In extreme cases, it may shut down. If the device is not working properly, take it to the nearest authorized service center.

Recycling

Always return used electronic devices, batteries, and packaging materials to designated collection points. This helps prevent uncontrolled waste disposal and promotes the reuse of raw materials. Electrical and electronic products contain many valuable materials, including metals (such as copper, aluminum, steel, and magnesium) and precious metals (such as gold, silver, and palladium). All materials from which the device is made can be recovered as materials and energy.

Symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on your product, battery, accompanying documentation, or packaging is meant to remind you that all electrical and electronic products and batteries must be collected separately at the end of their service life. Do not dispose of these products in your household waste: hand them in for recycling. For information on the nearest recycling point, contact your local waste management authority or read about HMD's take-back program and its availability in your country at www.hmd.com/phones/support/topics/recycle.

Battery and charger information

To find out if your phone has a removable or non-removable battery, refer to the printed manual.

Device with a removable battery

Use this device only with its original rechargeable battery. The battery can be recharged and discharged hundreds of times (thousands of cycles), but it will eventually wear out. If the talk and standby times shorten significantly, replace the battery.

Device with a non-removable battery

Do not attempt to remove the battery, as you may damage the device. The battery can be recharged and discharged hundreds of times (thousands of cycles), but it will eventually wear out. If the talk and standby times shorten significantly, take the device to the nearest authorized service center to replace the battery.

Charge the device with a compatible charger. The type of charger plug may vary. Charging time may vary depending on the device's capabilities.

Battery and charger safety information

After charging the device, disconnect the charger from the device and unplug it from the outlet. Continuous charging should not exceed 12 hours. When you are not using a fully charged battery, it will discharge itself over time.

Extreme temperatures reduce battery capacity and lifespan. For optimal battery performance, always keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C. A device with a hot or cold battery may temporarily stop working. At low temperatures, the battery may discharge quickly and lose so much energy in a few minutes that the phone turns off. In low-temperature environments, try to keep the phone warm.

Observe local regulations. Recycle batteries whenever possible. Do not dispose of them in household waste.

Do not expose the battery to extremely low air pressure or very high temperatures. Do not dispose of it in fire, for example. The battery may explode or leak flammable liquid or gas.

Do not disassemble, cut, crush, bend, puncture, or otherwise damage the battery. If the battery leaks, avoid contact of the leaking liquid with skin or eyes. If contact occurs, immediately rinse the affected areas with water or seek medical attention. Do not modify or attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery. Do not immerse or expose the battery to water or other liquids. Damaged batteries may explode.

Use the battery and charger only for their intended purposes. Improper use or the use of unapproved or incompatible batteries or chargers may pose a risk of fire, explosion, or other hazard, and may result in the invalidation of certifications or warranties. If you think the battery or charger is damaged, take it to the nearest service center or phone retailer for inspection before further use. Never use a damaged battery or charger. Use chargers indoors only. Do not charge the device during a thunderstorm. If a charger is not included in the sales package, charge the device using a data cable (included) and a USB power adapter (may be sold separately).

You can charge the device using cables and power adapters from other manufacturers that are compatible with USB 2.0 or later and comply with applicable country and international/regional safety standards. Other adapters may not comply with applicable safety standards, and charging with such adapters may pose a risk of property damage or personal injury.

When disconnecting the charger or accessories, always hold and pull the plug, not the cable.

If your device has a removable battery, the following instructions also apply:

  • Before removing any covers or the battery, always switch off the device and disconnect the charger.
  • If the metal strips on the battery touch a metal object, a short circuit may occur. This can lead to damage to the battery or the object.

Small children

This device and its accessories are not toys. They may contain small parts. Keep them out of reach of small children.

Health devices

The operation of radio-frequency transmitting devices, including wireless phones, may cause interference with inadequately shielded medical devices. To determine if the medical device is adequately shielded from the external radio-frequency field, consult your doctor or the medical device manufacturer.

Implanted medical devices

Manufacturers of implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, insulin pumps, and neurostimulators) recommend that a minimum distance of 15.3 centimeters be maintained between the wireless device and the medical device to avoid potential interference. Persons with such devices should:

  • Always keep the wireless device at least 15.3 centimeters from the medical device.
  • Do not carry the wireless device in a breast pocket.
  • When talking on the phone, hold the wireless device to the ear furthest from the medical device.
  • Switch off the wireless device if there is any reason to suspect that it is causing interference.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the implanted medical device.

  • Install antivirus and other security software on any connected computer.
  • If you use pre-installed bookmarks and links to third-party websites, exercise due caution. HMD Global does not provide support for such servers and assumes no responsibility.

Vehicles

Radio signals can affect improperly mounted or inadequately shielded electronic systems in vehicles. For more information, check with the vehicle manufacturer or its equipment. The device should only be installed in a vehicle by an authorized technician. Improper installation can be dangerous and may void the warranty. Regularly check that all mobile device accessories in the vehicle are correctly installed and functioning properly. Do not store or transport flammable or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device, its parts, or accessories. Do not place the device or any accessories in a compartment where airbags may deploy in the event of a collision.

Potentially explosive environments

Switch off the device in potentially explosive environments, such as at petrol stations. Sparks could cause an explosion or fire, posing a risk of injury or death. Observe restrictions in areas containing fuel, in chemical plants, and in areas where blasting is carried out with explosives. Potentially explosive environments may not be visibly marked. These typically include areas where you are advised to switch off the engine, cargo holds of ships, areas for transporting or storing chemicals, and areas where the atmosphere contains a high concentration of chemicals or fine particles. Consult the manufacturer of vehicles that use liquefied petroleum gas (e.g., propane and butane) to see if this device can be safely used near them.

Certification information

This mobile device complies with radio wave exposure regulations. This mobile device is a transmitter and receiver of radio waves. It is designed not to exceed the radio wave exposure limits (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) recommended by the internationally recognized independent scientific organization ICNIRP. These regulations include a sufficient safety margin to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless of age or health status. Radio wave exposure regulations are based on the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) value, which expresses the amount of radio frequency transmission power emitted by the device towards the head or body. The ICNIRP limit for mobile devices is 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10 grams of body tissue.

SAR value tests are conducted with the device in its standard operating position, transmitting at its highest certified power level, in all frequency bands.

This device complies with legal regulations for radio wave exposure when used at the head or placed at least 1.5 cm from the body. If you use a case, belt clip, or other type of holder for carrying the phone on your body, it should not contain metallic material and should be placed at least at the aforementioned distance from the body.

Sending data or messages requires a quality network connection. Sending may be delayed until such a connection is available. Follow the distance guidelines throughout the sending process.

Under normal usage, SAR values are much lower than the values stated here. Due to system efficiency and network interference minimization, the mobile device's operating power is automatically reduced whenever full calling power is not required. The lower the power, the lower the SAR value.

Certain device models may have different versions with different values. Over time, changes in components and construction may occur, and some of these changes may affect SAR values.

For more information, visit www.sar-tick.com. Note that mobile devices may transmit even when you are not making a call.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that current scientific information does not demonstrate the need for any special precautions when using mobile devices. If you wish to reduce your exposure to radio waves, it is recommended to limit the use of such devices or use a hands-free kit, which allows you to keep the device at a greater distance from your head and body. For more information and explanations, and discussions on RF exposure, visit the WHO website at www.who.int/health-topics/electromagnetic-fields#tab=tab_1.

Maximum SAR values for the device can be found on the website www.hmd.com/sar.
