Maintenance

Note
The appearance of bright or dark spots on the LCD screen is a common characteristic of Active-Matrix technology and does not indicate a defect.

Note: The top LED indicator lights green when the device is powered on. The bottom LED indicator lights red when the device is connected to the power adapter and turns green when fully charged.
Connection and Setup
Connecting the Power Cable
- Connect the power cable to the DC IN 12V jack.
- Plug the power adapter into a power outlet.
Connecting Headphones
Connect your headphones to the Aux output. Note: When headphones are plugged in, the device's speakers will be muted.
Connecting to a Source via HDMI
Ensure both the DA100D and the source device are turned off before connecting or disconnecting the HDMI cable.
Connecting to a Source via AV
Ensure both the DA100D and the source device are turned off before connecting or disconnecting the AV cable.
Operation
Startup
- Connect the power adapter to the device and plug it into a power outlet.
- Turn on the power switch on the side of the device. Alternatively, if the device is in standby mode, press the power button on the remote control.

Channel Manager
The Channel Manager allows you to delete, move, set favorites, and skip channels.
LCN (Logical Channel Number)
To enable or disable LCN, navigate to 'Sender' (Channel) in the menu and toggle the LCN option. For Germany/Austria, it is recommended to disable LCN.

Display Settings

Access the 'Audio' menu via the main menu to adjust audio mode, bass, balance, and surround sound settings.
Time Settings
Access the 'Time' menu via the main menu to adjust sleep timer, auto sleep, time zone, and clock settings. In DTV mode, the time is set automatically.
System Settings
Access the 'System' menu via the main menu to adjust OSD language, audio language, subtitle language, image invert, and perform a factory reset.
Factory Reset
To reset the device to factory settings, navigate to 'Factory Reset' in the System menu and confirm.

Troubleshooting
- No Picture and Sound: Check power connection. Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds.
- No Picture: Rescan channels and check region settings.
- No Sound: Check volume settings. If using headphones, test them on another device. Ensure the cable is securely connected. The Analog TV mode might be selected. Reset to factory settings and try again.
- Picture Freezes, Sound Distorts: Signal is too weak. Check antenna position and consider a signal booster or rooftop antenna. Avoid using the device near motors, trains, or power lines.
- No Signal: Check antenna position and consider a signal booster or rooftop antenna.
- Darkened Picture: Adjust color settings. Incorrect Analog TV format settings may be the cause.
- Snowy Picture / Ants: Signal is too weak. Check antenna position and consider a signal booster or rooftop antenna.
- Display Blinking, No Picture: Check antenna position and consider a signal booster or rooftop antenna.

Warranty
This product comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty covering material and workmanship defects. The warranty is valid in the country of purchase and covers the main product, not accessories. It does not cover damage from accidental drops, natural disasters, or unauthorized repairs. Contact customer service before returning the product. The product must be returned in its original packaging with all accessories and a copy of the receipt.

Note on Signal Strength: Ensure adequate signal strength for digital TV reception. A rooftop antenna may be required. August International is not responsible for poor reception due to weak signals.
