Additional Notes on Operation
Operating Temperature Range
Mode | Indoor Temperature | Outdoor Temperature |
---|---|---|
Cooling | Upper Limit: 32°C Lower Limit: 21°C | 46°C |
Heating | Upper Limit: 27°C Lower Limit: 5°C | 24°C -10°C |
The unit has a protective device that may prevent operation outside these ranges. Condensation may form on the air outlet in COOL or DRY mode if humidity exceeds 80%.
When Power Failure Occurs
The air conditioner remembers its settings. After power recovery, it will restart with the previous settings, except for timers, which need to be reset.
Preheating Function
In HEAT mode, the indoor fan may pause for 2-5 minutes after startup to prevent cold air from blowing.
De-icing Function
During HEAT operation, if ice forms on the outdoor heat exchanger, an automatic de-icing function runs for 5-10 minutes, stopping both fans. Operation resumes automatically afterward.
Heating Efficiency
The unit uses a heat pump. Heating efficiency depends on the outside temperature. An additional heater may be needed in very cold conditions. Warming the entire room takes time due to forced air circulation.
Tips on Saving Energy
- Set the correct temperature: Setting the thermostat 1°C higher in COOL mode or 2°C lower in HEAT mode can save approximately 10% power. Setting it lower than necessary in COOL mode increases consumption.
- Block direct sunlight and prevent drafts: Closing windows and doors reduces power consumption.
- Set proper airflow direction: Optimize air circulation.
- Keep filters clean: Ensures efficient operation.
- Take advantage of the timer off function: Use timers to manage operation.
- Disconnect power: Unplug the unit when not in use for extended periods, as it consumes a small amount of standby power.
Using the Remote Control
Loading Batteries
Use two AAA (1.5V) batteries. Remove the cover, insert batteries ensuring correct polarity, and reinstall the cover. The display shows "AM 6:00" when batteries are installed correctly. Batteries typically last one year. Always replace both batteries with the same type. If the remote malfunctions, remove and reinsert batteries after 30 seconds. Remove batteries for long periods of non-use. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
How to Use the Remote Control
Point the remote at the unit's signal receiver window and press buttons. The unit beeps upon receiving a signal. Ensure nothing blocks the receiver window. The remote operates up to 7 meters away. Avoid direct sunlight on the receiver window, as it can affect operation. Fluorescent lamps or signals from other remote controls may interfere. Protect the remote from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and shock.
