Congratulations on purchasing the Akrapovič exhaust system, a product of Akrapovič d.d. Please read this entire installation manual carefully prior to installing and using the Akrapovič exhaust system.
Akrapovič exhaust systems should only be installed by persons skilled in motorcycle exhaust system installation and performance. The instructions provided in this manual should be followed to ensure proper installation and safe use. Akrapovič and/or its partners shall not be held liable for any damage or personal injury sustained as a result of improper installation or use and maintenance contrary to the instructions and warnings contained herein.

Your safety is our number one priority. Please ride your motorcycle responsibly and safely, and always obey local traffic rules.
Any modifications of the Akrapovič exhaust system or its improper installation, use or maintenance not in accordance with this Installation manual may result in severe damage to the exhaust system and/or engine, as well as personal injury. It may also affect the exhaust system's compliance with legal requirements, such as exhaust system's air and/or noise emissions, potentially rendering the motorcycle unsuitable for use on public roads.
The exhaust system may only be used in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Damage caused by improper installation, use, and maintenance is not covered by the Akrapovič warranty. Please refer to the enclosed warranty for terms.

Safety and Compliance Warning
Before removing the stock exhaust system and beginning the installation of your new Akrapovič exhaust:
- Verify that this manual is specific to your motorcycle model.
- Allow the exhaust and engine to cool down completely before beginning installation.
- Ensure the motorcycle is securely positioned to prevent tipping over.
- Check the parts received against the parts list on the Akrapovič website. Contact the retailer if any parts are missing.
- Secure your motorcycle's ground clearance. For advanced users, check spring preload settings.
- Every Akrapovič muffler has a unique serial number for authenticity. Verify your exhaust system is an original Akrapovič product.
The serial number position is indicated on the muffler's inlet pipe.

General Warning
Purchasers are responsible for informing themselves of and complying with applicable laws regarding air and/or noise emissions where the products are to be used. Information on compliance can be found on the product-related part of the Akrapovič website.
USA Warning
Consult appropriate laws in your area before installing any aftermarket part or system to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, especially concerning modifications to original equipment catalysts.
California Warning
California laws prohibit the use of aftermarket exhaust parts or systems that modify, remove, or replace original equipment catalysts unless an Executive Order has been issued by the California Air Resources Board or the part/system is used only on racing vehicles on closed courses.

Removal of Stock Exhaust System
The process of uninstalling the original exhaust system may vary. Please follow the original exhaust system manufacturer's instructions. Akrapovič shall not assume any liability or responsibility with regard to uninstalling your existing exhaust system.
Keep the stock or other exhaust system that you can use legally in circumstances where the Akrapovič exhaust system may not be used on certain roads or under certain conditions.
Tools and Equipment Required:
- T-handle 4 mm wrench
- T-handle 12 mm wrench
- Combination 12 mm wrench
- Combination 13 mm wrench
- T-handle 10 mm swivelling three hexagon wrench
- Torx 45 wrench
- Gloves
Step-by-Step Removal:
- Put the motorcycle on a central stand on a solid and flat surface.
- Loosen the marked clamp (Figure 1). Important: do not scratch or damage any part of the motorcycle or exhaust system.
- Unscrew the marked muffler's bracket bolt and remove the muffler off the motorcycle (Figure 2). Important: do not scratch or damage any part of the motorcycle or exhaust system.
Installation of the Akrapovič Exhaust System
- Correctly orient and hand tighten the spring hook clamp onto the outlet of the stock collector (Figure 3).
- Install Akrapovič graphite gasket and metal clamp, as shown (Figure 4, 5). Important: insert gaskets carefully and evenly. Hand tighten the metal clamp only.
- Correctly orient and position the carbon-fiber clamp and slide it onto the muffler (Figure 6, 7). Important: open the clamps slightly wider than the diameter of the outer sleeve of the mufflers to avoid scraping.
- Slide the muffler's inlet pipe all the way onto the stock collector outlet, attach the spring, and hand tighten the muffler clamp to the bracket using the bolt, washers, and nut from the Akrapovič installation kit (Figure 8). Important: do not scratch or damage any part of the motorcycle or exhaust system.
- Align the muffler in respect to the motorcycle and tighten the muffler clamp to the bracket to the specified torque (Figure 9). Important: do not scratch or damage any part of the motorcycle or exhaust system.
- Tighten the clamps to the specified torques (Figure 10).
Final Installation and Maintenance
Clean grease spots off all exhaust system surfaces after installation. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners.
- Muffler - titanium outer sleeve: Use a soft cloth sprayed with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (e.g., WD-40®).
- Muffler - carbon-fiber outer sleeve: Use a soft dry cloth sprayed with all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Muffler - carbon-fiber outlet cap: Use a soft dry cloth sprayed with all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Painted mufflers and parts: Use a soft cloth sprayed with all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Chrome plated mufflers and parts: Use a soft cloth sprayed with all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Stainless steel pipes: Use a soft cloth sprayed with a contact cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Titanium pipes: Use a soft cloth sprayed with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (e.g., WD-40®).
Periodically ensure all bolts and springs are sufficiently tight. Important: ensure all bolts are sufficiently tightened. If the exhaust system touches the cowling or other parts, adjust the exhaust system or contact an authorized dealer.
Caution: After running the engine for 30 minutes, retighten the bolts of the Akrapovič carbon-fiber heat shield!
Installation Tip: It is normal if white smoke comes out of the muffler during the first 100 km after replacement.
Installation Tip: A change in the color of the exhaust system is normal due to high temperatures.
Caution: DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE MUFFLER AT ANY TIME.
Important: DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE WHEEL CLEANERS OR ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS WHICH CONTAIN ACIDIC ADDITIVES TO CLEAN AKRAPOVIČ EXHAUST SYSTEMS.
Troubleshooting
