Perfect Fit Crib Attachment™ Assembly
Slide the Perfect Fit Crib Attachment™ into the mounting grooves on the back of the base unit until an audible click is heard.
Visual Description: A diagram shows the Perfect Fit Crib Attachment sliding into grooves on the back of the main unit. Labels indicate "Catch" (Agarre/Attrape) which is used to detach the unit.
Mounting Instructions
Choose a side rail for mounting the crib toy so that the Baby Einstein soother will be visible to both you and the baby. If at all possible, choose a stationary side.
Visual Description: An illustration shows a crib with a "Stationary side" labeled, and a "Detachable buckle" on the strap.
To attach the unit to the rail, press and slide the detachable buckle to unhook the nylon strap. Position the base unit at the top of a rail. Make sure the front of the unit is inside the crib rails, facing the baby.
For best fit, adjust the unit to the height of the rail by moving the vertical slider until the strap is touching the bottom of the rail. To secure the unit, place the detachable buckle back in its original slot and pull the nylon strap to tighten.
Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate adjusting the "Vertical slider" (Deslizante vertical/Molette verticale) and securing the "Nylon strap" (Correa de nylon/Sangle en nylon) with the "Detachable buckle" (Hebilla desmontable/Boucle amovible).
Check the crib toy installation. Measure the distance between the bottom of the toy and the surface of the mattress. If the distance is less than 7 inches (18 cm), then:
- Lower the mattress position in the crib, or...
- Mount the crib toy to a taller side rail, if available.
If the crib toy is mounted to an adjustable rail, make sure the rail is in the raised (locked) position.
Visual Description: An illustration shows a crib with a measurement indicating "7 in. (18 cm) minimum" distance required between the toy and the mattress.
Operating Instructions
Power/Volume Switch: Slide the switch from the OFF position to either Low or High to select the master volume for music or nature sounds playback.
Mode Selector Switch: Use the Mode Switch to select the desired active functions for initial playback: music or nature sounds, and whether to include lights or motion in the sea scene. Playback functions gently diminish at 10-minute intervals.
- After 10 minutes, sea motion stops and volume decreases.
- After 20 minutes, sea lights turn OFF and volume decreases further.
- After 25 minutes, music or nature sounds turn OFF. The unit enters Standby Mode, and the crib check light function will be available.
Play/stop buttons: Press the button (on main unit or on IR remote) to start the music or nature sound playback sequence (with lights and motion, depending on the selected mode). Press the button again to stop playback. The play list includes 10 melodies and natural water sounds (see Song List on page 13).
IR Remote Sensor: The IR remote control provides the Play/stop function from any location with a direct view of the crib toy (360° within 12 to 15 ft. range). The main unit will sense remote control input at any time during playback or for up to two hours after entering Standby Mode. To activate the IR sensor, the main unit must be ON and active.
Low Battery Indicator: The Low Battery function detects weak batteries and suspends normal mobile operation and music. The battery indicator turns red when the batteries are weak. To restore normal operation, replace all batteries with new alkaline size C batteries.
Note: Weak batteries cause erratic product operation, including distorted sound, dimming or failed lights, and slow or non-working motorized parts. Replace batteries when any function fails to operate.
Visual Description: A diagram shows the main unit with controls labeled: Power/volume Switch, Mode Select Switch, Low Battery Indicator, IR Sensor, Crib Check Light Button, Play/stop Button. A table illustrates the modes (Music, Sounds, Lights, Motion) and their availability based on the symbol.

Using the Remote Control
The infrared (IR) remote control provides the Play/stop function from any location with a direct view of the crib toy (360° within 12 to 15 ft. range). Aim the remote control at the IR sensor on top of the crib toy and press the Play/stop Button. Be sure there are no obstructions directly between the remote control and the sensor.
Note: Bright sunlight or artificial light may reduce the crib toy's sensitivity to the remote control. To increase the control range, reduce ambient light at the crib toy.
The remote control has a built-in hanger loop for storage. Pivot the loop outward to deploy for use.
Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate the 360° range of the remote control and the deployment of its hanger loop.
