Steamer Assembly

Place the box on a large, sturdy, flat surface. Carefully remove the appliance from the packing material. Keep all plastic bags away from children. Some assembly is required.

Attaching the Telescopic Pole and Rotating Hanger

  1. Remove the thumb screw from the bottom of the telescopic pole.
  2. Insert the telescopic pole into the opening on the back of the steamer. Press down firmly to ensure the pole has reached the bottom. Replace the screw securing the pole to the base.
  3. Fully extend the telescopic pole, locking the two clips.
  4. Place the hanger assembly atop the pole, and hang the steam nozzle from the cradle.
  5. Hang your garment for steaming away wrinkles. The hanger rotates 360 degrees.
  6. Fill the water tank from the top opening with distilled water. Do not open the bottom cap (used for cleaning/removing excess water only).
  7. Plug the steamer unit into a standard 120V AC power outlet.
  8. The bristle brush and soft cushion brush attachments easily snap over the soleplate. The soft cushion brush attachment is recommended for delicate fabrics.

Operating Instructions

Filling the Water Tank (Prior to Plugging in the Appliance)

Remove the water tank using the handle on top. Fill the reservoir through the top opening with distilled water until the desired level. Do not overfill. Position the water tank on the base and ensure it is seated properly. Do not fill the tank with hot water. Do not unscrew the bottom cap unless for cleaning. Always empty or fill the tank over a sink, being careful not to spill water from the small top opening.

Turning Steamer On

  1. Remove the water tank from the base, fill with distilled water, and press the tank down into the main unit.
  2. Press the foot activated power switch once to turn the unit ON.
  3. While water is heating, the green light will blink.
  4. Once the green light is steady, the unit is ready to use.
  5. Press the trigger switch on the steam head to release steam.
  6. For continuous high-velocity steam, use the trigger lock.
  7. The rotary switch on the steam head allows selection of the desired steam mode. The first setting emits steam through the soleplate, while the second setting emits steam from the top and sides. Adjust the amount of steam from the sides by turning the dial.
  8. When water level is low, an audio warning will sound. Refill the water tank to continue.
  9. Press the foot activated power switch again to turn the unit OFF.

How to Steam

Grasp the handle of the steam nozzle with the soleplate facing away. Begin at the bottom of the fabric to allow steam to rise inside and outside, removing wrinkles. Slowly move the nozzle from bottom to top. Some fabrics are best steamed on the underside. This relaxes fibers, eliminating wrinkles. Try the multidirectional steam setting for use inside garments to freshen and eliminate odors. Use the soleplate to help remove wrinkles in thicker, heavier, and less delicate fabrics, on an ironing board or similar surface.

NOTE:

CAUTION:

To Steam Drapes

Wash and dry drapes as directed. Rehang drapes and steam them when they are in place.

Using Pants Clip System

This fabric steamer is equipped with a pants clip system for holding pants taut for faster and more effective steaming. The two top pants clips are attached to the hanger to secure the top of the garment. The bottom clips can be adjusted by pulling them up to reach the bottom of the pants. If pants are too long for the bottom clips, use only the top clips and let the pants hang freely.

Using the Built-In Creaser

This fabric steamer has a built-in creaser. After assembly and turning on, follow these steps for sharp creases:

  1. Move the selector switch to the 3-directional steam setting on the nozzle.
  2. Hold the sleeve or pants leg by the cuff and slide the nozzle over the fabric. Position the fabric fully inside the creaser opening on the nozzle head.
  3. Turn the nozzle 90 degrees so the fabric is taut and the crease is positioned properly. Caution: steam will exit from both sides of the nozzle.
  4. While maintaining tension, run the nozzle up and down the garment, allowing steam and tension to create the desired crease.

Cleaning and Storing

  1. Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF and unplug.
  2. Wait for the steamer to cool completely (at least 30 minutes).
  3. Remove the water tank, open the bottom cover, and empty unused contents. Allow to air dry.
  4. Collapse the telescopic hanger pole.
  5. Replace the water tank.
  6. Store the unit.

Decalcification

If the appliance produces steam more slowly or intermittently, decalcification may be needed to remove calcium deposits. For best performance, decalcify once a month, depending on usage frequency.

To decalcify:

  1. Add a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 distilled water to the water tank.
  2. Place the water tank in the unit.
  3. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
  4. Turn to the ON position and run until half the amount has steamed (1 liter).
  5. Turn the unit to OFF, unplug, and allow to sit for 30 minutes.

Repeat the procedure as many times as necessary (usually 2-3 times) until a normal steam rate returns, using a fresh solution each time. After decalcification, run one cycle of fresh, distilled water without vinegar through the unit before steaming garments again.

NOTE:

Amounts of chemicals in water vary by area. To ensure continued operation, use only distilled water. Never store the steamer without cleaning and removing excess water from the reservoir and water tank.
