Safety Information

• Always install the regulator in Gas OFF position only.
• It is recommended that the regulator should be changed every 10 years from the date of manufacture for safe operation.
• For outdoor use, position the device and protect it against direct contact with water.
• Before installation, ensure the rubber gasket in the cylinder valve or regulator is in good condition.
• Make sure all valves on the appliance are turned off.
• Use LPG cylinders in an upright vertical position only.
• Rubber hoses should not be more than 5-10 years old.
• Do not attempt to remove the regulator while the gas is ON.
• Do not move the LPG cylinder while in operation.
• Do not change the LPG cylinder in the presence of candle lights or any naked flames.
• When installing the regulator downstream of another regulator, ensure the supply pressure range is correct for the regulated pressure range of the upstream regulator, plus any pressure losses in the interconnecting pipe work.
• Downstream installation pressure loss shall not exceed the $\Delta \mathrm{P}$ marked on the device.
• If fitting the regulator indirectly to a pressurized tank: The regulator must not be positioned lower than the top of the tank or outlet valve to avoid gas vapor re-liquefying into the regulator. Any additional pipes or hoses must be inclined so that liquefied or condensed gas can drain back into the tank.

Installation

1. Check the gasket/seal on the cylinder valve is in place and in good condition. If not, ask your gas dealer to replace the cylinder valve.
2. Conduct a visual inspection of the regulator. Remove any dirt or loose metal shavings.
3. Fit the gas hose to the regulator outlet nozzle. Use water or liquid soap for lubrication. Insert firmly and clamp with a hose clamp. If the regulator has a threaded outlet, tighten the hose nut to the regulator by hand, then firmly with a wrench. Attach the hose to the gas appliance similarly.
4. In the absence of any flame, remove the protection seal or cap from the gas cylinder valve.
5. Tighten the regulator hand wheel firmly by hand. No tools are needed.
6. Open the regulator knob counter-clockwise, at least one full turn.
7. Press the excess flow valve push button on the regulator outlet to fill gas into the hose. Wait 5 seconds.
8. Perform a leak test using the manometer gauge. If no leaks, the gas appliance can be started.
9. If leaks are detected, check the installation and repeat the leak test procedure.
10. To replace the cylinder, turn the gas cylinder valve OFF, then unscrew the regulator.

Gas Level Indicator

Read the current gas level when the gas appliance is in use, using these color indicators:

• Blue: The cylinder is nearly empty, with no more liquid gas.
• Yellow: The cylinder will soon be empty; plan to refill.
• Green: Enough gas for continuous consumption.

Leak Test Procedure

1. Connect the regulator to the gas appliance with the gas hose. Ensure gas appliance valves are in the closed/off position.
2. Attach the regulator to the gas cylinder valve.
3. Open the gas flow by turning the gas cylinder valve control knob.
4. After filling the regulator and hose with gas, close the regulator valve again. Gas is now trapped between the regulator and the appliance.
5. The manometer dial should move into the Green area of the scale.
6. Wait 2-5 minutes. If the dial remains in the green area without moving, the installation is leak-free.
7. If the dial moves into the yellow or blue area, the installation has a leak.
8. Use leak spray or a soap-water solution to identify the leak.
9. Do not use the gas appliance until all leaks are eliminated.
