Lifeguard Update 13-42-03.00-TN-U00-STD-GSE-04

This LG patch is applicable for 13-39-21.00-TN-U00-STD-GSE-04 version.

• Added support to display ZVC UI in French (Canada).
• Added support for MDM to handle mute and vibrate usage enable & disable separately.
• MX 14.2 Access Manager adds the ability to:
  • Access Permissions: the ability to use Android "exact alarm" APIs and to read (and optionally write) Android systems settings.
• MX 14.2 Wireless Manager adds the ability to:
  • Select "pass-through antenna" settings on the device when used with external antenna(s).
• MX 14.2 Audio Volume UI Manager adds the ability to:
  • Enable/Disable Mute state control by the device user.
  • Enable/Disable Vibrate state control by the device user.
• MX 14.0 Bluetooth Manager adds the ability to:
  • Set individual Bluetooth Profiles as active or inactive.

• SPR-56634: Resolved an issue where notification bar could be pulled down after long pressing the power button despite disabling Notification pulldown from MX.
• SPR-54927: UI Mgr External KB Layout not taking affect.
• SPR-55959: Add support of smart leash feature for new Device Guardian application.
• SPR-55769: Resolved an issue for display size settings via StageNow to match the UI screen settings.
• SPR-54927: Resolved an issue wherein some of the external keyboard layout were not getting set same as locale settings.
• SPR-56195: Resolved AppMgr was not able to install xapks.
• SPR-56104: Resolved CertMgrMgr was throwing error on installing .crt certificates.
• SPR-56084: Resolved StageNow default log path is different from A13.

Usage Notes

• To update from A13 to A14 release, user must follow the below step: Device must have A13 March 2025 LG BSP Image or a greater A13 BSP version installed which is available on Zebra.com Portal.

LifeGuard Update 13-39-21.00-TN-U00-STD-GSE-04

This LG patch is applicable for 13-36-23.00-TN-U00-STD-GSE-04 version.

New Features

• Restriction for skip setup wizard: Due to new mandatory privacy requirements from Google, the Setup Wizard Bypass Feature has been discontinued on devices running Android 13 and later. Consequently, it is now restricted to skip the Setup Wizard screen, and the StageNow barcode will not function during the Setup Wizard, displaying a toast message stating “Not supported."
• If the Setup Wizard has already been completed and its data was configured to persist on the device in the past, there is no need to repeat this process following an Enterprise Reset.

MX 14.1

• Access Manager adds the ability to:
  • Control device-user access to the Zebra RxLogger diagnostics utilit on the device.
  • Skip Set up wizard no longer supported in first boot and setup wizard needs to be configured manually.

MX 14.0

• Access Manager adds the ability to:
  • Individually control device-user access to Accessibility and Network settings in the Android Settings panel.
• App Manager adds the ability to:
  • Use the App Feature parameter to automatically launch an app or reboot the Device after installation.
• Display Manager adds the ability to:
  • Control the Secondary Monitor Auto-rotation when a device is placed in a cradle connected to a monitor.
  • Specify a video file(MP4) in the Screen Saver Path for display on the device.
• UI Manager adds the ability to:
  • Select a Navigation Method for switching between screens on a device.
  • Control Color Inversion on the device.
  • Control TalkBack feature, which speaks words displayed on the device screen.

WWAN

Wireless Analyzer (Cellular):

• Battery Info on the UI is not updating properly and Intermittent duplicate events OOS, Data disconnection being posted only during radio power off.
• Synchronization issue between Analyzer and cloud causing Initial events device info, subscription info not being posted to cloud if the Analyzer is kept opened while performing ZDNA registration.

Scanner Framework

• Added support to Zebra POS Scanner/Scale.

Zebra Data Services

• Added feature to measure battery consumption per application.

MX 13.2

• Feature vibrate icon enable/disable allows the device admin to control the state and status of the vibrate icon on status bar of the device. Usage details: https://techdocs.zebra.com/mx/audiovoluimgr/.
• Added a new MX feature which allows to show/hide the taskbar shortcuts which appear on the bottom of the screen in large screen UI.
• Added new MX feature to enable/disable write access to Android/data and Android/obb folders of the device, when connected via MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).

UI Manager

• Added a feature to control Large-screen Taskbar usage, which displays recent and pinned apps, plus a link to the app library.
• Added a feature to control usage of the Active App List UI in the Notification panel on the device, potentially allowing the user to terminate apps running on the device.
• Identify external keyboard names using wildcard characters.
• Disabled MHS and setting for VZW Carrier.

DataWedge

• Added support for Digital Link parsing for GS1 barcodes in DataWedge

ZVA

• Smart leash feature support for device tracker application.
• Added support device discovery, connection state.

Wireless Analyzer

• Improved analysis reports and error handling for Roaming and Voice Features, support for WPA3, 6E and MultiBSSID bug fix.

Known Constraints

• DHCP Option 119 & Auto PAC Proxy feature is currently not supported in this release. Zebra is working on enabling these 2 features in future Android 13 releases.
• Ethernet configuration static to DHCP is not supported via Mx in this release.
• To apply Delta OTA packages, use StageNow/MDM solution. Delta OTA packages are not supported in Recovery mode.
• Data will not be Persisted if we upgrade to this A13 image from A11 image with greater SPL Version .
• Upgrading to this A13 OS version from A11 will not work on 1mbps network until this issue is fixed in A11 image.
• In mirror mode if device and external display resolution are different, UI flicker will be observed when Undock/dock the device.
• OTA update from AB - /storage/usbotg/ will take more than 2 minutes to initiate.
• In landscape mode when display and font is set to maximum, Lock icon will not be visible
• Wireless insights and wireless analyzer are not supported in this release. will be supported in a later SW Update
• Workstation Connect is not supported on this release, compatibility with this solution will be introduced on an upcoming release.
