Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the Merkury ENCORE Bluetooth® Speaker and Wireless Microphone (Model: MI-BT135-101). It covers setup, operation, troubleshooting, and specifications.

Reconnect to Bluetooth®
Your Bluetooth® device only needs to be paired with the speaker once. With your previously paired device's Bluetooth® turned on and in range, power on the speaker. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last Bluetooth® device it was connected to.
If your device does not auto-reconnect: Navigate to the Bluetooth® settings menu on your device, turn on the Bluetooth® feature, select "MERKURY BT135" from your list of paired devices, and select "Forget." Then, repeat the "Pair & Connect" steps.
Troubleshooting
- No power: Recharge your ENCORE LED Speaker and Microphone using the included USB type C charging cable. Try using a different cable.
- Music is not playing over Bluetooth®: Ensure your Bluetooth® device has the A2DP profile. Check if both devices are paired and connected over Bluetooth®. Restart the speaker to reconnect your Bluetooth® device.
- Bluetooth® device will not reconnect with the speaker: Navigate to your Bluetooth® settings menu on your device, tap "MERKURY BT135" and select "Forget." Then, follow the steps to pair your device again.

Charging
- Speaker: Plug the USB type C charging cable into the USB-C port on the back of the speaker and connect the other end to a compatible charger or USB AC wall adapter. The small LED indicator will glow red while charging and turn off when fully charged. Charge the speaker for 3 hours before first use.
- Microphone: Use the USB charging cable to plug into the charging port at the bottom of the microphone to charge.
Turn On & Off
Power on the speaker by pressing the power button (power) located on the top of the speaker. The speaker automatically starts in Bluetooth® pairing mode and will connect with previously connected Bluetooth® devices if in range.
Pair & Connect
- Make sure the speaker is turned off and your device's Bluetooth® setting is enabled.
- Turn the speaker on; press and hold the (M) button for 2 seconds. The LED will flash.
- On your Bluetooth® enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth® settings menu, turn on the Bluetooth® feature, and search for new devices.
- Select "MERKURY BT135" from the list. The speaker will emit a tone when successfully paired.
Note: If your device's Bluetooth version is below version 2.1, you may need to enter the password "0000."
AUX-IN: The speaker will switch to wired mode automatically once an AUX cable is inserted into the AUX-IN port.
USB/TF Card Playback: Insert a USB thumb drive or MicroSD card for direct music playback.
On-Board Controls (Top of Speaker)
- Volume / Track Selection: Press the + button once to increase the volume. Press and hold the + button to return to the previous track. Press the - button once to decrease the volume. Press and hold the - button to skip to the next track.
- Mode / LED Effects: Press the (M) button to switch between clock mode and Bluetooth® mode. Press the (M) button twice quickly to have the LED display dance to the rhythm of the music. Press and hold the (M) button to cycle through the various LED lighting effects on the volume knob. In TF card and U disk mode, press and hold the (M) button to disable the single loop/sequential play feature.
- Power: With the speaker powered off, press and hold the (power) button for 3 seconds to turn on the speaker.
On-Board Controls (Microphone)
- Power: Press and hold the [power] button to switch the microphone On/Off.
- Volume / Reverb Control: Press the [volume-reverb-toggle] button once to switch between volume control and reverb control. Press the + button to increase the volume or reverb. Press the - button to decrease the volume or reverb.
- Voice Effects: Press the [voice-effects] button once to cycle through the various special voice effects built into the microphone. Press and hold the [voice-effects] button to reset the special voice effects feature and return to normal voice mode.
Note: When the blue light of the wireless microphone is flashing, it indicates that the microphone battery is running low and needs to be charged.
Play
- Connect your device to the speaker via Bluetooth® (see "Pair & Connect").
- Open your favorite music app and press play.
- Control the music, track, and volume from your device, or use the onboard controls on the speaker.
- All audio, including music, games, videos, and notifications, will be played through the speaker.

- USB drive input port

- LED indicator light (for charging)

- MicroSD/TF card port
