Feature Descriptions
Omada Wi-Fi 6 Technology
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology supports up to 160 MHz Bandwidth, 8x8 UL/DL MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and 1024-QAM, making it suitable for high-performance wireless networks. The 160 MHz bandwidth enhances speeds and reduces latency for smoother streaming, gaming, and multitasking. OFDMA enables efficient channel sharing among multiple devices, reducing latency and improving performance in dense environments. MU-MIMO increases the number of simultaneous device connections, boosting overall network capacity. 1024-QAM further increases data transmission rates, offering up to 25% faster speeds compared to Wi-Fi 5.
Diagram Description: Visuals illustrate the efficiency gains of Wi-Fi 6 with OFDMA, showing multiple devices connecting to a central point more effectively than Wi-Fi 5 with OFDM. Another visual demonstrates MU-MIMO, highlighting more simultaneous connections to multiple devices.
2.5G PoE Ports for Optimized Wired Performance
The access point features a high-performance 2.5G PoE port, providing fast data speeds and boosting overall network efficiency. It is compatible with 802.3at PoE, facilitating flexible deployment.

Antenna Radiation Patterns
The following describes the antenna radiation patterns, which indicate the directional strength of the wireless signal.
2.4 GHz Band:
- XY Plane: Shows a generally omnidirectional pattern in the horizontal plane, with signal strength relatively uniform across all horizontal angles.
- XZ Plane: Illustrates a primary lobe extending upwards and outwards from the device, with a secondary, smaller lobe directed downwards.
- YZ Plane: Similar to the XZ plane, depicting signal distribution in the vertical plane relative to the device's orientation.
5 GHz Band:
- XY Plane: Displays a pattern similar to the 2.4 GHz band, indicating broad horizontal coverage.
- XZ Plane: Shows a radiation pattern with a main lobe above and a secondary lobe below the device.
- YZ Plane: Depicts signal distribution in the vertical plane, comparable to the 2.4 GHz pattern.
Note: These patterns represent typical coverage and can be influenced by environmental factors and device orientation.

* Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection, quality, and client condition.
* Use of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and features including 160 MHz Bandwidth, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and 1024-QAM requires clients to also support the corresponding features. The 160 MHz bandwidth is only available on 5 GHz band and may be unavailable in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions.
* Coverage value is calculated based on laboratory testing. Actual coverage is not guaranteed and will vary as a result of client limitations and environmental factors.
** The actual capacity depends on the wireless environment and client traffic and is generally less than the maximum number of client connections.
^ These features require the use of an Omada controller.
