Furuno NavNet TZT3 Factory Reset Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for performing a factory reset on your Furuno NavNet TZT3 system. It is crucial to save all valuable user data, such as waypoints, routes, and tracks, before proceeding with a reset. Refer to Chapter 8 of the Operator's Manual or Chapter 6 of the onboard eGuide for instructions on saving user data.
Performing the Factory Reset
Follow these steps to initiate the factory reset:
- Turn on the TZT12F/16F/19F and allow it to fully boot up normally.
- Navigate to the "HOME" screen, then select "SETTINGS", and finally "INITIAL SETUP".
- Select "Service" and enter the password "FURUNO SERVICE" (ensure all caps and include the space).
- When the Service menu appears, select "CANCEL" to bypass the factory touch pad and enter the service mode. A prompt may appear stating "This is Entering of Factory Mode. Cancel is Serviceman Mode."
- Once in the service menu, select "UTILITY".
- From the utility menu, select "Factory Default".
- In the reset menu, touch the pull-down arrow and select "Factory Default (Delete All Settings)". A warning will appear: "You are about to clear the unit. Ensure you have backed up any desired user data!!"
- Confirm the action by hitting the "RESET" selection.
- The system will ask "Are you sure?". Select "OK".
- When the system indicates "delete succeeded", select the "OK" button.
- Select "EXIT" to close the reset menu.
- Select "POWER OFF" from the Service Menu.
The unit is now ready to use. You can restore any settings or waypoints you wish.
