Subwoofer Placement & Time Alignment
For optimal performance, place the subwoofer on the same side of the room as your system's front speakers. Placing the subwoofer in a corner or near a wall can increase its loudness. Ensure the unit is placed feet-side down. Experiment with different locations to find the best sound quality in your listening environment. Avoid placing the subwoofer near video monitors; maintain at least 18 inches of space to prevent distortion or discoloration.
Configurations
Receiver with Subwoofer Output
Connect the subwoofer to your receiver's subwoofer output using an RCA cable. If your receiver lacks an LFE (Low Frequency Effects) input, connect to the Line In RCA jacks and set the frequency knob to 150Hz. Alternatively, use a Y-splitter RCA cable to connect to the subwoofer's Line In jacks.
Receiver with No Subwoofer Output
Option 1: High Level Inputs
Connect the left and right front channel speaker outputs from your receiver to the subwoofer's High Level speaker inputs. Then, connect the subwoofer's High Level speaker outputs to your front channel speakers. Important: Do not use the RCA Line In inputs when using the High Level inputs.
Settings
Auto On/Off
Set the switch to "AUTO" for the unit to turn on when it detects an audio signal and turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Set to "ON" to keep the unit powered on continuously. Set to "OFF" to disable power.
Volume
Adjust the subwoofer's volume level using various audio signals.
Frequency
This control adjusts the subwoofer's crossover frequency. For tower or bookshelf speakers (with woofers 5.25" or larger), set your receiver's crossover to 80Hz. For satellite speakers, set it to 100Hz-120Hz.
Phase Switch
To set the phase, play music with prominent basslines and identify the transition point where the subwoofer blends with your main speakers. Select the phase setting (0° or 180°) that sounds loudest at this transition point for optimal integration.
