Router Overview
The ASUS TUF-AX4200 router features several ports and indicators for connectivity and status monitoring. Below is a description of each component:
- 1. Power LED: Indicates the power status of the router.
- 2. 2.4GHz LED: Shows the status of the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.
- 3. 5GHz LED: Shows the status of the 5GHz Wi-Fi band.
- 4. LAN 1~4 LEDs: Indicate the status of the wired Ethernet connections (ports 1 through 4).
- 5. 2.5G/1G WAN LED: Indicates the status of the 2.5 Gigabit or 1 Gigabit WAN connection.
- 6. USB 3.2 Gen 1 port: For connecting USB devices such as external storage.
- 7. Reset button: Press and hold to reset the router to factory default settings.
- 8. WPS button: Used for Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to easily connect devices.
- 9. 2.5G/1G WAN port: Connects the router to your modem or your Internet Service Provider's network.
- 10. LAN 1~4 ports: Connect wired devices (computers, game consoles, etc.) to the router using Ethernet cables.
- 11. Power (DCIN) port: Connect the included AC adapter here to power the router.
- 12. Power button: Turns the router on or off.
Setup Steps
Step 1: Reboot Modem
Reboot your modem and ensure its connection is ready before proceeding.
Notice: Unplug the modem from its power source for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
Step 2: Prepare Router
Prepare your ASUS router and power it on. Connect the router's WAN port to your modem using an Ethernet cable.
Once the WAN LED indicator on the router turns ON, it signifies that the router is ready for setup.
Step 3: Download ASUS Router App
Scan the provided QR codes to download the ASUS Router app for guided setup.
The app is available for both iOS and Android devices. You can find it on the App Store and Google Play.
