CLABEL Label Printer Driver and Software Installation Guide
1. Driver Installation
This section guides you through installing the necessary drivers for your CLABEL label printer.
Step 1: Download the Driver
- Log in to the CLABEL driver download portal at https://ga.ctaiot.com/.
- Select your specific product model from the list (e.g., CT221B, CT220B, CT230B, CT221D, CT220D, CT428S).
- Click on the "Print Driver" option to download the driver package.

Step 2: Install the Driver on macOS
- Ensure your CLABEL printer is turned on and connected to your computer via a data cable.
- Locate the downloaded driver installation file and double-click it to begin the installation process.
- In the installer window, click "Continue" to proceed.
- When prompted, click "Install".
- You will likely be asked to enter your computer's administrator password. Enter it and click "Install Software" or a similar confirmation button.
- The installation will proceed. Once completed, you will see a confirmation message indicating that the installation was successful.

Step 3: Add the Printer in macOS Settings
- Click on the computer's settings icon (often a gear or Apple logo) and navigate to "Settings" (or "System Preferences").
- Select "Printers & Scanners" from the settings menu.
- Click the "Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax Machine..." button (often represented by a '+' icon).
- In the "Add Printer" window, your CLABEL printer (e.g., "Clabel- CT221B") should appear in the list. Select it.
- Verify that the correct driver is selected (it should auto-populate).
- Click the "Add" button.
Note: If your printer does not appear automatically, ensure it is powered on and properly connected. You may need to add it manually using the "Select Software..." option if the driver is not detected.

Step 4: Post-Installation
After the driver is successfully installed and the printer is added, you can right-click on the printer in the "Printers & Scanners" list to access more settings and configurations for the printer driver.
2. Editing Software Installation and Printing
This section covers installing the OpenLabel+ editing software and how to print labels.
Step 1: Install OpenLabel+ Software
- Open the App Store on your macOS device.
- Search for "OpenLabel+".
- Locate the OpenLabel+ application in the search results and click "Get" followed by "Install". You may need to enter your Apple ID password.

Step 2: Create a New Label Template
- Launch the OpenLabel+ editing software.
- Click on "New Label" in the upper-left corner of the application window.
- Enter the desired label dimensions, such as width and height (e.g., 72 mm width, 50 mm height).
- Click the "Create" button to generate the label template.

Step 3: Design and Print Labels
- Select the content you wish to print (e.g., text, barcodes, QR codes) from the left-hand panel and drag it onto the label artboard.
- Once your label design is complete, click the "Print" button.
- In the print dialog that appears, expand the "Advanced Settings" section.
- Ensure "Call System Print" is checked. This allows you to use the standard macOS printing interface.
- Click "Print" again to open the system print dialog.

Step 4: Configure Print Settings
In the macOS print dialog:
- Printer Selection: Ensure your CLABEL printer (e.g., "Clabel- CT221B") is selected.
- Copies: Enter the number of copies you wish to print.
- Presets: It is recommended to select "Last Used Settings" to ensure your previous print configurations are applied.
- Paper Size: Verify the paper size matches your label stock (e.g., 40mm x 30mm).
- Layout Options: Adjust layout settings like "Pages per Sheet", "Layout Direction", and "Border" as needed.
- Printer Options/Features: Access specific printer settings such as:
- Media Type: Select the correct paper type (Gap paper, Black label paper, Continuous paper) to ensure accurate positioning.
- Print Density (Darkness): Adjust from 1-15 levels; higher values result in darker prints.
- Print Speed: Configure the printer's speed for optimal print quality. Reduce speed for clearer results. Do not exceed the printer's limits.
- Portrait Offset: Adjust to correct slight vertical misalignments of printed content.
- Content Rotation: Rotate content by 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270°.
- Memory Printing: Enable or disable this feature, which allows the printer to store and reprint the last label.
- After confirming all settings are correct, click "Print".
