Highlights

This Android 14 AOSP release 14-15-22.00-UN-U40-STD-NEM-04 covers the MC3400, MC3450, MC9400, TC53e and TC58e family of products.

Resolved Issues

• SPR-56634 - Resolved an issue where notification bar could be pulled down after long pressing the power button despite disabling Notification pulldown from MX.
• SPR-56231 - Resolved issue where devices are affected with the memory running out of space due to camera core dump.

• MX 14.0
  • Access Manager adds the ability to:
    • Individually control device-user access to Accessibility and Network settings in the Android Settings panel.
• MX 14.2
  • Access Manager adds to:
    • Access Permissions the ability to use Android "exact alarm" APIs and to read (and optionally write) Android systems settings.
    • Keymapping Manager adds support for:
      • Channel Switch and Alert Button Key Identifiers in Zebra's new device designed for First Responders.
• Mxproxy
  • Screen to turn blank when device mounted vehicle is in motion.

Resolved Issues

• SPR-56352 - Resolved an issue where the Touch and Hold delay functionality was not working in MX13.5.
• SPR-56195 - Resolved AppMgr was not able to install xapks.
• SPR-56084 - Resolved StageNow default log path is different from A13.
• SPR-56202 - Resolved an issue for UiMgr Where keyboard languages were not getting set.
• SPR-55800 - Resolved an issue wherein SMARTMU Voice Analysis / Roam Analysis on middleware crash and bug fixes.

New Features

• Restriction for skip setup wizard

  Due to new mandatory privacy requirements from Google, the Setup Wizard Bypass feature has been discontinued on devices running Android 13 and later. Consequently, it is now restricted to skip the Setup Wizard screen, and the StageNow barcode will not function during the Setup Wizard, displaying a toast message stating, "Not supported."

  If the Setup Wizard has already been completed and its data was configured to persist on the device in the past, there is no need to repeat this process following an Enterprise Reset.

• MC3450 is the NPI program for A14 4490. This is the first SW release for MC3450 product.

Resolved Issues

• This is the first Android 14 GMS release for MC3400, MC3450, MC9400, MC9450, PS30, TC53e, TC58e, WT5400 and WT6400 family of products.

Device Support

This release supports the MC3400, MC3450, MC9400, TC53e and TC58e family of products. Please see device compatibility details under Addendum Section.

Known Constraints

• Delta OTA packages are not supported in Recovery mode. To apply Delta OTA packages, use StageNow/MDM solution.
• Zebra DHCP options is not supported on dongle which is based on r8152 driver.
• NFC Host card emulation (HCE) feature is not supported in this SW release of TC58e and PS30. The feature will be enabled in future Android 14 releases.
• 4K video resolution is not supported on this SW release, using the native video player.
• StayLinked SmartTE client can only be upgraded via the client distributed directly from StayLinked Corporation. Play Store version cannot be installed over it.
