Door Sensor

Brand: Third Reality

Mounting Kit

The mounting kit includes the following components:

The door sensor consists of two parts: Part A (the larger sensor unit) and Part B (the smaller magnetic contact unit). These are shown in Figure 1.

To access the battery compartment, press the button at the bottom of Part A to open its rear cover, as illustrated in Figure 2.

Figure 3 shows the correct placement of the sensor parts: Part A is mounted on the door, and Part B is mounted on the door frame. They should be aligned with each other. Figure 4 illustrates both correct and incorrect mounting scenarios, emphasizing alignment and proximity.

Setting up your Door Sensor

  1. Follow instructions to set up your compatible ZigBee hub.
  2. The Door Sensor has two parts, A and B. Press the button at the bottom of Part A to open its rear cover. Insert two AAA batteries inside the sensor.
  3. Configure the Door Sensor with your ZigBee hub. For assistance with configuration or troubleshooting, consult your hub's user manual.
  4. To factory reset the sensor, long-press the inside button. This places the sensor in pairing mode. Release the button when the red LED turns on. The LED will then change to a fast blue blinking light, indicating the sensor is ready for setup.
  5. Replace Part A's rear cover and ensure it is securely closed.

Using your Door Sensor

  1. Clean and dry the installation area. Remove the protective layer from the double-sided tape and adhere Sensor Part A to the door and Sensor Part B to the door frame as shown. Ensure the horizontal installation gap between the two parts is less than or equal to 5/8 inches.
  2. Sensors are designed for indoor use only and are not suitable for use with iron doors or gates. The two small alignment marks on both parts should be aligned and facing each other.

  3. When the door opens, you will receive an alert on your phone.
