DAB BPH/BMH/DPH/DMH Wet Rotor Circulators

Technical Data

The DAB BPH, BMH, DPH, and DMH series are wet rotor circulators designed for heating and air conditioning systems. They offer an operating range from 1.5 to 78 m³/h with a head of up to 18 metres.

Liquid Temperature Range:

  • Three-phase versions: -10°C to +120°C (specific models: BPH/DPH 150/340.65 T, BPH/DPH 150/360.80 T, BPH/DPH 150-180/280.50 T, BPH/DPH 180/340.65 T, BPH/DPH 180/360.80 T: -10°C to +110°C).

Pumped Liquid: Clean, free of solids and mineral oils, non-viscous, chemically neutral, similar to water (glycol up to 30%).

Maximum Operating Pressure: 10 bar (1000 kPa).

Flanges: Standard DN 80 in PN 6 / PN 10 (4 holes). Also available DN 80 in PN 10 / PN 16 (8 holes).

Installation: Recommended with a horizontal motor axis, on the delivery or return piping. The suction port should be close to the expansion vessel, above the boiler level, and away from bends or elbows to prevent turbulence and noise.

Special Executions: Alternative voltages and frequencies are available upon request.

Accessories: Available for DN 40, DN 50, DN 65, DN 80 in PN 6 / PN 10 (4 slots).

Diagrams: The document includes diagrams illustrating the general configuration of BPH/BMH and DPH/DMH models, showing key dimensions and components.

Applications

These pumps are designed for circulating water in residential and industrial collective heating and air conditioning systems. They are available in both single and twin versions.

Construction Features

The circulators feature a single body comprising a cast iron hydraulic section and a wet rotor motor with an aluminium motor casing. They have flanged suction and delivery ports with threaded connectors for control manometers. The impeller is made of technopolymer, and the motor shaft is tempered stainless steel, running on graphite bushings lubricated by the pumped liquid. Components include a stainless steel rotor protection liner, stator liner, ceramic thrust ring, ethylene-propylene seal rings, and a brass air breather plug.

Motor Types: Asynchronous four-pole motors are used for BMH and DMH versions, while BPH and DPH versions use two-pole motors. Single-phase circulators offer three-speed operation (230V), and three-phase circulators offer two-speed (230V) or three-speed (400V) operation, selectable via a terminal box switch.

Protection: Single-phase versions have built-in thermal protection. Three-phase versions require an external contactor connected to the motor's thermal protection for overload safety.

Twin Versions: Include an automatic swing check valve on the delivery port and a blank flange for servicing.

Pump Body Execution: Standard is PN 10, compatible with PN 6 pumps for interchangeability.

Protection Class: IP 44.

Insulation Class: H.

Cable Gland: PG 11.

Standard Voltage: Three-phase 230/400 V, 50 Hz.

Compliance: Product compliant with European Standards EN 60335-2-51.

Model Series Overview

The circulator models are identified by a naming convention:

  • B = Single circulator, D = Twin circulator
  • M = 4-pole motor, P = 2-pole motor
  • H = Suitable for both air conditioning and heating
  • Followed by maximum head (dm), centre distance (mm), nominal diameter of flanged ports (DN), and motor type (M = single-phase, T = three-phase).

The document also illustrates terminal box positions for single and twin configurations.

Performance Range

The document provides graphic selection tables and performance curves for various models. These curves illustrate the relationship between flow rate (Q) and head (H) for different pump series (BPH, BMH, DPH, DMH). The selection tables offer specific performance data (e.g., head in meters) for different flow rates (m³/h and l/min) across various model numbers.

Selection Tables

Detailed selection tables are provided for BPH/BMH and DPH/DMH series, listing model numbers against flow rates (m³/h and l/min) and corresponding head values (in meters). These tables help in selecting the appropriate pump for a given hydraulic duty point.
