Features
- 1. High Level Inputs: Used with factory head units or if the head unit has no RCA outputs. These are also referred to as speaker level inputs and allow connection to factory speaker wires. They convert the high voltage from speaker wires to a voltage the amplifier can handle, providing clean, well-defined sound.
- 2. Bass Remote: Connect the dash-mounted bass remote (included) via the RJ11 cable.
- 3. RCA Input: Connect to your head unit's RCA outputs.
- 4. Gain Control: Tunes the amplifier's input stage to accept the head unit's RCA output voltage level. Turn counterclockwise to the MIN position and adjust head unit volume.
- 5. Low Pass Crossover Control: Adjusts frequencies between 40Hz - 250Hz. The subwoofer will only play frequencies below the set point.
- 6. Power LED: Indicates proper voltage and power. Protect LED: Indicates a diagnostic condition (e.g., power connections, blown fuse, too high input, or internal failure).
- 7. Power Connections: Refer to the wiring diagram for proper setup.
- 8. Fuse: Indicates the location of the fuse.
Wiring Diagrams and Connections
High Level Input
This diagram illustrates connecting the amplifier's "HIGH LEVEL INPUT" terminals to your vehicle's stereo system. It shows:
- Connecting the "From LEFT speaker's POSITIVE wire" to the amplifier's positive input.
- Connecting the "From LEFT speaker's NEGATIVE wire" to the amplifier's negative input.
- Connecting the "From RIGHT speaker's POSITIVE wire" to the amplifier's positive input.
- Connecting the "From RIGHT speaker's NEGATIVE wire" to the amplifier's negative input.
⚠️ WARNING: Use either High Level inputs or RCA inputs. NEVER USE BOTH!
⚠️ WARNING: Do not use Remote Turn-on (REM) when using High Level inputs.
RCA Input/Bass Remote
This section details the "RCA INPUT/BASS REMOTE" connections. It shows:
- A connection from the "HEAD UNIT's RCA output" to the amplifier's RCA input.
- A connection for the "Bass Remote" control, which uses an RJ11 cable.
❗ ATTENTION: If your Head Unit has an RCA subwoofer output, use a single RCA to dual RCA cable.
⚠️ WARNING: Use either High Level inputs or RCA inputs. NEVER USE BOTH!
Power Connections
This diagram outlines the essential power connections:
- Connect from the POSITIVE (+) battery terminal to the amplifier's POSITIVE (+12V) terminal using a positive wire.
- Connect from the HEAD UNIT's remote turn-on wire or the VEHICLE's accessory lead to the amplifier's REMOTE START (REM) terminal using a remote wire.
- Connect from the VEHICLE's CHASSIS to the amplifier's GROUND (GND) terminal using a ground wire.
❗ ATTENTION: The ground wire should be 8 gauge or heavier. Ensure that there is no paint or other insulator at the point of contact on the chassis.
