Omada SDN Controller Overview
The Omada SDN Controller interface provides a centralized view of network status and performance. Key elements displayed include:
- Site Status: Default site with normal status.
- Internet Connectivity: Indicated as good.
- Device Summary: Shows 300 clients and 300 guests connected.
- Traffic Distribution: Visual representation of data flow.
- Most Active EAPs: Lists top active EAPs like EAP225-Office, EAP225-Lab, etc., with their respective traffic data (e.g., EAP225-Office: 32.07 GB).
- Channel Utilization: Displays distribution across channels.
- Traffic Activities: Shows traffic trends over time.
- Retry Rate/Dropped Rate: Visualizes retry and dropped rates per AP, categorized by percentage ranges.
The controller interface also displays device details and traffic statistics, providing comprehensive network management capabilities.
Antenna Radiation Patterns
The EAP650-Outdoor features antenna radiation patterns measured at different frequencies and angles. These patterns illustrate the signal strength distribution.
Note: The EAP650-Outdoor is based on the EAP610-Outdoor and includes auxiliary antennas for improved outdoor performance. The two sets of antennas do not operate simultaneously, and the directivity of the auxiliary antennas is not superior to the original ones.
2.45 GHz
Radiation patterns are shown for Elevation 0°, Elevation 90°, Azimuth, and a Mapped 3D view. These plots detail the beamwidth and directionality of the antenna at this frequency.
5.25 GHz
Similar radiation patterns are presented for 5.25 GHz, illustrating antenna performance across various angles.
5.5 GHz
Radiation patterns for 5.5 GHz are detailed, showing signal distribution in different planes.
5.75 GHz
Patterns for 5.75 GHz are provided, offering insights into the antenna's behavior at this frequency band.
Disclaimers
Wireless Speed and Range Disclaimer
Maximum wireless transmission rates are physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Range and coverage are based on test results under normal usage conditions. Actual rates and coverage are not guaranteed and may vary due to environmental factors (building materials, objects, obstacles), network conditions (interference, traffic volume/density, location, complexity, overhead), and client limitations (performance, location, connection quality, condition).
Wireless Client Capacity Disclaimer
Wireless client capacity specifications are based on test results under normal usage conditions. Actual capacity is not guaranteed and may vary due to environmental factors, network conditions, and client limitations.
Ethernet Port Limitation Disclaimer
Actual network speed may be limited by the Ethernet WAN/LAN port rate, network cable support, Internet service provider factors, and other environmental conditions.
MU-MIMO Disclaimer
(Only for certain devices) MU-MIMO capability requires client devices that also support MU-MIMO.
Seamless Roaming Disclaimer
(Only for certain devices) Seamless roaming requires both the access point and client devices to support 802.11k and 802.11v protocols.
Lightning and Electro-Static Discharge Protection Disclaimer
(Only for outdoor devices) Protection against lightning and electro-static discharge can be achieved through proper product setup, grounding, and cable shielding. Consult the instruction manual and an IT professional for assistance.
PoE Disclaimer
PoE budget calculations are based on laboratory testing. Actual PoE power budget is not guaranteed and will vary based on client limitations and environmental factors.
