USING THE CONTROL PANEL
The control panel features a digital display and several buttons: HIGH, LOW, TEMP, TIME, START/STOP, PRESSURE RELEASE, and STEAM. Users select functions and adjust time and temperature using these controls.
Function Buttons: HIGH, LOW, TEMP, TIME, START/STOP, PRESSURE RELEASE, STEAM.
Operating Buttons: TEMP, TIME, START/STOP.
Function Selection: Press the FUNCTION button to cycle through available functions.
Setting Time: Press the TIME button to adjust the cooking time.
Setting Temperature: Press the TEMP button to adjust the cooking temperature.
Start/Stop: Press to start or stop the cooking process.
Pressure Release: Press to release pressure from the unit.
Steam: Press to activate the steam function.
Note: The display will show the selected function and time. The unit will begin cooking after a few seconds.
OPERATING DETAILS
Attaching the Condensation Collector: A diagram shows the condensation collector sliding onto the rear of the main unit.
Inserting the Inner Pot: A diagram illustrates placing the inner pot into the base unit.
Using the Pressure Lid: Place the pressure lid on the unit and turn clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the pressure release valve is in the closed position (pointing upwards) for pressure cooking. A diagram shows the pressure lid being placed on the unit and turned clockwise to lock. The pressure release valve is depicted in the closed position.
Installing the Sealing Ring: Place the sealing ring into the lid. A diagram shows the sealing ring being installed inside the pressure lid.
Installing the Steam Vent: Screw the steam vent onto the pressure release valve. A diagram shows the steam vent being screwed onto the pressure release valve.
Note: Refer to the recipe book for specific cooking times and temperatures. The unit will automatically switch to keep warm mode after cooking is complete.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Follow these steps before using your Ninja Foodi for the first time:
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Wash the inner pot, pressure lid, sealing ring, and condensation collector in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. A diagram depicts washing the inner pot and the pressure lid in a sink with soap and water.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Assemble the unit as shown in the diagrams. A diagram illustrates the assembly of the main unit with its various components.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wash the inner pot, pressure lid, sealing ring, and condensation collector in warm, soapy water. They are also dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. A diagram shows wiping the heating element with a damp cloth.
- Store the unit in a clean, dry place.
Note: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing. The sealing ring may retain odors. It is recommended to have a separate sealing ring for savory and sweet dishes.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
- Problem: Unit does not turn on.
- Solution: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the unit and a working outlet. Check your home's circuit breaker.
- Problem: Unit is not building pressure.
- Solution: Ensure the pressure lid is properly closed and locked. Check that the sealing ring is installed correctly. Make sure the pressure release valve is in the closed position. Ensure there is enough liquid in the inner pot (minimum 1 cup).
- Problem: Steam is escaping from the sides of the lid.
- Solution: Ensure the sealing ring is properly installed. Check that the pressure lid is closed and locked. If steam is escaping from the pressure release valve, this is normal during pressure build-up.
- Problem: Food is burnt or sticking to the bottom of the inner pot.
- Solution: Ensure there is enough liquid in the inner pot. Do not overfill the inner pot. Use the appropriate cooking time and temperature.
- Problem: Unit displays an error code.
- Solution: Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings and solutions.

Note: In order to ensure the highest possible standard for refurbished items, all units are thoroughly inspected as part of the process. For this item, water may be used during the refurbishing process and so; you may notice some condensation in the water reservoir. It is recommended to rinse the water reservoir with fresh water prior to its first use.
