  3. Set all controls as follows: EQ and PAN/BAL centered, all others down/off.
  4. Turn the mixer ON.

  8. Slowly raise the MAIN MIX faders or PHONES/CTRL ROOM knob to the desired level.
  9. Press the MAIN button on each channel to assign it to the MAIN MIX.
  10. Adjust the relative level of microphones and instruments by raising each CHANNEL FADER.
  11. Adjust the left-right position of each channel in the stereo field using the PAN or BAL knob.
  12. Adjust the COMP knob to add compression to an input if necessary.
  13. Use the channel AUX knobs and master AUX SEND knobs to send channel signals to an effects processor or stage monitor connected to the AUX SEND jacks. If used for effects, route the signal back from the processor to the AUX RETURN jacks.
  14. For live applications, adjust the overall output from the mixer to the power amp or powered speakers by raising the MAIN MIX faders. If the red CLIP LEDs on the VU METER light up, lower the MAIN MIX faders.

  6. Readjust each channel's FX knob to ensure the correct amount of effect is added. If the OL (overload) meter segment lights up, turn the FX AUX SEND knob down.
