Clabel Label Printer Driver Installation Tutorial

Step 1: Get the Port Value

1. Use a USB cable to connect the printer to the computer.

2. Right mouse click on the Windows Start button.

3. From the context menu, select 'Device Manager'.

4. In Device Manager, expand 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'.

5. Locate and right-click on your printer device (e.g., CHITENG-CT221B).

6. Select 'Properties' from the context menu.

7. In the printer's Properties window, navigate to the 'Details' tab.

8. Select 'Device instance path' from the Property dropdown.

9. Note or remember the displayed string of characters (e.g., USBPRINT\CHITENG-CT221B\6&6F02D50&08 USB002).

Step 2: Install the Driver

1. Download the driver from the official Clabel website: https://ga.ctaiot.com/pc/

2. Open the downloaded driver installer file.

3. Choose the appropriate language for the installation process from the 'Select Setup Language' dialog.

4. Select the installation location. It is recommended not to change the default path (e.g., C:\Program Files\Label Printer).

5. Click 'Next' to proceed.

6. Click 'Install' to begin the installation.

7. In the 'Select the name and port of printer driver' window, you can name your printer (e.g., 'Label Printer (CT221B)').

8. Select the correct USB port number identified earlier (e.g., USB002).

9. Click 'Setup' to configure the printer.

10. The installation is completed. A confirmation message will appear.

Step 3: Test the Driver Installation

1. Right mouse click on the Windows Start button.

2. Select 'Settings' from the context menu.

3. In the Settings window, click on 'Bluetooth & devices'.

4. Click on 'Printers & scanners'.

5. Locate and click on the installed driver, 'Label Printer (CT221B)'.

6. Click on 'Printer properties'.

7. In the printer's Properties window, click the 'Print Test Page' button.

If you see that the printer is successfully running, the driver is successfully installed.
