Product Overview
The Merkury Rover is an outdoor wireless speaker designed for portable use. It features Bluetooth connectivity, IPX5 water resistance, and multiple input options.

Safety Information
- Do not attempt to disassemble the product as it may get damaged and void the warranty.
- Do not use intensive chemical products or detergent to clean the product.
- Do not scratch the surface with sharp objects.
On-Board Controls
The speaker features controls on its top surface:
- 1. Volume Decrease/Previous Track: Press the '-' button.
- 2. Volume Increase/Next Track: Press the '+' button.
- 3. Play/Pause: Press the [play/pause symbol] button once.
- 4. Audio Mode Select: Press the 'M' button to cycle through Bluetooth (BT), USB-A Drive, TF-Card (Micro-SD), and Aux-In modes.
- 5. Power On/Off, Answer/Reset Call: Press and hold the power button [power symbol] for 2-4 seconds to turn the speaker on or off. Press and hold for 8 seconds to reset the speaker. Press once to answer/end a call, or press and hold for 2 seconds to reject a call.
Speaker Inputs
The speaker has ports located on its back panel:
- 1. Micro-SD Card Slot: For playing audio files from a Micro-SD card.
- 2. AUX Audio Input Port: For connecting devices via a 3.5mm AUX cable.
- 3. USB-A Drive Input Port: For playing audio files from a USB flash drive.
- 4. USB-C Charging Port: For charging the speaker's battery.
Charging
To charge the speaker:
- Locate and open the waterproof silicone plug on the back of the speaker.
- Plug the included USB-C charging cable into the USB-C port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible 5V USB adapter or wall outlet.
The small LED indicator on the top of the speaker will glow red while charging and turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 3-5 hours. It is recommended to fully charge the speaker before its first use.
Powering On and Off
- To Turn On: Press and hold the power button [power symbol] for 2-4 seconds. The speaker will emit a tone, and the LED light will turn on.
- To Turn Off: Press and hold the power button [power symbol] for 2-4 seconds. The LED light will turn off.
- To Reset: Press and hold the power button [power symbol] for 8 seconds. The speaker will reset and power off. This is useful if the speaker crashes or cannot connect properly.
Pairing and Connecting a New Bluetooth Device
- Turn the speaker on. It will automatically enter pairing mode, and the LED indicator light will flash blue quickly.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings menu, turn on the Bluetooth feature, and search for new devices.
- Select "MERKURY BT136" from the list of available devices.
- The speaker will emit a tone, and the LED indicator light will remain solid blue when successfully paired.
- To disconnect the Bluetooth connection, press the "M" button once and switch to another playing mode.
Note: If your device's Bluetooth version is below 2.1, you may need to enter the password "0000".
Wireless Speaker Operation
- Connect your device to the speaker via Bluetooth (see "Pairing and Connecting").
- Open your preferred music application and press play.
- Control music playback, tracks, and volume either from your device or directly from the speaker's controls.
- Press the [play/pause symbol] button once to play or pause music.
- Handling Phone Calls: When a call comes in, press the [power symbol] button once to answer or end the call. Press and hold the [power symbol] button for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.
- Press the '-' or '+' buttons to adjust the speaker volume. Press and hold these buttons to skip to the next or previous track.
- All audio output, including music, games, videos, and notifications, will be routed through the speaker.
Note: Volume levels on your device and on the speaker are controlled separately.
Using USB Flash Drive
Insert a USB flash drive into the USB-A port. Any supported audio files found on the drive will begin to play automatically through the speaker. (USB Flash Drive not included).
Using Micro SD Card
Insert a Micro-SD card into the Micro-SD card slot. Any supported audio files found on the card will begin to play automatically through the speaker. (Micro-SD Card not included).
Using AUX Mode
Connect your device to the speaker using a 3.5mm AUX cable. Select music from your device and control playback, tracks, and volume from your device or the speaker's controls.
Switching Playing Modes
Press the "M" button once to switch between the available audio input sources: Bluetooth (BT), USB-A Drive, TF-Card (Micro-SD), and Aux-In.
Reconnecting Bluetooth
- Your Bluetooth device only needs to be paired with the speaker once.
- Ensure your previously paired device's Bluetooth is turned on and within range. Then, power on the speaker.
- The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last Bluetooth device it was connected to.
- If a previously paired device does not auto-reconnect, navigate to the Bluetooth settings menu on your device, select "MERKURY BT136", and choose "Forget this device". Then, follow the instructions in the "Pairing and Connecting a New Bluetooth Device" section to pair the speaker again.
Troubleshooting

Important Waterproof/Safety Information
Important: DO NOT submerge the speaker in water. This device is not intended to function properly after being underwater.
This speaker is rated IPX5, meaning it can withstand splashes of water or exposure to rain, but it should not be submerged. If the speaker gets wet, it is recommended to dry it completely before using it again.
While the speaker has a silicone encasing for protection, it is not drop-proof or indestructible. The speaker may be damaged if dropped from any height. All actions performed with the speaker are at your own risk. The weather-proof and protective case do not guarantee complete damage protection.
