Product Overview
The X5 mixer is a multi-channel beginner audio mixer designed for online live streaming, podcasting, and gaming. It offers an easy-to-use, all-in-one audio solution with a compact structure, built-in LED screen, RGB lighting effects on rotary knobs, and intuitive hardware controls for audio and effects like 3-band EQ and reverbs. While it's an entertainment sound mixer, its audio quality is not intended to match professional audio mixers or interfaces.
The X5 features 11 audio jacks, including XLR, 1/4-inch, and 1/8-inch microphone inputs, supporting various microphone types. It also includes a 3.5mm TRRS jack for headset microphone input and real-time monitoring. For output, it has one USB-C port and two 3.5mm TRRS jacks, compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, and other systems.
Interface Description
Rear Panel Ports
Description of the rear panel ports:
- 1. 48V XLR Mic: 48V condenser microphone input port. Provides 48V phantom power via the 48V key. Input volume controlled by the "Total Mic Volume" knob.
- 2. Musical instrument: 6.35mm port for connecting musical instruments. Volume controlled by the "Musical instrument" knob. (Note: 6.35mm dynamic mics can use this port, but effects like reverb or EQ will not apply.)
- 3. Moving coil microphone: 6.35mm dynamic mic input port. Volume controlled by the "Total Mic Volume" knob.
- 4. Microphone: 3.5mm TRS mic port for connecting a condenser microphone (e.g., via XLR to 3.5mm adapter). Volume controlled by the "Total Mic Volume" knob.
- 5. Headphones/Speakers: Two 3.5mm ports for real-time monitoring of all sound sources. Supports TRS/TRRS headphones. Volume controlled by the "Monitoring" knob.
- 6. Headset: 3.5mm TRRS port for connecting a headset microphone. Used for vocals input and simultaneous real-time monitoring. Monitoring volume controlled by "Monitoring" knob; input volume by "Total Mic Volume" knob.
- 7. Accompaniment: 3.5mm music input port for external audio sources (e.g., smartphone, PC earphone jack) to play background music. Volume controlled by the "Accompaniment" knob.
- 8. Live Streaming: Two 3.5mm TRRS analog output ports for outputting mixed audio to smartphones, tablets, or other devices. Allows simultaneous live streaming to multiple devices. Also accepts voice input from other parties (volume not controlled by the mixer).
- 9. OTG: USB-C port for data communication with computers and mobile devices, used for audio signal line out/in for recording/live streaming/podcasting. Input volume controlled by "Accompaniment" knob; output volume by "Recording" knob. (Tip: Enabling Loopback function is required for adjusting accompaniment volume from USB-C.)
- 10. Charging/PC Live: Data interface and charging port for audio communication with computers and mobile devices. Input volume controlled by "Accompaniment" knob; output volume by "Recording" knob.
Top Panel Controls
Description of the top panel controls:
- 1. 48V Button: Toggles 48V phantom power for XLR microphones. Indicator light turns red when active.
- 2. Power/Loopback Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the mixer on/off. Short press to toggle the Loopback feature. Loopback (light on) sends USB audio back to the connected device, allowing PC audio to be heard by the audience. Loopback disabled (light flashes) prevents PC audio from being recorded or broadcast, avoiding echoes.
- 3. Reverberation Knob: Adjusts the reverb effect.
- 4. Dodge Speed Knob: Adjusts auto-ducking levels. (Tip: Enable "Dodge" button first.)
- 5. Recording Knob: Controls the volume of audio output to OTG, PC/Live, and Live Streaming ports.
- 6. Mic Treble, Midrange, Bass Knobs: Adjusts the EQ for microphone inputs.
- 7. Total Mic Volume Knob: Controls the input volume for all microphone ports.
- 8. Musical Instrument Knob: Adjusts the input volume for the musical instrument port.
- 9. Monitoring Knob: Adjusts the output volume for headphones/speakers and headset jacks.
- 10. Accompaniment Knob: Adjusts the input volume for accompaniment sources (Bluetooth, Accompaniment jack, OTG, PC Live). (Tip: Loopback must be enabled for USB-C accompaniment.)
- 11. Battery Level Display: 4 LED lights indicating battery status (25% per light). Charging indicator is green.
- 12. Light Mode Button: Cycles through 5 lighting effects.
- 13. 48V Indicator: Red LED indicates 48V phantom power is active.
- 14. 12-step Auto Tune Indicator: Shows the active auto-tune step.
- 15. Loopback Indicator: Red LED indicates Loopback function is active.
- 16. 4 Level Meters: Display current audio level adjustments.
- 17. Sound Pads: 14 instant trigger sound pads for live streaming atmosphere.
- 18. Silencing Original Button: Toggles vocal removal (removes ~85% of vocals from accompaniment). Button light blinks when active. (Tip: Loopback must be enabled for USB-C music.)
- 19. Dodge Button: Toggles auto-ducking function. Light flashes when active. Automatically lowers background music volume when speaking. (Applies to Bluetooth/Accompaniment port; PC internal music requires Loopback.) Light is always on when disabled.
- 20. Noise Reduction Button: Toggles noise reduction function. Button light blinks when active.
- 21. Voice Changer Button: Cycles through 5 voice changer modes (Male, Female, Magic, Baby, Robot). Presets include reverb, adjustable by the Reverberation knob.
- 22. Reverb Modes Buttons: 4 buttons to select preset reverb effects. "Original Sound" mode has no reverb.
- 23. Electronic Music Button: Cycles through 12 steps of auto-tune.
- 24. Bluetooth Switch/Control Button: Press and hold to turn Bluetooth on/off. Short press to play/pause Bluetooth accompaniment. (BT ID: X5 SoundCard)
Connection Guides
Live Streaming, Podcast, or Recording On Mobile Devices
Connection setup for mobile devices:
- Connect the live streaming mobile phone, accompaniment mobile phone, monitoring headphone, and microphone to the mixer as indicated in the connection diagrams.
- Open the live streaming app on the smartphone.
- Power on the mixer, set desired voice effects, and test the live streaming audio.
- Open the accompaniment app on the accompaniment phone and start playing music.
Tips:
- If your phone lacks a 3.5mm port, use a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter or a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter.
- Smartphones/tablets can input background music via USB-C ports, but cannot simultaneously stream and input audio via USB-C.
- USB-C to Lightning cables may not support recording on iPhones via USB-C ports.
- Using a USB-C to USB-C cable with a USB-C to Lightning adapter for iPhone streaming/recording via USB-C may cause audio transmission delays.
- You can stream/record to up to 3 different phones by utilizing both the USB-C port and the two "Live Streaming" ports.
Live Streaming, Podcast, or Recording On Computer
Connection setup for computers:
- Connect the streaming/recording computer, accompaniment device, monitoring headphone, and microphone to the mixer.
- Power on the mixer, wear monitoring headphones, and adjust voice effects.
- Connect the computer to the mixer using a USB-C data cable. The computer should recognize it as "X5 SoundCard". Configure "X5 SoundCard" as the default input and output device in your computer's sound settings (Playback and Recording).
- Open your streaming, recording, or accompaniment software and ensure "X5 SoundCard" is set as the default audio device. Test the audio and begin streaming.
- To input PC system audio simultaneously while streaming/recording from a single PC, enable the "Loopback" function.
Tips:
- Connecting PCs to the "Live Streaming" ports for live streaming is not recommended.
- The mixer supports simultaneous streaming/recording/podcasting on both computers and smartphones.
- Two 3.5mm headphones can be used for monitoring simultaneously.
Unsupported Connection: Connecting two devices (mobile or computers) simultaneously through two USB-C ports is not supported.
Unsupported Connection: USB microphone connection via USB-C port is not supported.
Karaoke Connection
Description of karaoke connection setup:
- Connect microphone, accompaniment source (wired or Bluetooth), and speaker as shown in the diagrams.
Tips:
- It is not recommended to use a condenser microphone when connecting a speaker to avoid howling.
- Pay attention to the distance and orientation between the microphone and the speaker.
Accompaniment Music Input
Description of accompaniment input methods:
- Wired Connection: Connect accompaniment source via 3.5mm jack or USB-C.
- Wireless Connection: Connect via Bluetooth (BT ID: X5 SoundCard).
Tips:
- Bluetooth connection is limited to approximately 10 meters (33 feet) and should be kept away from strong signal interference.
- The Bluetooth feature is exclusively for accompaniment music playback.
Troubleshooting (FQA)
- Q: The device does not work, or there is no sound suddenly.
Possible solutions: The battery may be dead; connect to a USB cable for charging before use. - Q: There is a lot of noise during live streaming.
Possible solutions:
1. Check battery level and charge if low.
2. Ensure the earphone is plugged into the correct port.
3. Lower microphone input volume and enable noise reduction.
4. Check headset insertion and re-plug if necessary.
5. If using a laptop, try unplugging its charging cable, as it might interfere with the mixer. - Q: The microphone has no sound.
Possible solutions:
1. Verify microphone cable connection and orientation, or test with a different cable.
2. Gradually increase microphone input volume and monitoring volume. - Q: The live streaming sound is small or silent.
Possible solutions:
1. Ensure the cable is plugged into the correct "Live Streaming" port.
2. Test with a different audio or USB cable.
3. Check if the "Recording" knob is turned up to maximum. - Q: The audience can't hear the music when live streaming, or it has no effect.
Possible solutions:
1. Ensure the USB cable is plugged into the USB-C OTG port.
2. Verify that the "LOOPBACK" function is enabled when streaming or recording on computers. - Q: The sound is not normal.
Possible solutions:
1. Switch to "Original Sound" mode if other voice modes are active.
2. Check if the headphone is inserted into the correct marked position. - Q: Voice Changer effect cannot be adjusted.
Possible solutions: Adjust effects like Reverb and Mic EQ using the respective knobs while in the sound change mode. - Q: Cannot be used with guitar.
Possible solutions: Connect the guitar to the 6.35mm "Musical instrument" jack. Guitar input volume can only be adjusted by the "Musical instrument" knob. - Q: Auto Ducking function not working.
Possible solutions: The function works for podcast or live streaming with music, but not for voice calls.

Warm Tips
- Do not charge the audio console during live streaming.
- Charge the audio console before first use.
- If not used for an extended period, charge the console every 3 months.
- Charging is possible when the power is off. Avoid prolonged charging.
- Stop charging once the battery is fully charged to prevent overcharging.
- Bluetooth connection is distance-limited; keep devices within range and away from interference.
- The Bluetooth feature is exclusively for accompaniment music playback.
- When using a computer for live streaming or accompaniment, ensure the "Loopback" function is enabled so viewers can hear PC audio.
- The X5 mixer is an entertainment audio interface designed for content creation, not a professional-grade mixer.
