- Select a location that is:
- Unencumbered and well-ventilated
- Away from heat sources and direct sunlight
- Not damp
- On a flat floor
- With a standard, reliable electricity supply (grounded outlet). Avoid multi-sockets or extension leads.
- With a surge protector fitted to the electrical outlet.
- Away from microwave ovens.
- Place the unit where the ambient temperature is proper. Extreme temperatures can affect performance.
Installation
- Read the instruction manual.
- Unpack and remove all protective materials.
- Position the fridge so the plug is accessible.
- Move the fridge to its final location, ensuring the compressor is not subject to physical contact.
- Level the unit using the 4 adjustable feet. Tighten the back feet and adjust the front feet to level.
Built-in Instructions
- "Built-in" fridges are front venting and not designed to be fully integrated behind a joinery door.
- Follow the installation diagram for minimum installation dimensions to ensure proper venting.
- Built-in units draw air from the right ventilation frame and expel through the left, under the front door.
- The power switch is on the control panel. A standard 120-volt power point is required.
- The power cord is 1m long and located on the right side at the back.
- Ensure air vents on the door are provided for any built-in unit with a wood door.
Electrical Connection
- Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized service center.
- The appliance is equipped with a three-prong plug for safety. Do not remove the third ground prong.
- Use a standard 115/120 Volt AC ~/60Hz electrical ground outlet with three-prong. Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified electrician.
- Plug the appliance into its own individual electrical outlet with a voltage rating matching the appliance's rating label.
- Never unplug by pulling the power cord; grip the plug firmly and pull straight out.
- Replace frayed or damaged power cords immediately.
Extension Cord
- It is strongly recommended not to use an extension cord.
- If an extension cord must be used, it must be a UL/CUL-Listed, 3-wire grounding type with a grounding plug and outlet, rated for 115 volts and at least 10 amperes.
