Sensors
Sensor Name | Function Description |
---|---|
Navigation Module | Uses laser triangulation to measure distances to surrounding objects, creating a spatial map of the environment. Measurement range is 8m. |
Obstacle Avoidance Module | Uses infrared transmitters and receivers to measure distance to obstacles via signal reflection. Maximum detection range is approximately 10cm. |
Anti-drop Sensors | Uses infrared distance measurement to detect the distance between the bottom of the DEEBOT and the surface. Prevents falls down stairs. Trigger distance is approximately 60mm. |
Carpet Detection Sensor | Uses ultrasonic waves to detect carpets by absorption. Identifies carpets based on reflected energy levels. |
Edge Sensor | Uses infrared distance measurement to detect objects to the right, enabling edge cleaning to avoid missed spots or collisions. |
Collision Sensor | Detects when a transmitted signal is blocked by an obstacle, allowing the robot to avoid collisions. |
Preparation for Cleaning
- Prepare the room by moving furniture, such as chairs, to their proper places.
- For the first use, ensure all doors in the rooms are open so the robot can fully explore your home.
- If necessary, install a physical barrier at the edge of a step to prevent the robot from falling.
- To improve cleaning efficiency, clear the floor of loose items such as cables, rags, and slippers.
- Tuck carpet fringes under the carpet.
- Avoid standing in narrow spaces like doorways and corridors, and ensure you do not obstruct the robot's path when it is identifying areas.
Quick Start Guide
- Installation: Remove all protective materials before use. A "click" sound indicates correct installation.
- Docking Station Placement: Keep the area around the docking station clear of objects, especially those with reflective surfaces. It is recommended to place the docking station on a hard floor to utilize all DEEBOT functions. Ensure clearance: at least 0.5m (1.64 ft) on the sides and 1.5m (4.92 ft) in front.
- Outlet Setup: Remove the protective film and insert the adhesive end into the mounting holes (for homes with baseboards).
Using the ECOVACS HOME App
For full functionality, manage your robot using the ECOVACS HOME app. Scan the QR code located under the robot's top cover to download the app, or search for "ECOVACS HOME" in your app store.
Wi-Fi Requirements:
- Use a 2.4 GHz or 2.4/5 GHz mixed network.
- Your router must support 802.11 b/g/n and IPv4.
- Do not use a hidden network.
- Do not use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or proxy server.
- Use WPA and WPA2 security with TKIP, PSK, AES/CCMP encryption. WEP EAP is not supported.
- Use Wi-Fi channels 1-11 in North America and channels 1-13 in other regions.
- If using a network repeater, the network name (SSID) and password must match your main network.
- Please enable WPA2 on your router.
Wi-Fi Indicator Status:
- Slowly blinking: Connecting to the app.
- Rapidly blinking: Disconnected from Wi-Fi.
- Solid: Connected to Wi-Fi.
Smart features like remote start, voice control, 2D/3D map display, and personalized cleaning require the ECOVACS HOME app. You must agree to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement to enable these features. Basic functions can still be used manually without app agreement.
Charging the DEEBOT
Short press the button to recall the DEEBOT to the docking station for charging. The charging process takes approximately 6.5 hours.
Operating the DEEBOT
- For mapping, remove the mopping pad disc/sponge.
- When creating a map for the first time, follow DEEBOT's instructions to resolve minor issues.
- Troubleshooting common issues: If the DEEBOT gets stuck under furniture, try lifting the furniture, covering the bottom of the furniture, or setting up a virtual boundary in the app.
- Before the first use, ensure the DEEBOT is connected to the charging station and fully charged. Short press the button to start cleaning and mapping.
- Notes:
- Do not frequently remove the mopping pad.
- Do not use cloths or other items to clean the mopping pad plates.
- Replace the mopping pad when the ECOVACS HOME app notifies you.
