Product Overview
Front View
The front view shows a digital display with current temperature and humidity readings. The temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit (°F) as 73.4, and humidity as 55%. Icons indicate battery status (low battery symbol ?) and weather conditions (cloud symbol ☁️). The brand logo "THIRD REALITY" is visible at the bottom.
A protective film covers the display.
Rear View
The rear view shows ventilation holes, a side button, and the battery compartment. It also displays the product name "Temperature and Humidity Sensor", Model No.: 3RTHS24BZ, FCC ID: 2AOCT-3RTHS24BZ, ID: 28296-3RTHS24BZ, Input: 3V, Made In China, Third Reality, Inc. The FCC and CE logos are present. A plastic insulation sheet is shown, which needs to be removed before use. The compartment holds 2 AAA batteries (included).

Installation
The device features a kickstand for placement. The diagram shows the sensor with the kickstand extended.
Setup
- Remove the protective film on the ventilation holes. Remove the kickstand from the back of the sensor. Open the battery cover on the back and remove the plastic insulation sheet. The sensor powers on, and a blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates it is in pairing mode.
- A solid cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the pairing process is successfully completed.
- If not successfully paired within 3 minutes, the sensor will exit pairing mode. Press and hold the side button for 5 seconds and release to re-enter pairing mode.

Pairing with Third Reality
App: Third Reality App
Hub: Third Reality Smart Hub
Pair the Temperature and Humidity sensor with the Third Reality Smart Hub.
Pairing steps:
- Register and sign in your THIRDREALITY account, and add the THIRDREALITY hub.
- Remove the kickstand on the back of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, open the battery cover, remove the plastic insulation sheet, and power on the sensor. Alternatively, press and hold the side button for 5 seconds and release. A blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode.
- Tap the "+" icon in the upper right of the THIRDREALITY App, scroll down to choose the Temperature and Humidity Sensor icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to start the pairing process.
- The sensor will be discovered within one minute as "Temperature and Humidity Sensor 1". The temperature and humidity data will be displayed in the device list.
- Tap the Temperature and Humidity Sensor icon to enter the device page. You can view information such as MAC address, battery level, software version, and history records. You can also rename the sensor and check for software updates.
- When enabling skills in your Alexa app after pairing the sensor to the hub, you can only read temperature readings, not create routines with the sensor in your Alexa app.
Pairing with Amazon Echo
App: Amazon Alexa App
This process is for Echo devices with built-in ZigBee hubs, such as Echo V4, Echo Plus V1 and V2, Echo Studio, and Eero 6 and 6 pro.
Pairing steps:
- Ask Alexa to check for updates before pairing.
- Remove the kickstand on the back of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, open the battery cover, remove the plastic insulation sheet, and power on the sensor. Alternatively, press and hold the side button for 5 seconds and release. A blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode.
- Ask Alexa to discover devices, or open the Alexa App, go to the device page, tap "+" on the top right, choose "Add Device", scroll down to the bottom and tap "Other", then tap "DISCOVER DEVICES". The Temperature and Humidity Sensor will be paired with your Echo device in a few seconds.
- Tap the device icon to enter the device page, then tap the settings icon ⚙️ to enter the settings page. You can edit the name of the sensor or create routines to control other connected devices.
Pairing with SmartThings
App: SmartThings App
Devices: SmartThings Hub 2nd Gen (2015) and 3rd Gen. (2018), Aeotec Smart Home Hub.
Pairing steps:
- Before pairing, check for updates to ensure the SmartThings Hub firmware is up to date.
- Remove the kickstand on the back of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, open the battery cover, remove the plastic insulation sheet, and power on the sensor. Alternatively, press and hold the side button for 5 seconds and release. A blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode.
- Open the SmartThings App, tap "+" on the upper right corner to "Add device", and then tap "Scan" to "Scan for nearby devices".
- The sensor will be paired with the SmartThings hub in a few seconds.
- Create routines to control connected devices.
- When enabling skills in your Alexa app after pairing the Temperature and Humidity Sensor to the hub, you can only read temperature readings, but not create routines with the sensor in your Alexa app.
How to add SmartThings drivers for Third Reality T&H Sensor

- Log in to your SmartThings Account.
- Click "Enroll" → "Available Drivers" → "Install" to install the device driver as needed.
- Reboot your SmartThings hub by powering it off and on again.
- Use "Scan for Nearby Devices" in the SmartThings App to pair THIRDREALITY devices with your SmartThings hub.
- You can change the driver of the sensor in the SmartThings App.
Pairing with Hubitat

- Remove the kickstand on the back of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, open the battery cover, remove the plastic insulation sheet, and power on the sensor. Alternatively, press and hold the side button for 5 seconds and release. A blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode.
- Visit your Hubitat Elevation hub device page from your web browser, select the "Devices" menu item from the sidebar, then select "Discover Devices" in the upper right.
- Click the "Start ZigBee Pairing" button after selecting a ZigBee device type. This will put the hub in ZigBee pairing mode for 60 seconds.
- After the pairing process is completed successfully, you can rename the device if needed.
- The Temperature and Humidity Sensor will now appear on the Devices page.
Pairing with Home Assistant
Pairing steps:
- Remove the kickstand on the back of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, open the battery cover, remove the plastic insulation sheet, and power on the sensor. A blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode.
- Ensure Home Assistant Integrations ZigBee Home Automation Setup is ready, then go to the "Configuration" page and click "Integrations".
- Click "Devices" under the ZigBee item, then click "Add Devices".
- After pairing is completed successfully, the device will appear on the page.
- Go back to the "Devices" page to find the Temperature and Humidity Sensor added.
- Click to enter the control interface to set the Temperature and Humidity Sensor.
- Click the "+" icon for "Automation" to add different actions.

How to factory reset the Temperature and Humidity Sensor?
Press and hold the side button on the left side of the sensor for 5 seconds and release the hold. The blinking cloud icon ☁️ on the LCD screen indicates the sensor is in pairing mode. -
Why does the temperature fluctuate when I press the side button?
The side button is located near the ventilation hole. When your finger presses the side button, the temperature reading may rise due to body heat. Wait for 20 seconds for the temperature reading to return to normal. -
The LCD screen gets dirty, how to clean it?
You can clean the LCD screen with alcohol wipes or a damp soft cloth. Prevent water from getting into the monitor when cleaning it. -
What is the battery life?
The battery life is approximately 1 year with typical usage.
