French Door Bottom Mount Quick Start Guide

Operating Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, read the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS, located in your appliance's Owner's Manual, before operating this appliance.

IMPORTANT: Before operating this appliance, make sure it has been properly installed according to the appliance's Owner's Manual.

The controls are located above the external dispenser. Touch any control button on the dispenser panel to activate the display screen.

NOTE: The display screen on the dispenser control panel will turn off automatically and enter "sleep" mode when the control buttons and dispenser levers have not been used for 2 minutes or more. While in "sleep" mode, the first press of a control button will only reactivate the display screen, without changing any settings. After reactivation, changes to any settings can then be made. If no changes are made within 2 minutes, the display will re-enter "sleep" mode.

Control Panel Buttons: [Ice Type] (cubed/crushed), [Light] (off/on/pads), [Temp] (hold 3 sec), [Options] (hold 3 sec), [Lock] (hold 3 sec), [Measured Fill] (hold 3 sec).

Factory Settings and Initial Cooling

For convenience, your refrigerator and freezer controls are preset at the factory. When you first install your refrigerator, ensure controls are set to "mid-settings." Factory recommended set points are 38°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.

IMPORTANT:

NOTE: Areas like garages or basements may require temperature adjustments due to higher humidity or extreme temperatures.

Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments. Recheck temperatures before making further adjustments.

Temperature Set Points

1. To view/adjust set points, press and hold [Temp] for 3 seconds to activate Temperature mode.

NOTE: To view temperature in Celsius, press [Light] (under Units) when in adjust mode. Press [Light] again to return to Fahrenheit.

2. When Temperature mode is active, press [Temp] to toggle between Fridge and Freezer. The display shows the set point and adjusting information.

3. Press [Lock] to raise set point, or press [Options] to lower set point.

4. To adjust the freezer set point, press [Temp] (under Select Zone). "Freezer" will appear.

5. Press [Lock] to raise set point, or press [Options] to lower set point.

Recommended Refrigerator Temperature: Fridge set point range: 33°F to 45°F (0°C to 7°C)

Recommended Freezer Temperature: Freezer set point range: -5°F to 5°F (-21°C to -15°C)

Temperature Adjustment Guide:

Condition Adjustment
Refrigerator too cold Refrigerator setting 1° higher
Refrigerator too warm Refrigerator setting 1° lower
Freezer too cold Freezer setting 1° higher
Freezer too warm / too little ice Freezer setting 1° lower

Save/Confirm Temperature Settings: Press [Measured Fill] to save settings after adjusting both refrigerator and freezer set points.

NOTE: To exit without saving, press [Ice Type] or wait approx. 60 seconds for auto-exit.

Cooling On/Off

Your refrigerator and freezer will not cool when cooling is turned off.

To turn cooling off: Press and hold [Lock] and [Measured Fill] simultaneously for 3 seconds.

IMPORTANT: Press both buttons at exactly the same time to avoid unintentional locking or setting changes.

When cooling is off, "Refrigeration Cooling is Off" will appear on the display.

To turn cooling back on: Press and hold [Lock] and [Measured Fill] for 3 seconds again.

Ice Maker On/Off

You can turn the ice maker on or off from the control panel.

1. Press [Options] to enter Options mode. "Ice Maker" will illuminate.

2. Press [Temp] to toggle between "Ice Maker" and "Ice Maker Off."

When "Ice Maker Off" is selected, it will flash three times and then stay lit. The ice maker will stop producing ice.

Pressing "Ice Maker" when it's off will turn it on.

Fast Cool

The Fast Cool feature is useful for periods of high refrigerator use, large grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures. Fast Cool remains on for 24 hours unless manually turned off.

To turn on: Press [Options] to enter Options mode, then press [Options] again. "Fast Cool" will appear on the display.

To turn off manually: Press [Options] to enter Options mode (if not already there), then press [Options] again. "Fast Cool" will disappear.

NOTE: Setting the freezer colder may make foods like ice cream harder.

Water Filter Status

The water filter status lights indicate when to change your water filter.

The disposable water filter should be replaced at least every 6 months. Replace sooner if water flow decreases noticeably.

The filter reset control restarts the water filter status tracking.

To reset after changing the filter: Press [Options] to enter Options mode, press [Lock] to initiate reset, then press [Measured Fill] to confirm. "Order" and "Replace" icons will disappear.

NOTES:

Dispenser Light

The dispenser lights turn on automatically when the dispenser is used. For continuous light:

The dispenser lights are LEDs and cannot be changed. For troubleshooting, see online "Troubleshooting."

Dispenser Lock

The dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to prevent unintentional dispensing by children and pets.

NOTE: The lock feature deactivates controls and the dispenser lever only; it does not shut off power to the refrigerator, ice maker, or dispenser light.

The display screen indicates when the dispenser is locked.
