How to Perform a Gas Leak Test
A gas leak test must be performed each time a hose and regulator are installed or the gas supply is changed. Apply soapy water to all connection points along the gas hose. Open the gas cylinder valve slowly. If bubbles form at a connection, there is a leak. Immediately shut off the gas and disconnect the appliance. Check that all seals are in place and in good condition. Replace any seals showing signs of deterioration. Reconnect the gas supply and perform the leak test again. If the leak persists, return the product to your authorized dealer.
Flame Stability
Ensure flame stability during use. WARNING! Uncontrolled flashback (combustion inside the burner or nozzle) can lead to dangerous operating conditions. In case of flashback, immediately shut off the gas supply by closing the cylinder valve first, then turning the control knob to the '•' position. After the flame is extinguished, remove the regulator and check the seal; replace if necessary.

Assembly of the Appliance
Deploying the Legs: Remove any loose parts. Turn the appliance upside down and lift each leg. You will hear a 'click' when the leg is correctly positioned.
Folding the Legs: Firmly hold the leg and push the release clip downwards (M). Push the legs inwards to their folded position. This should be done sequentially for optimal storage space, starting with the front left leg (1), then the front right leg (2), and finally the rear leg (3).
Connecting the Gas Supply
Hose Connection to Appliance: Connect the hose to the appliance and tighten to secure the connection. Do not twist or pinch the hose. Ensure it is kept away from the appliance body to prevent heat damage. Perform a gas leak test as described in the 'Gas Leaks' section.
Disconnecting and Replacing Gas Supply: Replace the gas cylinder outdoors and away from people. After use, turn the control knob to the '•' position and shut off the gas supply. When replacing an empty cylinder, ensure the gas valve is closed. Remove the regulator from the empty cylinder. Check seals before connecting a new cylinder. Attach the regulator to a full cylinder. Follow the same precautions and control procedures as when fitting a new gas cylinder.
Checking if Your Gas Cylinder is Empty: The empty weight of a gas cylinder is usually stamped on its collar or circular base. The weight of the cylinder indicates its current gas level.
Using the Appliance
Before first use, remove all protective packaging. Ensure all parts are in good working order before each use. Perform a gas leak test each time the gas supply is connected or changed. After a long period of disuse, inspect the appliance for insects, debris, and cobwebs that may affect gas flow. Use only on a level, firm surface. Do not move the appliance during use. Remove cooking surfaces when lighting the appliance. Use only cooking vessels with a diameter of 150 mm to 280 mm.
Lighting the Appliance with the Ignitor: Push and turn the control knob counter-clockwise to its highest position while pressing the ignitor button several times in quick succession to light the burner. If the gas does not ignite on the first spark, return the control knob to the '•' position before attempting to relight. If the gas does not ignite within two to three seconds, close the gas control valve by turning the control knob to the '•' position. Wait 30 seconds for any accumulated gas in the burner to dissipate. Repeat the procedure if necessary. The flame should normally ignite within the first two seconds.
Lighting the Appliance with a Barbecue Lighter: For a cold appliance, light from the top of the burner before installing the desired cooking surface. For a hot appliance, insert a barbecue lighter into one of the burner's air vents until it aligns with the burner. Do not place the lighter in the large opening directly under the burner. Once the barbecue lighter is in place, light it before pushing and turning the control knob counter-clockwise to light the gas burner.
REMARK: Once the appliance is lit, adjust the flame intensity by turning the control knob clockwise to decrease the flame and counter-clockwise to increase it. Flare-ups may occur if cooking fatty foods at too high a setting. If this happens, lower the heat until the flames disappear. After use, ensure the control knob is in the '•' (off) position and the flame is extinguished before disconnecting the gas supply.
GreenGrill Cooking Surfaces
CADAC | Dometic GreenGrill cooking surfaces feature a non-stick ceramic coating that is APFO-free and non-toxic for healthier cooking. The GreenGrill coating conducts heat better than ordinary non-stick coatings; use only 75% of your usual power setting. Never leave your cooking surface on the heat source without a layer of oil to prevent damage. Sunflower or rapeseed oil is recommended for frying due to their high smoke points. Olive oil is not recommended due to its lower smoke point, which can cause ingredients to stick or burn. Tip: Cook meat or fish at room temperature before frying to prevent sticking. The silicone basin and CADAC | Dometic brush (sold separately) are ideal for cleaning GreenGrill surfaces, allowing them to soak and remove stubborn food residues.
Preparing the Cooking Surface: Before first use, apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the entire cooking surface and heat over medium heat for two to three minutes. Allow to cool before washing with warm soapy water. Apply another thin layer of oil. The appliance is now ready for use.
Cleaning Your Cooking Surface: Always allow cooking surfaces to cool completely before immersing them in water. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive scouring pads. For stubborn stains, soak the cooking surface in warm water for a few minutes before attempting to wash. For tough stains, the CADAC oven cleaner can be used.
Storage
Allow the appliance to cool and clean it thoroughly before storing. Ensure the gas supply is disconnected before storing. Never store the appliance with the gas supply connected. Store the appliance and gas supply in a well-ventilated area, away from combustibles. Store gas bottles outdoors, never in a basement or garage.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your appliance and reduce the risk of incidents. It is recommended to have your appliance serviced by a technician every 12 months for efficient operation. All maintenance on this appliance should only be performed by an authorized technician. Regularly check the seals of all connections, and each time the gas bottle is refilled or attached. Clean your burner ports in case of excessive spillage.
Troubleshooting: It is recommended to clean or replace injectors every six months for efficient operation. If the appliance operates abnormally after storage and checks do not identify the problem, the injector may be blocked, indicated by a weaker yellow flame or no flame. Carefully remove and clean the injector to remove any foreign matter. Remove the injector using standard tools and blow to remove dirt. Alternatively, purchase new injectors from your local dealer. Do not attempt to mechanically clean the injector.
Replacing a Blocked Injector: Your appliance is equipped with an injector of a specific size to regulate the correct amount of gas. If the injector orifice is blocked, it can cause a weak flame or no flame. Avoid cleaning the injector with a metal rod or similar device, as this could damage the injector and pose a safety risk. To replace the injector, follow these steps:
- Remove the grease trap.
- Remove the three screws from the heat shield plate to extract the heat shield.
- Remove the two screws from the burner assembly to extract it, taking care not to damage the connected ignition wiring.
- Use a suitable wrench to remove the injector; avoid using pliers as this could damage the injector. Screw the new injector into the valve, ensuring not to overtighten to avoid damage.
Spare Parts
REMARK: Always use original spare parts. Contact your local supplier for assistance.
