Smart Control - FridgeApp Instructions

First Step: Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device, start the APP, and click "Search" to find nearby fridges.

Second Step: Click the fridge icon for Bluetooth pairing. The APP will prompt you to pair the fridge by pressing the SET button [gear icon] on the fridge's control panel when connecting for the first time. After pairing, the APP will switch to the main interface, allowing you to control the fridge.

The mobile app interface displays:

  • 1. MENU: Access main menu.
  • 2. Current Temperature: Displays the current internal temperature (e.g., 0°C).
  • 3. Current Voltage: Shows the current battery voltage (e.g., 14.5V).
  • 4. Target Temperature: Displays the set target temperature (e.g., 1°C).
  • 5. Switch Left/Right Compartment: Indicates the active compartment.
  • 6. SET: Button for settings.
  • 7. ON/OFF: Button to power the unit on or off.
  • 8. Current Battery: Visual indicator of battery level.
  • 9. Temperature Control: Slider or indicator for temperature adjustment.
  • 10. Temperature Control: Buttons for adjusting temperature.
  • 11. ECO: Activates Energy-saving mode.
  • 12. Lock: Button to lock/unlock the control panel.
  • 13. °C/°F: Button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • 14. Unpairing: Button to unpair the device and return to search.
  • 15. Battery Protection Mode: Selects High, Medium, or Low battery protection levels.

Note: Clicking the lock icon [padlock icon] on the APP locks/unlocks the control panel. If locked, the fridge can only be controlled by the APP.

Downloading the "CAR FRIDGE FREEZER" Application:

Scan the QR code for iOS or Android, or search for the "CAR FRIDGE FREEZER" APP in the App Store (for Apple devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).

The VEVOR car refrigerator is designed for portable cooling. It features a dual-compartment design, recessed handles for carrying, and a control panel for operation. The unit can be powered via DC 12V/24V or an AC adapter.

Safety and Attentions

Warning: To reduce the risk of injury, user must read instructions manual carefully. ⚠️

This product is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EC. The symbol of a wheelie bin crossed through [Recycling symbol] indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. Products marked with this symbol must not be discarded with normal domestic waste but taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.

Attentions: Before using the refrigerator, please read this manual carefully and keep it properly.

  1. Before use, clean the inside and outside with a damp cloth.
  2. Do not fill the refrigerator with corrosive liquids or pour liquids directly into it.
  3. When the refrigerator is not used for a long time, disconnect the power supply and keep it dry.
  4. Regularly clean the inner chamber to prevent odor and bacteria and ensure food safety.
  5. Shut down the refrigerator and battery before pulling by the trolley (if equipped with a battery).

Connect the Power Supply

  1. Find the DC power cord in the kit. Connect the DC plug to the power outlet of the car refrigerator.
  2. Place the refrigerator securely in the car (e.g., back-up seat).
  3. Lay out power cords neatly within the car's interior space. Insert the cigarette lighter plug (one side of the power cord) into the car's cigarette lighter hole.

The refrigerator can be connected to more than one energy source. It can connect directly to a DC 12V/24V power supply. For an AC 100-240V power supply, an AC adapter should be used.

Car Refrigerator Operation

Component Diagram

The main components are:

  • Door Latch: Secures the lid.
  • Sealing Strip: Ensures an airtight seal.
  • Right Compartment: One of the internal cooling sections.
  • Control Panel: Interface for settings and display.
  • Recessed Handle: For carrying the unit.
  • Machine Compartment: Houses the compressor and cooling system.
  • Charging Port: Connection point for the power cord.
  • Left Compartment: The other internal cooling section.
  • Storage Basket (optional): Internal basket for organization.

Reverse Door Opening Direction

The door opening direction can be changed:

  • Door Disassembly: Open the door to a 90° angle, then take off the door from one side, and then from the other side.
  • Door Installation: Reverse the door opening direction, align the door shaft with the hole on one side and insert it, then fix the door on the other side to complete the installation.

Function and Operation

Note: The right compartment is located on the side with the compressor.

  • Power Supply: Connect to DC 12V/24V or AC 100-240V power using the dedicated adapter.
  • Display Screen Initialization: Upon connecting power, the unit will emit a long beep, and the display will turn on for 2 seconds before entering normal operating mode.
  • Power ON/OFF: Press the [Power symbol] button to switch the unit ON or OFF.
  • Temperature Setting (NLD series): While running, press the [+] or [-] buttons; the screen will flash. Press [+] or [-] again to adjust the freezer compartment temperature. When the screen stops flashing, the displayed temperature is the current temperature. It may take time to reach the set temperature. Note: Only the freezer compartment temperature is adjustable; the fridge compartment temperature changes accordingly and remains above 0°C/32°F.

  • Temperature Setting (NLS series): While running, long press the [+] and [gear icon] buttons simultaneously for three seconds to switch the left compartment ON/OFF. Long press the [-] and [gear icon] buttons simultaneously for three seconds to switch the right compartment ON/OFF. Both compartments cannot be switched OFF simultaneously. When both compartments are running, press [+] or [-] to enter the left compartment temperature setting. Press [+] to increase temperature, [-] to decrease, and [gear icon] to switch between left/right compartments. Settings are saved after 3 seconds of inactivity. The displayed temperature is the current compartment temperature; it will take time to reach the set temperature. Temperature setting range: -20°C to 20°C (-4°F to 68°F).
  • Cooling Mode: While running, press the [gear icon] to switch between MAX (fast cooling mode) and Eco (energy saving mode). (*Factory setting is MAX.)
  • Battery Protection Mode: While running, long press the [gear icon] for 3 seconds until the left screen flashes, then press [gear icon] again to switch between High (H), Medium (M), and Low (L). (*Factory setting is Medium.)

*The voltage is a theoretical value; there may be deviations in different vehicles.

Due to varying output voltages between vehicles, set to H when connected to car power, and M or L when connected to a portable battery or other back-up battery.

  • Temperature Unit Setting: Switch OFF the fridge, long press the [gear icon] for three seconds until E1 displays. Press the [gear icon] again to switch to E5. Under E5 mode, press [+] or [-] to select Celsius or Fahrenheit.
  • Reset: Switch OFF the fridge, long press the [gear icon] for three seconds until E1 displays. Under E1 mode, long press [+] and [-] simultaneously for three seconds to reset it.

Things to Note

Cleaning:

  • Switch off and unplug the device first to avoid electric shock.
  • Use a wet cloth to clean the device and dry it.
  • Do not soak the fridge in water or wash it directly.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, as they can damage the device.

Storage:

If the device will not be in use for a long time, follow these instructions:

  • Switch off and unplug the device.
  • Take out all stored items.
  • Wipe off excess water with a soft rag.
  • Place the fridge in a cool and dry place.
  • Leave the lid slightly open to prevent odors from forming.
  • Recommended storage environment: ambient temperature: 25°C, ambient humidity: ≤75%.

Defrosting:

Humidity can form frost on the interior cooling device or evaporator, reducing cooling capacity. Defrost the device promptly to avoid this.

  • Switch off and unplug the device first to avoid electric shock.
  • Take out all stored items.
  • Keep the lid open.
  • Wipe off the defrosted water.

Never use hard or pointed tools to remove ice or loosen frozen objects.

Troubleshooting Methods

Advice: If abnormal situations cannot be resolved through simple fault analysis, please contact professional customer service for assistance.

There is "water flow" noise from inside the refrigeratorThis is a normal phenomenon, caused by the flow of refrigerant.
There are water drops around the refrigerator casing or door gapThis is a normal phenomenon; moisture condenses to water when it touches a cold surface of the refrigerator.
The compressor is slightly noisy when startingThis is a normal phenomenon; the noise will be reduced after the compressor works stably.
Code F1 displayedPossible cause: low voltage to fridge. Adjust the battery protection from High to Medium or from Medium to Low.
Code F2 displayedPossible cause: condenser fan is overloaded. Disconnect power to fridge for 5 minutes & re-start. If the code shows again, contact the manufacturer for service.
Code F3 displayedPossible cause: the compressor starts too frequently. Disconnect power to fridge for 5 minutes & re-start. If the code shows again, contact the manufacturer for service.
Code F4 displayedPossible cause: compressor not kicking in. Disconnect power to fridge for 5 minutes & re-start.
Code F5 displayedPossible cause: overheating of the compressor & electronics. Disconnect power to fridge for 5 minutes & re-start. If the code shows again, contact the manufacturer for service.
Code F6 displayedPossible cause: no parameter can be detected by the controller. Disconnect power to fridge for 5 minutes & re-start. If the code shows again, contact the manufacturer for service.

Use Suggestions

  1. If equipped with a backup battery, you can maintain any temperature you set under any circumstances without worries.
  2. When placing ice cream, please adjust the temperature to the lowest setting; it must be powered on for a long time.
  3. Prevent health problems of drinking bottled water caused by high temperatures by using the refrigerator.
  4. Frozen food, rare seafood, and vehicle-mounted refrigerators help keep fresh food cold during journeys.
  5. Healthcare products, insulin, and imported drugs require refrigeration; the precise temperature control of onboard refrigerators ensures their safety.
  6. Tea leaves are kept fresh in the car refrigerator, allowing for fresh tea anytime during self-driving tours.
  7. The best storage temperature for red wine is 10°C - 18°C (50 - 64.4°F). The precise temperature control ensures optimal storage.
  8. The storage time of high-grade fruit in a car during high summer temperatures is at least 2 hours, shorter if the air conditioner is on. Using a car refrigerator effectively preserves high-grade fruit.
  9. High-grade sunglasses' coatings can degrade under high summer temperatures; the car refrigerator is an ideal place to store them.
  10. High-grade cosmetics deteriorate quickly in high car temperatures; carrying them in the car refrigerator is a better choice.

Safety Precautions

WARNING!

  • Do not operate the appliance if it is visibly damaged. ⚠️
  • Do not block the fridge gaps with items like pins or wires.
  • Do not expose the appliance to rain or soak it in water.
  • Do not place the appliance near naked flames or other heat sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens, etc.).
  • Do not store explosive substances like spray cans with flammable propellant.
  • Ensure the supply cord is dry and not trapped or damaged. Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
  • Check that the voltage specification on the type plate corresponds to the energy supply. The appliance must only be used with the provided power supply unit.
  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments unless they are recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Once unpacked and before turning on, the appliance must be placed on a level surface for more than 6 hours.
  • Ensure the appliance stays horizontal while running. The tilt angle must be less than 5° for long-time running and less than 45° for short-time running.
  • Keep ventilation openings free of obstacles.
  • Keep the appliance stable on the ground or in the car; do not drain upside down.
  • When positioning, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.
  • Risk of child entrapment: Before discarding an old refrigerator or freezer, take off the doors and leave the shelves in place so children cannot climb inside.
  • Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate defrosting, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Repairs must only be carried out by qualified personnel. Incorrect repairs may cause danger. The lamp and supply cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified persons.
  • Installation of DC power in a boat must be handled by qualified electricians.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision.
  • The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience, if given supervision or instruction on safe use and understanding of hazards.

  • Do not use sharp tools to defrost; do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
  • Risk of child entrapment: Before discarding an old refrigerator or freezer, take off the doors and leave the shelves in place so children cannot climb inside.
  • Check if the cooling capacity is suitable for storing food or medicine. Food may only be stored in its original packaging or suitable containers.
  • If the appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mold development.
  • The appliance is intended for household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas, camping, farm houses, hotels, motels, residential environments, bed and breakfast, catering, and similar non-retail applications.
  • To avoid contamination of drinks, please respect the following instructions:
  • Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase in compartment temperature.
  • Clean surfaces that come into contact with drinks and accessible drainage systems regularly.
  • Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers, ensuring they do not contact or drip onto other food.
  • If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mold.

Please follow local regulations regarding the disposal of the appliance, its flammable refrigerant, and blowing gas.
