4.5 Connected Devices
- Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other device connected to the product.
4.6 Before Assembly and Installation
- Check that the scope of delivery is complete before assembling the monitor mount and accessories. Do not assemble if parts are missing.
- Avoid damaging the monitor. To know how and where to attach the mount or fixing for the monitor, consult the manufacturer's instructions provided with the monitor.
- Handle the monitor and screen with care. Always place the monitor flat and use a cushion or cloth to protect the table surface and the monitor from damage.
- Danger of injury and/or damage during unpacking of the gas spring arm! Hold the gas spring arms firmly while a second person cuts the retaining strap. Slowly release the tension on the gas spring arms and slowly open to maximum length.
4.7 Table Installation
If you wish to install the monitor mount on a table, proceed as follows:
- Secure the monitor mount to a table whose surface is sufficiently stable and horizontal. Tables made of glass, ceramic, or stone slabs, or thin plasticized wood fiber boards are not suitable for this type of installation. Furthermore, it is not permitted to attach the monitor mount to shelves or similar surfaces that are unstable or wobbly.
- Secure the monitor mount in a position on the table surface suitable for this type of installation. Take into account the high leverage effect generated!
- Due to the weight of the monitor and mount, the mounting position, and the high leverage effect, the table surface can be scratched. For this reason, it is not recommended to install the mount on valuable furniture.
- For safety reasons, the mount and the monitor placed on it must be positioned only above the table surface. The design of many monitor mounts does not allow the monitor arm to be placed anywhere other than on the table surface. Furthermore, in some circumstances, there is a risk of tipping over!
- Ensure that the monitor mount is securely fastened to the table surface. Otherwise, it could slip off the table surface when moving the monitor and mount. In addition to causing material damage, this poses a risk of physical injury!
4.8 Wall Mounting
- When drilling the surface or inserting fastening elements, ensure that no cables or pipes are damaged. Accidental drilling into electrical cables poses a risk of fatal electric shock!
- The wall on which the monitor mount is installed must be able to support the combined weight of the mount, accessories, and monitor. Use fastening materials (e.g., screws, wall plugs) suitable for the wall. If in doubt, contact a technician before installation.
- The wall on which accessories are mounted must be able to support the combined weight of the accessories and their loads. Use fastening materials (e.g., screws, wall plugs) suitable for the wall. If in doubt, contact a technician before installation.
4.9 Monitor Removal
- Danger of injury and/or damage due to the gas spring arm! Before removing a mounted monitor, always bring the front arm to the highest position, so that it cannot "spring up" after the monitor is removed.
5 Maintenance
Over time, adjusting the monitor mount positions may cause screws to loosen. Periodically check all screw fastenings.
