: Connects high-level audio sources like CD players, tape decks, tuners, camcorders, or VCRs.
- 13. REC RCA Output: Connects to a tape deck for recording.
- 14. Push Type Speaker Terminal: Connects speaker wires directly. Supports speaker impedance from 4 to 8 Ohms per channel for stereo output. Total speaker impedance must be at least 4 Ohms per channel in stereo mode.
- 15. 110/220 Voltage Selector: Selectable input voltage (110V/60Hz for USA/Canada, 220V/50Hz for European operation). Ensure the switch is in the correct position before operating to avoid severe damage.
- 16. Wireless BT Antenna: For Bluetooth connectivity.
- 17. Replaceable Power Fuse: Protects against surges and short circuits. If the amplifier fails to turn on, check and replace the fuse with a 1.5-amp, 250-volt, fast-acting, 5x20mm fuse (not supplied).
