Thank you for choosing a REDRAGON product. To protect your rights and for better customer service, please read the following warranty rules carefully.
- Within 18 months of purchase date, repair is guaranteed for failure due to electrical circuit problems. Other damages, such as disassembly, hard impacts, submersion into water, plugging into improper current or voltage, and damage caused by natural disasters such as fire, flood, or earthquake are not included.
- Consumable parts (such as foot pads) and spare parts replacement are not included in our warranty.

How to Connect the Keyboard with a Computer
Wired Connection
- Slide the 2.4G/OFF/BT switch on the left side of the keyboard to OFF.
- Take out the USB A to USB Type C cable from the package and connect the keyboard to your computer. The LED marked with 'M' will twinkle 5 times, indicating successful connection.
- The computer will recognize and configure the keyboard automatically.
- Once the keyboard is powered up, charging begins. The LED marked with 'M' lights up red.
- It will turn white when the keyboard is fully recharged.
2.4G Wireless Connection
- Slide the 2.4G/OFF/BT switch on the left side of the keyboard to 2.4G.
- Press [FN] + [4] for about 3 seconds. The LED marked with 'M' flashes quickly in yellow. Plug the USB receiver into any available USB port on your computer within 20 seconds. The computer will recognize and configure the keyboard automatically.
- The indicator will flash red when the battery is low. Please recharge the keyboard in time by plugging the Type-C cable into the computer, or it will turn off automatically soon. Please note the LED marked with 'M' will be lit red while charging and turn green when charging is completed (in 2.4G connecting mode).
Bluetooth Connection
- Slide the 2.4G/OFF/BT switch on the left side of the keyboard to BT.
- Press [FN] + [1] (or [2]/[3] for other Bluetooth devices). The LED marked with 'M' flashes in blue (or cyan/magenta for others).
- Turn on Bluetooth and scan for available devices on your computer or smartphone. It will find "K656-RGB-PRO 3.0 Keyboard" or "K656-RGB-PRO 5.0 Keyboard" devices. Select one to connect automatically.
- The indicator will flash red when the battery is low. Please recharge the keyboard in time by plugging the Type-C cable into the computer, or it will turn off automatically soon. Please note the LED marked with 'M' will be lit red while charging and turn cyan/magenta when charging is completed (in Bluetooth connecting mode).
Software and Key Functions
Software and OS Compatibility
- With standard USB and 2.4G/BT connections, the keyboard can be used on computers without any software or driver installation. For more gaming configurations, please download software from www.redragonzone.com. The software is only available for Windows OS.
- Default for the first plug-in on Windows OS. Press [FN] + [A] to switch to Mac OS, press [FN] + [W] to switch to Windows OS.
Commands of Key Combinations with [FN] Key
- [FN] + [1]: Select Bluetooth device one (for Bluetooth connection).
- [FN] + [2]: Select Bluetooth device two (for Bluetooth connection).
- [FN] + [3]: Select Bluetooth device three (for Bluetooth connection).
- [FN] + [4]: Change to 2.4G wireless connection. Press and hold [FN] + [4] for 3 seconds to pair the keyboard with its receiver.
- [FN] + [ESC]: Set the keyboard to default settings and clear all macro settings.
- [FN] + [I]: Print Screen (PrtSc)
- [FN] + [O]: Scroll Lock (ScrLk)
- [FN] + [P]: Pause
Backlight Adjustment
- [FN] + [INS]: Switch between 20 backlight patterns.
- [FN] + [ENTER]: Change backlight color under available patterns.
- [FN] + [Left Arrow]: Adjust light rotating speed.
- [FN] + [Right Arrow]: Adjust light rotating speed.
- [FN] + [Up Arrow]: Adjust light brightness.
- [FN] + [Down Arrow]: Adjust light brightness.

Power Management and Battery
Sleep and Power Safe Mode
In 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth connection modes, to save power, the keyboard enters sleep mode under two conditions. All LEDs and backlight turn off. Click any key to wake up the keyboard.
- Power save mode: After 3 minutes of inactivity, all backlight turns off, but the keyboard is still working and the 2.4G connection is active.
- Sleep mode: After 30 minutes of inactivity, backlight turns off, the keyboard is off, and the 2.4G connection is inactive.
Battery Status Indicators
There are 4 indicators on the top left of the keyboard, indicating the power status at 25% - 50% - 75% - 100%.
How to Recharge the Keyboard
Find the USB A to USB Type C cable in the packaging. Plug it into the keyboard and connect it to a computer for charging. The LED indicator ('M') on the keyboard will turn red. Remark: The LED indicator ('M') will turn red when the keyboard is low on battery.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- If the keyboard doesn't respond: Please check if the keyboard's USB cable is correctly inserted into the corresponding USB port on the computer, or try another USB port on the computer.
- If you spill liquid on the keyboard: Please unplug the keyboard's USB cable from the computer immediately. Wipe off excess liquid and place the keyboard in a dry and ventilated area. Ensure the keyboard is naturally dried before the next use.
Battery Safety Guidelines
DO NOT replace the battery with a different model.
DO NOT use this product if the battery shows signs of damage, including but not limited to tearing, deformation, leakage, or the smell of electrolytic material.
DO NOT touch the battery if material is leaking and seek immediate medical attention if any material comes into contact with your skin or eyes.
DO NOT expose the battery to liquid, heat sources, electricity (outside of the product itself), or other non-standard operating conditions.
DO NOT remove the battery except for proper disposal and recycling as required by local laws and regulations.
DO NOT impact, bend, alter, disassemble, or otherwise damage the battery, as the contents are volatile, hazardous, and can be harmful.
