Starlink Consumer Service Terms for Greece
These Terms govern the provision of two-way satellite-based internet service (“Services”) and a Starlink antenna, Wi-Fi router and mount (“Starlink Kit” or “Kit”) by Starlink Internet Services Limited to customers in Greece.
1. Deposit
If Starlink Services are unavailable in your region, a deposit payment grants priority for securing services when available. This deposit includes taxes and will be applied to the Starlink Kit cost. The deposit is fully refundable before Starlink ships the Kit, but requesting a refund forfeits priority. Placing a deposit does not obligate Starlink to provide the Kit or Services, and prices are subject to change. Starlink Kit designs and Services may change due to technological innovation. Deposits are not held in escrow and do not accrue interest. Service availability dates are estimates and subject to change, with delivery dependent on regulatory approvals.
2. Agreement to Purchase or Rent the Starlink Kit and Services
There is no minimum contract term for Services. Customers may cancel at any time. Reselling Services or purchasing excessive accessories without authorization is prohibited and may result in service termination. For customers purchasing a Starlink Kit, payment is due at the time of order, and title transfers upon delivery. For customers renting a Starlink Kit, an activation fee is due at order placement. The first monthly rental fee is charged upon activation or 30 days after shipment. Subsequent fees are charged on the anniversary of the Payment Due Date. A penalty applies if a rented Kit is not returned undamaged within 30 days of cancellation. Rented Kits remain Starlink property and may be new or refurbished. Rental options may vary by location. Monthly Service subscriptions are authorized for payment upon activation or 30 days after shipment. Additional charges may apply for extra data under certain plans, which are automatically billed once opted-in. Payment methods include bank-to-bank payments, credit, or debit cards. Shipping and handling charges apply and are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges. Bills are provided monthly via the Starlink Customer Portal, where disputes should be handled. Undisputed amounts must be paid on time to avoid service suspension. Software installed on the Starlink Kit is licensed, not sold, and is subject to specific terms. An “Outside Region Fee” may apply to Kits activated outside their original region of purchase.
3. Starlink Kit Installation
Customers are responsible for installing the Starlink Kit in a location with a clear view of the sky, following guidelines in the Starlink App and Install Guide. Modifications that alter transmission characteristics or contradict the Install Guide are prohibited. Starlink may void the Limited Warranty if installation or modification degrades Service. Starlink is not obligated to reimburse expenses for property alterations. Potential risks associated with permanent roof or vehicle mount installations should be considered. Customers must ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning, and other regulations, and obtain necessary permits. In-motion use of Kits is prohibited unless specifically designated and approved. Using a Kit on any aircraft is prohibited. Unauthorized in-motion use voids the warranty and may lead to agreement termination. For designated in-motion Kits, proper precautions for secure mounting on a structurally sound surface are required to prevent accidents.
4. Fixed Service Plans
Residential Lite Service Plan: Designed for personal, family, or household use at a fixed land-based location. Includes unlimited “Deprioritized” data, which may result in slower speeds in congested areas or during peak hours. Not permitted for business or enterprise uses. Users can upgrade to other plans. Mini Kits may not be compatible with this plan depending on the country.
Residential Service Plan: Designed for personal, family, or household use at a fixed land-based location. Includes unlimited “Residential” data. Slower speeds and reduced performance may occur during network congestion or peak hours. Not permitted for business or enterprise uses. Supplemental customer support for business/government requests is not available for this plan. Mini Kits may not be compatible with this plan depending on the country.
Priority Service Plan: Designed for high-demand users, businesses, and institutions at fixed land-based locations. Provides a set amount of “Priority” data each month, which has network precedence for faster and more consistent speeds. Unused Priority data does not rollover. If Priority data is exhausted, users receive unlimited Standard data, which may result in slower speeds.
5. Mobility Service Plans
Roam Service Plans: Allow access to Services at any destination with active Starlink coverage for low-demand, land-based use, such as travel or camping. Services can be used in motion (up to 100 MPH or 160 KPH) and paused/un-paused. Roam Unlimited Service charges apply when un-paused. Use in a country different from the account address may require updating the registered address. Services may be suspended if the new location is not authorized. Roam Unlimited Services are not permitted for business or enterprise uses. Network management measures may be applied for excessive bandwidth use. Roam 50GB Plan offers a set amount of data per month; unused data does not rollover. Roam Data is typically deprioritized compared to other Starlink plans. Stated speeds are not guaranteed.
Mobile Priority Service Plans: Available for “Maritime”, “Mobility”, and “Roam” users, providing global land and ocean access for high bandwidth or in-motion use. Services can be paused/un-paused, with charges applying when un-paused. Use in a country different from the shipping address may require updating the registered address. Mobile Priority data has network precedence for faster speeds. Unused Mobile Priority data does not rollover. If Mobile Priority data is exhausted, users receive unlimited Mobile data (with slower speeds) for inland coverage, or may be unable to connect to the internet for ocean coverage, requiring purchase of additional data. Supplemental customer support for enterprise/government requests is available only for Mobile Priority plans. Starlink does not guarantee availability of Roam or Mobile Priority Services.
6. Changes, Cancellation, Returns, Transfers and Termination
Starlink may change Service Plans, prices, Terms, or Kit versions with 30 days' notice. Continued use of Services implies agreement to changes. Customers can cancel Services anytime via their Starlink account. To avoid the next month's billing, cancellation must occur before the invoice statement generation. Rented Kits must be returned in good condition within 30 days of cancellation or the full retail price will be charged. Refunds are provided as per specific sections. Kits and accessories purchased can be returned within 30 days of the Payment Due Date for a full refund. Rented Kits returned also receive a refund for the first month's service fee or rental fee. Return instructions are available in the Starlink Customer Portal. Starlink Kits may only be rented for Residential Service Plans, with potential exceptions for Priority, Roam, or Mobile Priority plans. Services and Kits can be transferred to another party if the account is paid-in-full and in good standing, with network capacity. Transferring Services has specific time limitations after purchase or activation. Starlink may terminate or suspend Services for violations of Terms, legal orders, technical/security issues, failure to obtain governmental authorizations, illegal activities, privacy policy violations, non-payment, or for convenience with notice.
7. Limited Warranty, Disclaimers, Remedies, and Liabilities
The Starlink Kit and Services are subject to a Limited Warranty. Starlink provides the Kit and Services “AS IS,” without express warranties. All implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed. Starlink's liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid by the customer over the preceding six months. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted and excludes special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Customers assume all risk associated with the use of Services and the Starlink Kit. Services are not intended for mission-critical or safety-of-life applications.
8. Compliance
Customers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Starlink processes personal information according to its Privacy Policy. Use of Services must not violate laws, policies, or third-party rights, and must not interfere with network users. Compliance with International Trade Controls, including export control and sanctions, is required. Starlink Kits and Services are commercial communication products and not designed for weaponry. Modifications for military end-uses may be subject to U.S. export control laws. Starlink enforces cybersecurity measures. Customers agree to indemnify Starlink against claims arising from their use of the account or Services.
9. Indemnification
Customers agree to compensate and hold Starlink harmless against all claims, liability, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to these Terms, account use, and Service use, including breaches of Terms, negligent acts, or wrongful acts.
10. No Unauthorized Transfers; Assignments, or Acts of Agency
Agreements, software, or access to Services cannot be assigned, sold, or transferred without Starlink's consent. Unauthorized transfers are void and may lead to termination. If a Starlink Kit is stolen or removed without authorization, immediate notice is required via the Starlink Customer Portal to avoid liability for unauthorized use. Customers are liable for charges incurred by others. Starlink may assign its rights and obligations to any entity. Acceptance of assignment is implied by continued use unless terminated. Accounts must be in the customer's own name. Agents or representatives must be approved by Starlink. Warranties are made regarding not purchasing Starlink via a commercial third-party or using it as part of a bundled offering. Failure to comply may result in termination.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
For Services provided on Earth or in orbit, the Agreement and disputes are governed by Greek Law and subject to the jurisdiction of district courts in Athens, Greece. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform. For Services provided on Mars, disputes will be settled through self-governing principles.
12. General Provisions
Customer support is available via the Starlink Customer Portal. If any term is invalid or unenforceable, other terms remain in effect. Customers must be at least 18 years old to enroll. Customers should keep copies of Terms and sales receipts. Starlink may change Terms with 30 days' notice; continued use signifies agreement. Customers consent to receive notices electronically. No waiver of any breach or right by Starlink will be construed as a waiver of any other breach or right, unless provided in writing by an authorized representative.
