Pairing AirFly with AirPods
Step 1: Activate AirFly
Slide the ON/OFF switch upwards to activate the AirFly. It will automatically enter Pairing Mode, indicated by a flashing white and orange light. For future repairs or resets, press and hold the Reset button for four seconds to enter Pairing Mode.
Tip: To facilitate pairing, disable Bluetooth on the device previously used with your AirPods.

Step 2: Prepare AirPods for Pairing
Place your AirPods in their charging case. With the charging case lid open, press and hold the button on the back of the case until the light flashes white.

Step 3: Confirm Pairing
Once pairing is successful, the light on the AirPods charging case will turn green, and the light on the AirFly will turn white and then turn off after 10 seconds. Note: Initial pairing may take up to 90 seconds, but AirFly will remember your AirPods for future reconnections.

Step 4: Connect to Audio Source
Connect the AirFly to any device with a standard headphone jack to listen to audio wirelessly.

Pairing AirFly with Wireless Headphones
Step 1: Activate AirFly
Slide the ON/OFF switch upwards to activate the AirFly. It will automatically enter Pairing Mode, indicated by a flashing white and orange light. For future repairs or resets, press and hold the Reset button for four seconds to enter Pairing Mode.

Step 2: Put Headphones in Pairing Mode
Set your wireless headphones to Bluetooth pairing mode. (Consult your headphone's user manual for specific instructions.)

Step 3: Confirm Pairing

Volume Control and Mute
To adjust the volume on the AirFly, press the volume buttons (up '+' or down '-'). You can also press and hold the volume buttons to progressively increase or decrease the volume to its upper or lower limit.
To temporarily mute the AirFly's audio, double-press the Volume Down button. The light will flash orange continuously to indicate that the volume is MUTED. Double-press the Volume Down button again to unmute the audio and return to the previous volume setting.

Battery Indicator
To check the AirFly's battery status, double-press the Volume Up (+) button:
- 4 orange flashes = approx. 100%
- 3 orange flashes = approx. 75%
- 2 orange flashes = approx. 50%
- 1 orange flash = approx. 25%

Activating and Deactivating AirFly
Use the switch located on the side of the AirFly to activate or deactivate it. Slide upwards to activate. Slide downwards to deactivate. The AirFly will automatically reconnect to your headphones when activated.

Reconnecting Headphones to iPhone
Once synchronized, the AirFly will remember your AirPods or headphones and connect to them when the device is activated. To switch back to using your AirPods or headphones with your smartphone or tablet, deactivate the AirFly first. On your device, open Bluetooth settings and select your headphones from the list. The status will change from "Not Connected" to "Connected" once the headphones are paired with your device.

Charging AirFly
To charge, simply connect the included USB-C to USB-A cable to the AirFly and then to any powered USB port. The AirFly will be fully charged within 2 hours.
The internal battery of the AirFly lasts approximately 20 hours. Twelve South recommends charging the AirFly before its first use. If your AirFly is low on power, it will flash orange 3 times to alert you that it needs to be charged soon.
While charging, the AirFly will illuminate orange and remain lit. Once fully charged, the orange indicator light will turn off. If desired, the AirFly can remain plugged in and charging while in use.

Tips and Tricks
- If only one AirPod seems to be playing audio, deactivate and then reactivate the AirFly. This will resynchronize the AirFly and reconnect both AirPods.
- If you wish to pair a new set of headphones to the AirFly, or if you are having difficulty connecting to your current headphones, reset the AirFly by pressing and holding the Reset button on the side of the AirFly for 4 seconds. Once reset, the AirFly will flash yellow 4 times and then enter Pairing Mode.
