Getting Started
Step 1: Reboot Modem
Reboot your modem and ensure its connection is ready. Notice: Unplug the modem for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
Step 2: Connect and Power On Router
Wire up your ASUS router and power it on. Once the status light is solid blue, it's ready for setup.
Step 3: Download ASUS Router App
Scan the QR code and download the ASUS Router app for setup. For more information, please scan the QR code on the cover.
Router Overview
The ASUS TUF-AX4200 router features several ports and indicators:
- 1. Power LED: Indicates the router's power status.
- 2. 2.4GHz LED: Shows activity on the 2.4GHz WiFi band.
- 3. 5GHz LED: Shows activity on the 5GHz WiFi band.
- 4. LAN 1~4 LEDs: Indicate activity for the LAN ports.
- 5. 2.5G WAN LED: Indicates activity for the 2.5G WAN port.
- 6. USB 3.2 Gen 1 port: For connecting USB devices.
- 7. Reset button: Used to restore the router to factory default settings.
- 8. WPS button: For Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
- 9. 2.5G/1G WAN port: Connects to your modem or internet source.
- 10. LAN 1-4 ports: For connecting wired devices to the network.
- 11. DCIN port: Connects to the power adapter.
- 12. Power button: Turns the router on or off.
