5.2 Bulb Replacement

The bulb should not be used for more than 3000 hours. Exceeding the bulb's lifespan can damage the fixture. Regularly check the operating time. If it reaches or approaches 3000 hours, it is recommended to replace the bulb. Follow the correct steps below to remove and replace the bulb. After replacement, reset the bulb usage time.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the process of replacing the bulb:

  • Diagram 1: Shows the fixture with screws to be removed.
  • Diagram 2: Shows removing the top cover by unscrewing two screws.
  • Diagram 3: Shows disconnecting the bulb power cable and manually pulling down the bulb retaining clip.
  • Diagram 4: Shows tilting the fixture slightly (approx. 15°) to remove the bulb.

Follow steps 1-4 to remove the bulb. For replacement, the new bulb also needs to be inserted at an angle of approximately 15°, do not insert directly. For safety, always wear anti-static gloves during the replacement process.

6. Installation and Connection

6.1.1 Installation Diagram

Diagram Description: The diagram shows two fixtures mounted, illustrating typical installation arrangements.

6.1.2 Precautions

  • This product is suitable for indoor use only, with an IP20 protection rating. Keep the fixture clean and avoid use in humid or excessively dusty environments. Perform maintenance once every three months.
  • Installation, operation, and maintenance should only be performed by qualified professionals, ensuring strict adherence to the procedures described in this manual.
  • The fixture should be installed in a well-ventilated area, at least 50CM away from walls, and ensure ventilation holes are unobstructed. Do not look directly at the light source to avoid eye damage.
  • Electrical connections must be performed by qualified installation personnel.
  • Each fixture must be safely grounded, and electrical installation must comply with relevant standards.
  • Do not use power cords with damaged insulation. Do not lay power cords across other wires. When the fixture is not in use or being cleaned, unplug the power cord. Do not pull forcefully or drag the power cord.
  • If the fixture's rear cover has safety buckles or connection holes, use a safety rope threaded through the connection holes for auxiliary hoisting, for safety reasons.

6.2 Power Connection

Diagram Description: The diagram shows multiple fixtures connected in a daisy-chain configuration using Powercon connectors.

Power Connection Instructions:

  • This product uses Powercon in/out connectors.
  • Powercon connectors allow for daisy-chaining of power cables.
  • Note: Due to power requirements, a 1.5 sq mm power cable can support a maximum of 4 units (at 230V).

Warning: Do not connect too many fixtures on a single power line or overload the circuit. Do not use power cords with damaged insulation. Do not lay power cords across other wires. When the fixture is not in use or being cleaned, unplug the power cord. Do not pull forcefully or drag the power cord.

6.3 Signal Connection

DMX Connection:

Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates a DMX daisy-chain connection using XLR connectors, showing DMX INPUT and OUTPUT ports. It also depicts the use of a 120-ohm termination resistor.

DMX Connection Instructions:

  • To minimize signal errors and prevent signal attenuation or interference during transmission, a 120-ohm 1/4W resistor can be added between pins 2 and 3 of the DMX output on the last fixture in the chain.
  • Use XLR signal cables to connect fixtures. Connect one end to the fixture's output and the other end to the next fixture's input.
  • Signal lines must be connected in series (daisy-chain), not in parallel. Because DMX512 signal transmission is very fast, any damage to the signal line, poor soldering, or bad connections can affect signal transmission and cause system shutdown.
  • If a unit's power is interrupted, the DMX output and input connections are bypassed to maintain DMX line continuity.
  • Each fixture requires a unique address code to receive information from the console.
  • A terminator should be installed at the end of the DMX512 system to reduce signal transmission errors.

DMX Address Code Setup:

Channel Mode Address First Fixture Address Second Fixture Address Third Fixture Address Fourth Fixture Address
18CH 001-018 001 019 037 055

(Refer to the diagram above) For fixtures from the 4th unit onwards, the address code is incremented based on the channel mode.
