1. Before you begin

1.1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Our powerful 12kg top load clothes washer is a great laundry solution for any size family and individuals, providing excellent results wash after wash. It's energy and water efficient, helping to reduce power and water usage. With a host of features and programs, TECO clothes washers can tackle everything from delicates to large and heavily soiled fabrics. Water level and speed selector means total control is at your fingertips.

Child lock ensures curious little fingers won't disrupt a cycle, and the add item function means those last second clothes don't miss out.

Risk to children!

  • EN countries: The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • IEC countries: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ON SERVICING

Risk of explosion!

  • Do not wash or dry articles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or dabbed with combustible or explosive substances (such as wax, oil, paint, gasoline, degreasers, dry-cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc). This may result in fire or explosion.
  • Beforehand, thoroughly rinse items of washing by hand.

CAUTION - Installing the product!

RISK OF DAMAGING APPLIANCE!

  • Your product is only for home use and is only designed for the textiles suitable for machine washing.
  • Do not climb up and sit on the top cover of the machine.
  • Do not lean against the machine door.

Cautions during Handling Machine:

  1. Transport bolts shall be reinstalled to the machine by a specialized person.
  2. The accumulated water shall be drained out of the machine.
  3. Handle the machine carefully. Never hold each protruded part on the machine while lifting. The machine door cannot be used as the handle during conveyance.
  • This appliance is heavy. Transport with care.
  • Please do not close the door with excessive force.
  • It is forbidden to wash carpets.

Operating the appliance!

  • Before washing the clothes for the first time, the product shall be operated in one round of the whole procedures without the clothes inside.
  • Flammable and explosive or toxic solvents are forbidden.
  • Gasoline and alcohol etc. Shall not be used as detergents.
  • Please only select the detergents suitable for machine washing, especially for the drum.
  • Make sure that all pockets are emptied. Sharp and rigid items such as coins, brooches, nails, screws or stones etc. may cause serious damages to this machine.
  • Please check whether the water inside the drum has been drained before opening its door. Please do not open the door if there is any water visible.
  • Be careful of burning when the product drains hot washing water.
  • Never refill the water by hand during washing.
  • After the program is completed, please wait for two minutes to open the door.

Packaging/Old appliance

  • Contact your local authorities for the correct method of disposal. Dispose of all packaging in a responsible manner in accordance with local regulations.
  • Dispose of old appliances in accordance with local regulations. Remove the doors, cut off the main cable, break or remove spring or bolt catches if fixed to prevent children getting trapped or involve themselves in other dangers.

3. Product overview

3.1 PRODUCT DIAGRAM - NAME OF PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS – Installing the Bottom Cover

  1. Unplug the Power Cord of the washer.
  2. Gently lay down the backside of washer on a soft mat or cushion. (Be careful not to dent the Frame.)
  3. Insert the attached Bottom Cover into the hooks of Leg by straightly pushing until it reaches into the back hooks.
  4. Fasten the Bottom Cover with a screw.
  5. Gently set the washer upright.

Location of Washer

  1. Choose a dry location out of sunlight for the washer.
  2. Install the washer on a stable and level surface.
  3. Adjust the adjustable leg of washer if necessary to make the washer level. The Maximum permissible inclination of the supporting surface is 2°.

CAUTION:

Do not block the ventilation openings on the bottom of washer by carpeting when the washer is installed on a carpeted floor.

4. Installation Instructions

Connect the Inlet Hose:

  1. Check that sealing washers are firmly seated.
  2. Attach the curved end of the hose to the inlet valve of the washing machine. Tighten the coupling nuts securely by hand.
  3. Attach straight end of the hose to the tap. Tighten the coupling nuts securely by hand.
  4. Turn on the taps and check for leaks. Tighten the coupling nuts firmly if there is any leakage. If water pressure is strong, close the water tap completely then open it slightly.

CAUTIONS:

  • Do not use water which is hotter than 60°C.
  • If your faucet is not suitable, please consult your dealer.

Installing Water Supply Hose to the Washer

Turn the nut clockwise till the nut turned tight while holding the hose.

Turn the nut counterclockwise after turning the faucet off when you want to detach the water supply hose.

How to Installing the Drain Hose:

  1. Pinching the two bands of the clamp on the drain hose, connect it to the pump (rear to cabinet) and fix the hose band.
  2. Pull the Drain Hose upward and fix it to the hose clip on back over of cabinet.
  3. Hang the drain hose to the hole on right side of top frame when the washer is not working. And put the drain hose to drain spout when washer start working.

CAUTIONS:

  • Please make sure the height of drain hose is not less than 800 mm during operating, otherwise, the washer won't work well, or the water may flow out in the course of washing. And no more than 1200 mm, otherwise the washer will not drain water well.
  • Never lay down the drain hose, as water will discharged.
  • Be sure the drain hose is properly routed so it will not kink or lift from the sink.

THE USE AND NOTE OF ROLLER

  • Using the roller will help you to move the washing machine more easy. Make the washing machine about 30 degrees tilt push forward or pull backward with the hand holding washing machine on two frame side.
  • The roller is not suitable for uneven ground, which easily causes damage to the roller.
  • Please don't tilt the washing machine too hard, which easily causes personal injury.

5. Control panel

THE PREPARATION OF LAUNDRY BEFORE WASHING

  • Make sure that nothing is remained in pocket. (Pin, coin or something like possibly damage clothes or washing machine, and the extra noise occurred may cause trouble to washing mach.
  • Wool items like women underwear, articles with embroidery, nylon etc, should be placed in a laundry net for extra protection.
  • Close the fastener and tie loose laces.
  • Put light clothes down. Please pause operation and put it into water when it floats up.
  • Please separate white clothes from coloured clothes, coats from underwear.

6. How to use course and program

Normal Usage

1. Preparation

  1. Make sure to fit the Drain hose.
  2. Connect the cold, water supply hose to the faucet and turn the faucet on.
  3. Plug the Power Cord into a socket.
  4. Put clothes inside.
  1. Press POWER ON/OFF button.
  2. Use recommended amount of detergent as shown in chart.
  3. Press START/PAUSE button.
  • Sensor tests the clothes weight automatically. (For NORMAL/CUSTOM/HEAVY/QUICK WASH)
  • Auto choose water level, wash/spin time, water flow.

HOW TO USE COURSE AND PROGRAM

  • Preparation: Fit the Drain hose, turn the water supply faucet on, plug the Power Cord into a socket, put clothes inside.
  • Press POWER ON/OFF button.
  • Press PROGRAM button to choose the program you need according to the clothes.

Please refer to below chart for program choosing.

4. Press PROCESS buttons to choose PRESET, SOAK, WASH, RINSE time, SPIN times.

  • PRESET time indicating: 6→7→...... 24→0→1→2(hours) →3→4→5
  • SOAK time indicating: 0→10→20→30→40 minutes (This function is not available for QUICK WASH /DELICATE/DRUM CLEAN)
  • WASH time indicating: 0→1→2→9→10…20 minutes
  • QUICK WASH/DELICATE time indicating: 0→1→2→9→10…15 minutes
  • RINSE times indicating: 0→1→2→3→4 (The number means times)
  • QUICK WASH times indicating: 0→1→2→3 (The number means times)
  • SPIN time indicating: 0→1→2→5→6→9 minutes (NORMAL, CUSTOM, HEAVY)
  • SPIN time indicating: 0→1→2→3→4→5 minutes (QUICK WASH, DELICATE)

Note: "DRUM CLEAN" is the fixed program, "WASHING TIME"/"RINSE TIMES"/"SPIN TIME", not adjustable.

VARIOUS FUNCTIONS

DELICATE

  • Before washing wool, fiber and other material clothes, please confirm the mark.
  • When this program is set, the water level is 6 automatically. But you could change the water level to 3-8 according to the size of your fleece clothes.
Order of operations:
  1. Open the washer lid and press POWER ON/OFF button.
  2. Press the PROGRAM button till the light of DELICATE turn on.
  3. Pour into the liquid detergent, dissolve it into a 5L warm water (about 30°C) if the detergent is used, then pour it into the laundry slowly.
  4. Put the wool cloth into the washing machine.
  5. Press the WATER LEVEL button. (adjusting the water level accordingly)
  6. Cover the washer lid.
  • It will stop automatically before spin if the washer lid if not settled perfectly.
  • After one washing program, the buzzer will work and the power will be shut down 5s later.
  • Turn off the tap and wash the filter after washing.

NOTE

  • The washing capacity should be under 3.0kg.
  • Take off the clothes and hang out after the program. Or it will be out of shape after a long time stay.
  • The water temperature should be under 30 in order to less harm the clothes.
  • Please separate the light color clothes with the deep one.
  • The washing performance will be better if special purpose detergent is used.
  • And do less harm to the clothes.

PRESET

  1. Turn the faucet on and load the laundry into the washer, make sure to fit the Drain Hose.
  2. Press POWER ON/OFF button.
  3. Select your needed PROGRAM, PROCESS, WATER LEVEL function.
  4. Press SET button to select your needed preset time (the time washing finished).
  5. Press START/PAUSE button.
  6. Put the detergent into the washer and close washer lid.
  • All the lights except PRESET will be lighted off in about one minute later. (If you set the CHILD LOCK, CHILD LOCK light will be on.)

LIQUID DETERGENT

  • Put Liquid detergent into "Liquid detergent port" before washing.
  • In order to avoid residual, please clean box every 2-3 months.

VARIOUS FUNCTIONS

TWO CLEAN STEPS FUNCTION

The washer will start washing when water to the level below 2 levels as set. By this, the washer starts working with more density of detergent.

  • This function will not be available if selection of water level is 1 or 2.
  • DELICATE don't have this function.
  • When SOAK is selected, this function will not be effected after soaking.

INTELLIGENT MEMORY

When you choose “Normal", "Custom", "Heavy" program, the machine will memory this program. In next time, press the "Power", press the “START/PAUSE", the machine will start the same program. Custom program will memory the process, for example "Soak”, “Wash”, “Rinse”, “Spin", but will not the memory the preset time and water level. This function is not available for Delicate, Drum Clean and Quick Wash program.

CHILD LOCK FUNCTION

The Washer will stop working automatically and alarm if washer lid opened 5 seconds during operation.

Method of Child Lock Set:
  • Press POWER ON/OFF button to switch on the power.
  • Press PROGRAM button for 4 seconds till Buzzer sounds. To restore it, repeat above.

DELETE THE END BUZZER

Press POWER ON/OFF button to switch on the power and press START/PAUSE button for 4 seconds till a sound from buzzer. To restore it, repeat above.

6. Troubleshooting Guide

When the following problems occur, the microcomputer will detect the abnormal condition and an electronic buzzer sounds for approximately 10 seconds and the indicators flash as shown below.

  • Check the POWER ON/OFF button.
  • Check the START/PAUSE button.
  • Check whether under PRESET condition.
  • Check the power cord whether is securely plugged in.
  • Check whether power failure occurs.
  • Check whether the fuse or circuit breaker has been activated.
Water does not flow into tub or water flow is slim E1
  • Turn on the water supply faucet.
  • Check whether water supply has been cut off.
  • Check whether the metal filter in water inlet is clogged.
  • Check whether washer has been freezing.
  • Check whether water pressure is too low.
Water does not drain out E2
  • The height of drain hose is less than 800mm.
  • The height of drain hose is more than 1200mm.
  • Put down the drain hose from the hookhole.
  • Check the drain hose for any obstructions.
  • Check whether the drain hose is clogged.
  • Check whether the drain rises too high off the ground.
The washer does not spin E3
E4
  • Check whether the laundry is clumped on one side of tub.
  • Check whether the washer is on the level surface.
  • Close the washer lid.
Does not wash E5
  • Check whether the washer is under Child Lock.
  • Check whether the washer lid is open.
Other troubles EA
EC
  • Press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn off the power, call the local service-person or dealer.

NOTE: The Trouble indicators can be released by pressing the START/PAUSE button once if you want to release the emergency stop. Then press the START/PAUSE button again to restart the operation.

NO TROUBLE CONDITIONS

  1. During Washing or Rinsing, there is still Water inletting. This is possibly automatic water adding due to water level decrease.
  2. Spin tub turns or stops timely at the beginning of spinning. This is intermittent spinning for better spin effect.
  3. Water is inletting and rinsing sometimes during spinning. This is automatic lean-correction due to clothe is not equally inside.
  4. There is sound like water flow after spinning. This is the sound of balance liquid in Balance Ring. It is for reducing vibration of spinning.
  5. Control panel keeps warm after power off, this is caused by Remembering circuitry working.
