Installation Guide
Step 1: Turn Off Circuit Breaker
Locate your light's control in the circuit breaker and turn it off. Verify the power is off by attempting to flip your light switch a few times.
Step 2: Find the Neutral Wire and Label Wires
In the wall cassette, look for one or more white wires secured with a wire nut. Determine if a neutral wire is present.
If a neutral wire cannot be found: Please check another wall cassette for a neutral wire. If a neutral wire is still not found, proceed to Step 3 using the single wire connection method.
Step 3: Install Smart Switch
Use wire nuts to connect the switch wires to your home wires according to the diagram. Ensure correct matching of line and load wires. Remove protective stickers, screw the switch into the wall, and attach the faceplate.
Wiring with Live and Neutral Wires:
Connect the Line wire to the 'L' terminal, the Neutral wire to the 'N' terminal, and the Load wire to the 'LOAD' terminal. SAFETY NOTICE: Cut off the power before installation.
Wiring with Single Live Wire:
Connect the Line wire to the 'L' terminal and the Load wire to the 'LOAD' terminal. SAFETY NOTICE: Cut off the power before installation. No neutral wire is required.
Note for Single Live Wire Installation: If the lights flicker, connect a CBB capacitor across the first load terminals. For optimal performance and to prevent bulb flicker, it is recommended to connect resistive loads, such as incandescent lamps, rather than linear fixtures for the L1 load.
Step 4: Turn On Circuit Breaker
Restore power from the circuit breaker. Test the switch by pressing it a few times to ensure it functions correctly.
Step 5: Check the Wi-Fi Light
Tap 'NEXT' when the Wi-Fi indicator light blinks. The indicator light should be rapidly blinking (2 times per second) to confirm it's ready for pairing.
